I bought a 45RPM of a novelty song when elder daughter was in about third grade--that had to be 20 years ago, and the place I bought it had to do a search for me. Boy, did I pay! (Was worth it--entertained Ellen's class for years with it!)

No but, tidal surge backs up the bayous and spillways restricting the natural drain off and causing the streets to flood. Houston isn't high enough to have gravity overcome this problem, and since the gulf, via the channel is where it drains to.....Allison caused all sorts of flooding in that part of Houston several years ago.

....Had to be 78's....I remember the first jute box in our little home town was in a bar restaurant {two different rooms}, and it was a Wurlitzer and that would have been shortly after WWII, perhaps about '47....There was no flipping over the records, etc....it just had about a dozen stacked up on one side and the selector would move up and down the stack and remove one and swing it around to playing position and bingo...Music...!

Not exactly, but I remember hearing recordings of Spike Jones and his City Slickers doing Johny Cash's "Ghostriders in the Sky."

Along with great lines like:
