CW I really can't wait for the beef stew and corn bread. I think I'm going to end up having a lot of that corn bread. I both corn and bread are my favorite foods. CW watch out I hope you have an unlimited supply of cornbread and butter. Did I hear that we are going to have brownies later on?????!!!!!!! If we are I want some :):)

Oh my did I have an interesting day at school today. I had shop class and we mainly did NOTHING. Anyway, three classmates of mine started one of the shop's doner cars a 2000 Nissan Sentra and blasted the song Tostise Roll, then they started bouncing the car with the beet of the music. Man was that funny!!! I wish I had my cam corter. I haven't heard that song in ages. Then a couple of the guys put a Ford F150 on a lift and started it and spun the rear tires, that was also funny. A stationary 200 some hp truck going no were. Then they heald drag races with two lawn mowers, one of them ran out of gas. I ran outside today to see an empty gondola train durring shop, a couple of people though I was crazy. This is what we mainly learn in shop class, interesting...................I worry about some of the technical skills of some of my classmates. lol.

Hope you all enjoyed the beef stew and cornbread for lunch. I've got the
next batch simmering for supper. And the cornbread is staying warm just
by sitting next to the pot on the stove/range.

Lunch and supper menu special today: beef stew with cornbread. That's
what Mutt and I will also be having here at home. Got it going in the diner:
now I just have to get it going for our supper tonight.

Think I will make some fruit cobblers for dessert tonight: blackberry, strawberry,
and I believe I still have some frozen peaches in the freezer from last summer.

< ~ > Just waded through the forum. Wow - it is a little hard on the ears this morning!

Ah fond memories - I read Alice in Wonderland as a child, loved White Rabbit as an adult and now reliving all those memories as an old-heimer.

Heat is on - no more moisture. We are going into summer just like we should here in the true mid-west. 3 h's are back.

mmm - smell the bacon and sausage? I can make toast, but can't flip eggs. Ugh - can barely eat eggs - nasty little items. So you will have to forego the eggs until someone taller and handier comes in....

Good Thursday morning, everyone!! It's currently 67 degrees here, and a projected
high of only 80 degrees. Then, tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday, highs in the
upper 70s. Glorious weather.

Breakfast this morning will be: Whatever you want, I'll fix it (as long as it's on the
breakfast menu here at the Diner).

Was born way too late to see the band, but it is pretty easy to learn to play on electric bass. Ranks right up there with Dazed and Confused.

IIRC, the original story is about drugs.

Reminds me of the song by Jefferson Airplane, I think it was "White Rabbit", could be wrong on the title.

Strange, as that song (come to think of it, the movie too) talked alot about drugs......

And that's as far as I'm taking this thread........

Firefighter safety is getting a huge amount of attention right now. Nationwide, we've lost 10 more firefighters than we had at this time last year. The International Association of Fire Chiefs, as well as a dozen other organizations, have called for a "Safety Stand Down" on June 21, specifically to help raise everyones awareness of the hazards we face.

Larry, that sounds like a great idea to me: a lot of people in this world do not realize
the all the dangers you guys and gals have to face out there, each and every day.
Should be nationwide!!

Mudchicken is not eastbound for a few weeks, and not to Cinci. Westbound next week.

When in Cincy with laptop, ship Mookie a sample of Skyline's finest (I don't think there is any chicken in there MissyGato!.........http://www.skylinechili.com/.) and keep an eye peeled for wayward railcars on the NNE side of town!

At this moment it is 62 degrees F, overcast with some sprinkles. I am trying to figure out a way to store a very large amount of this cool air to use when the the temp goes back to 90+, as it always does.

Leaving tomorrow for Cincy, then on to the Smokeys and Lake Lanier at Gainsville, GA. With laptop in tow, should be able to stop by for a bite to eat. Is the Mudchicken on the way to Ohio? I'll clean up any mess before I leave.
