I'm sure there's more on the ground there - that was just a 24 hour total....

Geez - the other day I could only find one degree floating around, and today I get an IOU!!! 16 of 'em I owe! Sun's out again, though, after a few inches of snow yesterday (more in persistant lake effect areas).

Just getting over a nasty cold myself. Note to all: Wash your hands really well, and at all the appropriate times!

Here's your coffee, Mookie. Along with some toast, and turkey bacon.

Breakfast menu: turkey bacon, toast, and after I get my eyes open,
there will be be some sausage, biscuits & gravy and scrambled
eggs. Had one of those nights where I woke up at 1 a.m., and then
went back to sleep about 3:45 this morning.[|)][zzz]

Don't pick up" hitch hikers" around the Circleville,Oh. area;they might have
gotten away from one of those "detainment centers"!!

Used to railfan in that area quite a few years ago, always lived on the Ky

Carl, and Sarah, I now have my voice back! Also, Carl, you will not find mayo
in this house. Strickly Miracle Whip. If I can't find the regular Miracle Whip, then I
do get the Miracle Whip Lite.

Hope everyone is enjoying their BLTs and fries that I fixed for supper!![:)]

Carl;as to the first,I definitely hope so !!
(We are patiently (?) awaiting said inspection.)

As to the other,"Miracle Whip" is basically all that get used around here.
(The "Other" is,however,available upon request.)

I hope you two are over this in time for inspection three weeks from now!

Cher, I had one of your delicious roast-beef sandwiches this noon. Took it up to a second-story observation point, from which I saw four freight trains in the time it took to eat lunch.

Sarah, we were out on the road coming home from work a couple of days ago and saw three crazy drivers. Didn't look at their tags, but we don't need any of those Jersey imports, I'm thinking. And all three of them--in three different locations--were attempting to make left turns while to the right of another person going left (one of them made it impossible for me to turn right, another caused me to miss the light by blocking my through lane, and the third was just plain confused, I guess.).

BLTs--may I join you? (Hate to be picky, but would prefer light Miracle Whip instead of mayo on mine! Mayo has not been sitting very well with me lately. I understand they have a clinic for such problems--somewhere in Minnesota?)

...But CW, then we get way up into the 40s'....later on in the week...ha....But you being 140 miles farther south then I may even hit into the 50's...
Jim.....Yes, on your "homers" ref's....The wife and I follow our NBA Pacer's pretty close and we seem to pick up so many injuries to our team....We think the game should be controlled more strictly and prevent some of those injuries. Of course in the NBA the ref's travel all over the circuit so doubt there is not much of the "homers" officiating. One sure does get the idea though his "home" team is being unjustified in some of the calls.....

CW and Mutt you both need to GET BETTER ASAP!!!! I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that we don't want you guys catching any kinds of colds what so ever!!!!!!! You both have alreay been through enough. So in light of that I think you should get rid of the cold and blow it across the street...........hint , hint, wink, wink...........

Well, my day wasn't too exciting. Today I did run into alot of America's Dumbest Drivers on my way to and from work. Many of them had Jersey tags, yes sad but true......... Anyway, I am very tired now and can' t wait for those BLTs and that salad tonight!!! Yes, I think I need more than one BLT.

Mookie, must be something that's in the air. Nance69 has it also. Except I don't
think she's totally lost her voice. Just sounded very froggy when I talked with her
last night. Didn't know that it could be carried by reading someone else's posts![}:)]

Sure hope everyone has found the open faced roast beef sandwiches I fixed for
lunch. Put them out on the warmer bar. Gave you your choice today of mashed
taters w/gravy, or fries.

Supper tonight will be: BLTs w/fried taters and garden salad.

Still trying not to talk much. Alternating between a croak and a loud whisper.[:I]

Just heard on our noon news that for Saturday & Sunday, we'll be having
high temps in the low 20s both days, with flurries or light snow showers.
They're saying the accumulation may be dusting to 1/2 to 1 in. of snow.[:(]

Pretty much depend where the game was played. Remember most refs are from close to the arena where the game will be played. Their calls most generally go for the home team. We always called them "homers", because their calls were for the home team. A charge (offensive foul) at one end became a defensive foul at the other. One of my buddies' dad was in charge of the ATF in this area. (If you remember Waco, he was one of the ones on the roof who was shot and carried off in a sleeping bag upon the hood of a jeep or truck on the evening news.) Anyway he got so upset at one game(because the reffing was so one sided) because the game was becoming increasing violent and flagrant elbows were being throw with no calls again the offending team. Then my buddie received a flagrant elbow to the jaw, with no foul called, and it was all we could do to keep his dad off the floor. This is one reason wins are hard to come by on the road, because the refs are usually homers.

Now back to the weather. [;)] They are having a very hard time predicting the weather here lately. We were below freezing last night and today it is only about 38 degrees with almost a 10 mph wind. So it is a cold day and a coat is required. They are saying that some parts of Arkansas cold get snow or freezing rain tomorrow but are not sure which or when. If we get snow it won't be that much or stay very long.

Now for the bad news, today is Monday. [B)] So it is time to walk the dog, fix lunch, and start getting ready for work. [:0]

Take Care All [:)]

Well, I finally woke up this morning! Been up about 25 minutes. Can't talk
at all this morning. Going to do a lot of pointing today. Guess I shouldn't
have cleaned out the freezer yesterday, then restocked it.

Breakfast specials this morning will be: oatmeal w/toast, pancakes and
syrup, turkey bacon and sausage.

Was looking around for degrees this morning, but could only find one. At least the sun is out and the lake effect machine isn't running.

Hooker, NY (more a point on the map), located on Tug Hill, was reported by the Weather Channel last night as having gotten 33" of snow in the recent lake effect event that precipitated that picture I posted a few days ago.
