Le Pant, Le Pant..... I was accosted by a white rabbit and Pepe La Pew trying to get in the diner this morning. It wasn't pretty!

I am delighted to see that Sir Chicken will be sending me a can of .... dare I say it.....I am all giddy......CHICKEN! Right? Wonder if the can of chicken will be driving a rather large pick-em-up truck and doing about 90 mph past Applebees?[(-D]

Gotta go look at the picture Ed submitted. He does nice work.

We are having a "your are going to have a baby" lunch today. No, silly - it isn't for me!

A co-worker. So driver made a big 'tainer of chicken (there's that word again) spinach, dill salad again. Will leave some for lunch.

It is chicken (canned will do), thawed pkg of frozen spinach or fresh if you want to mess, sour cream, mayo, onion, dill, salt and pepper to taste. Serve on a croissant - or cwahsant if you are very proper. To die for. I have to fight off the girls that know I am bringing it so they don't eat it all - sampling - before lunch. Great on a hot, humid day, which we are going to be having here in a day or two.

Enjoy

Good morning, all!! Looks like it's going to be a beautiful day today. High
in the low 70s. I love it!! correction: high in the low to mid 80s today:
finger got on wrong key earlier!

Breakfast this morning will be turkey bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs,
biscuits & gravy, fried potatoes, milk, juice and coffee.

Mookie, I listened to your request. from yesterday, and we will have tuna
casserole today. Think I'll make enough so we can have it for supper.

I think Joe volunteered some Skyline/ Gold Star 3-way chili and cheese coney's from another post. Wash it all down with diet Vernors or Barq's....(Joe- Does Matt want Barq's Red-Pop Creme Soda with those fries????)

Have to get a care package together for Mookie so she can watch the can opener with this stuff!

Congrats Ed! -at least you don't have to worry about blowing your "cover"![bow][bow][bow]

(pssst...need tuna casserole soon CW) I'll watch the can opener!

You know, since they started making pop top tuna/chicken cans, they took all the excitement out of a cat's life! Now they better be awake and use their nose!

I think that with our birthday celebrations this morning, we'll just have cold cut
sandwiches for lunch. Also have some Jell-o salads for lunch.

Produce this morning wasn't much: some potatoes, squash, green beans
and yellow squash.

Guess I'll fry up a big mess of potatoes, onions and squash for supper, and
have the green beans and a meat loaf for meat loaf sandwiches.

The french-fry supply in NW Ohio is in jeopardy![:O]

Mook: Dumping ballast for surfacing is an ongoing thing, especially around switches. As busy as Hobson is, summertime is prime time for the surfacing gangs and equipment! Have fun watching the yellow machinery do it's thing! (Drainage-Drainage-Drainage!...keep the mudmonster at bay![;)])

We're supposed to have a pleasant rest-of-the-week, starting tomorrow; you two Wisconsinites are welcome to share it with us. Highs in the 70s. I wish I could do my computer stuff trackside!

If it's still warm in Ohio, I'll buy Matt some ice cream in honor of his birthday. He's lucky--all Sarah got was a phone call [;)].

They have been doing some ballast work here in our area. Seems like they put it down and before long, they are putting it down again. Ballast must be a major commodity on at least the BNSF in our area. Think the trolls under the bridge take it?

Just a bit of railroad stuff this morning....Noted over the weekend NS had a sizeable train on that siding here in Muncie {that generally gets the cut of covered hoppers to be moved ??? ...somewhere else}, this train had 2 engines..{shut down}, and the cars were all ballast cars loaded and ready to be put down somewhere...not too far away, I suppose. Anyway, it was on it's way by Monday morning to whereever it was needed. This is the siding that gets a cut of covered hoppers every several days and they stand for a day or so and then they are gone....Never have figured what that movement is all about.....It's on what they call the Frankfort line...

Happy Birthday Matt and Sarah - Brought chocolate cake and new fur hat for Matt and booties for Sarah.

Matt's hat has a tail and looks suspiciously like a neighborhood raccoon that thought he could beat the bus! He wasn't much smarter than the people who try to beat the trains!

And Sarah - well every lady should have fur booties.

Mook!

We have TWO birthdays on the forum today: along with little Matt, today
is also Sarah's birthday! May they both have a very happy birthday today.

Breakfast will be on the breakfast bar this morning: on it you will find
all the regular breakfast items. I will be gone for awhile this morning:
it's Produce Tuesday, so I'm going to see what I can get for us this
morning. See you all again later on in the morning.
