Remember most refs are from close to the arena where the game will be played. Their calls most generally go for the home team. We always called them "homers", because their calls were for the home team. A charge (offensive foul) at one end became a defensive foul at the other. One of my buddies' dad was in charge of the ATF in this area. (If you remember Waco, he was one of the ones on the roof who was shot and carried off in a sleeping bag upon the hood of a jeep or truck on the evening news.) Anyway he got so upset at one game(because the reffing was so one sided) because the game was becoming increasing violent and flagrant elbows were being throw with no calls again the offending team. Then my buddie received a flagrant elbow to the jaw, with no foul called, and it was all we could do to keep his dad off the floor. This is one reason wins are hard to come by on the road, because the refs are usually homers.

Now back to the weather. [;)] They are having a very hard time predicting the weather here lately. We were below freezing last night and today it is only about 38 degrees with almost a 10 mph wind. So it is a cold day and a coat is required. They are saying that some parts of Arkansas cold get snow or freezing rain tomorrow but are not sure which or when. If we get snow it won't be that much or stay very long.

Now for the bad news, today is Monday. [B)] So it is time to walk the dog, fix lunch, and start getting ready for work.
