Go right ahead. Your more than welcome to. I'm not big on salad but I love ranch dressing so I do partake once in a while.
If we were talking fruit salad I would take some in a heartbeat. Fresh strawberrys,banana,peach,kiwi,grapes,oranges.....with a little whipped cream.......hold on I have to wipe the drool off my chin.

Chad, we've got the following for lunch:

lasagna, Texas garlic toast, garden salad , iced tea, lemonade, and
fruit punch. Interesting combination, huh?

Supper tonight will be meat loaf, mashed potatoes & gravy, and
chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream.

Lasagna sounds good, but I must say MEATLOAF, again...(lol)

Just had that last night...

Weather? Whither?

We're supposed to have a steady warmup after the freezing temps of the past two nights here; it might hit 80 by Mother's Day, when I leave. I'll be checking the Philly forecast within the next couple of days.

Not packed yet--too much stuff that I use in the intervening days. I'm going to have a rough time fitting everything into the grip I plan on using (Sarah knows about some of the stuff I plan on leaving with her).

Baby girl's final orchestral concert as an undergraduate is tonight. She'll get her Bachelor of Music degree on Friday the 13th (one of the reasons I have to come back so soon).

I LOVE lasagne! Will take some with a salad & ranch.

Carl - are you packed yet? You know we discussed this!

What's the weather forecast look like? I am too lazy to go look it up.

Looking at some of the post on various topics going on, I had to check the phase of the moon last night. Puzzling, it turns out that it was not a full moon.

Is any one surprised that it turns out that railfans are very tolerant people? After all, we have to put up with other railfans, and that is a real test..

RIRR80. Welcome to the DD&CS. Speaking of tolerance though, you want to be careful not to be too demanding of the help. Usually the only "tips" they get are tips on the best places to go look at trains. Also, one of the regulars, who has something to do with keeping tracks on the straight and narrow (ah, make that straight and standard), prefers M-slash-W rather M-Oh-W. May have something to do with confusion about who cuts the grass.

Just coffee to go this this morning. The sun feels warm this morning, so I am going to sit out on the bench on the platform, read the morning paper, and have a smoke. (Don't mind the absence of a smoking section, keeps me less than 1/2 a pack a day.)

aren't in. Or we have Larry grilling.

GOOD MORNING ALL! Mookie, I'll have 2 eggs over easy, crispy hash browns, soft bacon ,wheat toast and acuppamud. I tip very good. My wife is a waitress so I know your angst. She hayes short tippers. While I'm waiting for my coffee, I'll get aquainted and clear thoughts from my head. I work swing between 3rd and 1st (yes it does suck, but it makes the "train payments" upstairs, so never know when I'll post. Depends on how tough the night was. I'm the supervisor so some nights are easier than others. Some nights I just go into my office ( bathroom ) to do paperwork ( a copy of MRR ) for an hour or so. Good mud Mookie! It has to be a suck day to be a UP MOW worker today! They had a DRail at Galt ILL yesterday at 5:30. It's 20 minutes from the house so I took off for photos but by the time I got there security was onsite. Now this morning, the had another in Fremont. The one in Galt took out a bridge so they will have to reroute for a couple of days. Hope they use BNSF, cause that will bring them 3 blocks from the house, and should make for some interesting photos with the town backdrops. As far as hybrid cars, mine is a 78 FORD 3/4 ton with lift kit and 425 horse 460. GIDDYUPANDGO!!!!!! They're dead dinosaurs I don't think they'll mind if I burn up their cousins a little quicker. jhhtrainsplanes, we have no grass in yard, it's all Hostas and other plants. We have over 100 hostas and for the past 2 nights it looks like a yard sale blew up on the whole yard. Every towel and sheet we own is covering the hostas from the frost. Japanese maples are looking real droopy but hopefully will recover. Lost 40 dollars worth of coleus we just planted a week ago. Anyway here comes Mookie with my food, so I'll sign off and eat. The ROCK lives on ( at least in my upstairs ) and GO CUBS!!
