I have been a Model Railroader since mid 80's.

As a "yout" I had and HO layout on an old Ping Pong table. many hours of play. When it had to come down in mid 70's I was disappointed  and turned to building plastic models. Mostly trucks, hence my avitar. 

Two events happened one December that brought me back to the hobby. My brother who is very creative had sent me an N scale Bachman N scale train set as a Christmas gift. . He wrote in the card he remembered I had a train set when we were little. Seeing this set reminded him and since it was on clearance though of it as a gift. It sure got me nostalgic. then same time while reading the local paper I saw an ad for a train show at the local high school I graduated from. I was interested as i had never been to a train show. There I met an N-Trak group. Very friendly and engaging group. A shout out to Lake Erie N scale Society LENS.  I went home that day with a renewed interest in the hobby. I have been engaged ever since.  Moving to south Texas in 2008 an area with few model railroaders, I am kind of a loan wolf. I am building my first layout.
