...Must make a comment on what unfolded as a tragedy over in West Va. at the mine explosion...I come from coal country in Pennsylvania so I'm familiar...The Quecreek incident back in 2002 was just 5 miles from my home....and this one, with the conflicting reports last night...{early morning}, is such a tragedy for those miners and their families. My thoughts and prayers are with all those families and the people who tried to make a rescue happen.

Good Wednesday morning, everyone! Nice temp this morning: 45 degrees F.

For breakfast this morning, we have: turkey bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy,
scrambled eggs, or your can have a bowl of oatmeal w/toast, and applesauce,
made from the apples I got at Produce yesterday.

This is trully going to be a good year for me. A lot of great and interesting things have happened to me. My girlfriend and I are back together; I passed all my courses for the first semester in College despite some B.S trying to louse it up, I am still working for my member for provincial parliment and now I will be working on a candidate for federal parliment's campaign and a friend of mine who is running for alderman/ city councilor for Niagara Falls.

Crazy huh? The year has just started and my life is really busy. See ya all later

To the Mookster:

WELCOME BACK![#welcome]

nssr9169, welcome to the forums and to the diner [#welcome] I'm very sure you'll enjoy things here. The food here in the diner is great, provided by our very own cook CW. One word of advise here don't **** off the cook. lol

Weather.....well it looks like Mutt and CW received some serious weather yesterday, with that twister comming through and all. I'm glad to hear everything is ok. Over here in the great state of PA we are currently under a flash flood warning and, some parts of tha state are flooded. It has been raining here for two days now. The following rivers are flooded Schuykill, Susquehanna, and the Lehigh. The river that is most violent right now is the Schuykill. From my observations and data the Schuykill rose about 1 foot today, at the Conshohcken dropoff, river current about 15 mph, center.

CW I'm going to eat some din din now I really do need it!!!!

Joe, and locomutt, you've got the supper menu for tonight:

lasanga with a nice, fresh garden salad, and garlic toast/bread.

Dessert will be some fresh apples I got at Produce this morning.

And leave Mookie alone: know she's catching up on all the work!!

Okay, lunch is now ready for everyone's consumption (in other words,
eating). Still trying to decide on a supper menu special for tonight.

I have personally checked Mookie's hammock, and no one is in it.
So it's all cleaned up, and ready for Mookie to curl down for a nap. Even
turned on the heater for her.

Although it is comfortable, I'm convinced that hammock is haunted. Last time I fell asleep in it I got all tangled up.....

Walt, thank you for fixing the coffee and making the juice.

Since I'm now "in the building", breakfast will be: Ed's birthday cake, since
hardly anyone touched it Saturday night. Never did see Ed in here; must
have gotten caught up in work down there in Houstontown. So we'll have
chocolate birthday cake for breakfast. Don't worry about the calories: when
you have your sweets for breakfast, you burn up the calories in them though-
out the day.

Lunch will be: beef strips w/red and green peppers, tomatoes, and green
beans mixed together.

I have personally checked Mookie's hammock, and no one is in it.
So it's all cleaned up, and ready for Mookie to curl down for a nap. Even
turned on the heater for her.

The "hammock" should be "warmed up" for Madame;(unless someone else got to it
first.(pity them) Not real sure about cake and waffles,'tho there should be a few leftovers.

BC;ain't none of us going to catch your "Lil Sis";she's too fast for all of us.[:D]
(Congrats on making it that far)

Coffee and juice are out;a few items on the "warmer bar" are also out, have fun fixing what
you want,'til CW and others come in.[|)]

Are the hammock and milk ready? Someone should be returning soon, after a long winter's catnap!

Oh, yeah--cake, too, or maybe chocolate waffles for breakfast.

Larry, think the "weather" is out of here for a few days, and as far as the
"morning commute",you have your choice of being "blown away",or "Slip Sliding Away" !!!! We are supposed to get semi-cold tonight, not as cold as some people already have been;I guess you could say that this was : "The "Balm" Before the Storm"!
