I've heard of Moxie, but never experienced it.

A Dr. Pepper float is definitely good. Anyone want to put a scoop of vanilla into some Rock & Rye?

Looking at the word on CW's Dr. Pepper float...I wonder, has anyone in our audience ever heard of Moxie soft drink....and I'd say that would make a {wild}, maybe nasty would be a better word for it....float.

Whomever is responsible for the marvelous Julienne salad I had for dinner, thanks! That was such a work of art, I almost hated to dig into it!

Took a long walk through beautiful downtown Lombard afterwards, then later napped next to my granddaughter (who was nodding off on my wife's lap).

Sarah, by this time next week I'll be on my way over there! AMG

Evening folks! Just returned from a small road trip. I saw something I have never seen before! Twice, on the same 4 lane highway, a saw a grade crossing! This is a 65 mph highway!!

Lemme guess, the 151 freeway at Beaver Dam And Waupon?

I'd pay good money to see something plow into the side of a train there just once! If there were a few places that could use those barrier gates, those crossings would be it.

Got any Sprecher Root Beer in your frig, diner?

Randy

Dead on! No pun intended! Do you know if traffic is heavy across 151?

Beaver Dam: One train each way 3 times/week.

Waupon: One train each way on weekdays, normally in daylight hours.

Randy

Thanks for the info. I guess daylight hours helps the odds.

Espeefoamer, they're very simple: put ice cream in a cup, and add Dr. Pepper!!
Haven't had one in years. We always had ice cream in the fridge, and in the
summer time, made homemade ice cream quite a bit. Dr. Pepper floats always
tasted better with the homemade ice cream (vanilla, of course).

Well here's the news on my softball game. I lost :( My team was doing very well while we were in the feild and bating. This went on for the first 4 inings. Then we screwed up in the fifth ining and allowed the other team to get more than 4 home runs. That sucked. My position on the team is catcher. My teamates call me the hockey player because, I play ice hockey and just recently joined the softball team. I got 2 outs in the entire game. I could of got three outs but at one time I wasn't paying attention to the game because a train went by. That was more important at the time. hehehehe. My coach did kind of yell at me for that. OPPPPS?///!

Yes locomutt I have a C & O hat too that I wouldn't trade for anything. The cap is actually black with the logo blue and yellow. I'm positively sure me and Carl will have a good time even if a hurricane came through!! lol

I think I'm going to go for some beef tips and mashed potatos. I'll put some gravy on the potatos and beef. I think I will have the brocoli ( I call them little trees) and carrots. I think I'll have some cranberry juice with din din. :)

Still waiting on the confirmation, but if I was the "successful high bidder" at our local PBS auction, I picked up another cab ride on the Adirondack Scenic RR. [:D] Just not sure which end. Since I already have one for the Lake Placid end, I'm gonna try really hard to get the Thendara end...

Mookie - that's an interesting shade of green!

Joe,

Pancakes are ready; have plenty of syrup, blueberries, strawberries,
whatever you want on your pancakes. Also, for Sunday brunch we have:
bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, watermelon, cantalope, and some

It was a fair question which did not warrant such a reply.

Actually it wasn't;if you knew anything about the 'Diner',
you would have already known that, and not asked the question.
