Welcome back to the fold, Kevin! We've missed you!!

Supper is special is roast, potatoes, carrots. And you have a choice
of cabbage or cole slaw. Too warm here today to do a whole lot of
cooking; but we also have some beef barbeque sandwiches with
potato chips.

well they certainly had some good weather yesterday... made it up in the high seventies and few clouds... i even managed to find myself a new railfanning spot, a foot bridge over the Northeast Corridor and Frankford Yard, with a nice view of a line that comes from New Jersey and connects into the NEC. I should have some pics sometime soon.

Larry, here's a couple of meatloaf sandwiches for you. Made them on the
big size: know you'll need to keep up your strength!

And fievel, you can have pizza anytime. But what's wrong with scrambled
eggs and fried potatoes?! Sometimes, I've been known to have a bowl
of chilli for breakfast. So, whatever floats your boat, I always say!

Pizza ! Is it too early for pizza ? I'll gladly take cold leftovers. It's either that or
scrambled eggs and fried potatoes.

A commercial for a pizza shop in Oklahoma City some years ago had a guy complaining about having liver and onions for supper all the time. "But what's wrong with that?" "Liver one night and onions the next???"

I'll have a meatloaf sandwich for lunch if there's any left over.

We here in the north country don't have to worry about most of those creepy crawlies (although I've seen a lot of them in my travels). On the other hand, I think Minnesota may beat us on size, but our mosquitos still seem almost big enough to hunt with a shotgun sometimes... At least we don't have to worry about them after the first good frost...

Good morning all! Ugly heat to be here today: high is to be 86 degrees.

Breakfast special this morning will be sausage patties with biscuits and
gravy. And whatever else you may want for breakfast. Also have some
cantaloupe chunks.

Tina, I'll save a half-cantaloupe shell for you, so you'll have to find a
neighbor's kitty to put it on it's head.

Lunch special today will be tuna salad on toast. Will also have a "he-man"
special for the guys: big thick roast beef sandwich and potato wedges.

mbkcs.....You need to go to bed earlier! And you need to move farther north and get away from all those horrid little animals. I lived temporarily in Oklahoma many years ago - saw scorpions, tarantulas and centipedes - icky.....Nebraska doesn't have those "items". In fact, we don't have much of anything in this area. Even the rain is avoiding us...

But we do have good kitties...........[^] ......^~^

Tom, glad you are feeling better.

Ms. Moo, I so wanted to find a cat and a cantaloupe and make a hat out of the latter and then see what the cat would look like. Trouble is I am too tired from packing to scrape the seeds out of a cantaloupe. And my last cat was left in Wisconsin with a new family. Still very sad about it all.

So Jay, send Garfield. There was a showdown last night between me and a very assertive spider. This time my shoes dealt the final blow. I have never seen a spider that actually eyed-me, held his ground and then came right towards me. AAUUGGGHH!!!

CW, I don't like meatloaf, never did. I need a plate to go as I have so much packing yet to do. What will you be serving for breakfast in a few hours that I can take with me?

Oh, I almost forgot. I saw Maintenance in the Way again. Same piece of track in Rogers, AR. I am so tempted to go up to them one day and say, "Are you really called maintenance in the way?" But then I would have to scream back, "I use to be a dispatcher " on the way to my car, in the hopes they would stop chasing me. Then again, maybe that wouldn't be the best thing to yell.

Tom,
Very glad you are back with us. Both CW and I KNOW about
those things. Hope the antibiotics kick in soon.
(and sinus infections are not contagious, unless you are 'running'
a fever.)

And there is plenty of meatloaf for you.

Hi folks!!

Finally was able to get to the Dr. today. I have a bad sinus inflection so keep your distance. I'm still hurting but I hope the drugs kick in in a few days.

I'll have some of that meatloaf.

Mudchicken, CW says to tell you that she always keeps plenty of instant
cider, especially for any of you in a "cooler" climate. There's also plenty
of meatloaf. Matter of fact, she'll probably fix you up with a whole bag of
meatloaf sandwiches, if you want her to.

Hope Denali will be spruced up, and NOT going to the scrapper.

I'll go for meatloaf too. - They send me back up the hill and it starts snowing again. Thursday oughta be fun. Start rummaging around in back and see if there is any instant hot cider left- think I'm gonna need it.

Interesting sight today whilst out surveying on an ex CB&Q line. At Broomfield, CO we saw a Denver bound train with a business car tucked-in near the back. After we cleared for the train, we saw that it was the Alaska RR "Denali" (AAR1) ----a lon-n-n-n-n-n-g way from home. Hope it's in Denver for some sprucing-up at Rader Railcar and not off to the scrapper.
Mudchicken Nothing is worth taking the risk of losing a life over. Come home tonight in the same condition that you left home this morning in. Safety begins with ME.... cinscocom-west

Well, looks like the meat loaf is going over really good tonight. Joe,
did you make the strawberry pie yourself? It's very tasty!! Had a small
slice after I ate some liver & onions. Maybe later, I'll fix myself a
meatloaf sandwich with Miracle Whip salad dressing.
