Dan, you might try getting back in "Good Graces" by offering some Chocolate Cake;

if that doesn't work, you'll probably need more than "Tin Shoes!" Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Walt I don't think I can bake that much chocolate anything that fast.  Time to hide.  I'll leave what I've got out for her.

Hey everyone!  You all having a good afternoon, late morning?  We are cold, temp is in the mid 30s, with winds blowing around 25, gusting to about 35 mph.  Vehicles only had a very light dusting of snow this morning.

Now, it's time for our Tuesday Mexican Fiesta!  On today's menu:

1.  beef & bean burritos
2.  beef burrito enchilada style
3.  tacos (crunchy & soft shell)
4.  enchiladas
5.  quesadillas
6.  Spanish rice
7.  Fajitas
And there shredded lettuce w/chopped onion and tomatoes, if you want that over your burritos, etc.  And the usual thick & chunky salsa and con queso w/tortilla chips.  (I could make a meal just with chips and a mixture of salsa & con queso!!)

Regular desserts of cakes, pie and cobblers are also on hand.

I knew there was a reason I ordered the Chipolte Chicken sandwich at Panera Bread during my business luncheon today...now I know what the reason was!

Fraid not.  That's got Mookie's name on it.  After she's done with it, then it's up for grabs.

Love mexican food MC, make mine smothered in green and put a little extra japaleno in it.

Raining and it looks like we will not see the eclipse tonight. Oh well they come back frequently unlike Halley's comet. I saw it in 86 but do not expect to be here for its return.

Might be worth it to have a chat with "da hammer" if that chocolate cake is as good as it sounds!

                                  ...or maybe not.

Good Thursday morning, everyone!  Dan, I'll help you guard the chocolate cake this morning.  As much as I love chocolate, you made it for Mookie, and I won't even touch it until Mookie has a biiiiig slice of it!

Coffee, juice, hot cider, hot chocolate, and hot tea are ready for you all.

Breakfast choices this morning:  bagels, bear claws, all kinds of doughnuts (especially chocolate covered doughnuts), long doughnuts with cream inside, smothered in chocolate), vanilla filled doughnuts, and the following danish:  pineapple, apple, peach, raspberry, strawberry.  (If we get the ice storm predicted to start this afternoon, won't be able to make the trip to the bakery in the morning for the Friday morning doughnut feast.)  Tomorrow morning, we'll go back to regular breakfast menu.

O chocolate cake, what chocolate cake....?  Big Smile [:D]

Dan - it is 6 below wind chill - so you are doing better.  Just need some weather stripping now around the door.

Ah spring - 32 today for a high.

Will have a cup of coffee now and try not to look too electrified from all the sweets.....Help yourselves - I am good now for about an hour or so.

Good morning all. CW, with the spread you are putting out this morning, it is hard to decide.... Would it be possible for some colored butterbeans for this evening's supper. I seem to have a taste for some of them and a slab of fatback! Currently 46 in Carolina and partly cloudy.

CW, the breakfast menu sounds great, I might stop in later this morning and grab a bear claw or a cream-filled roll. I am already pretty well wired, I sat here in my living room last night before going to bed and ate seven chocolate chip cookies which I had purchased at my neighborhood bakery. With all that sugar in my system I am surprised that I didn't wake up with any heart burn.

We have 1 degree above 0 here in Sioux Falls, and the wind chill is at -14 below 0. It is supposed to warm up to about 19 this afternoon.

I have the day off from my job today and I am going to use some of my free time to do a little bit of house cleaning here. I have taken a couple orders for homemade cookies from a couple people I work with at Wendy's, so I stand to make a little money on that. Chef [C=:-)] But I want to make sure my kitchen is reasonably clean before I do any baking.

Up from -5 overnight, at the airport.

Have to throw my bearclaw on the grill for a moment to warm it up (a little butter brushed on is good, too).

Time for class.

We are getting snow/freezing rain right now.  They closed the middle/high schools at 10, and the elementary schools at 11:20 this morning.  Traffic seems to be going pretty smoothly in front of our house.  And several businesses are already closing, or will be closing 5 hours early today.  The public library will be closing all locations at 2 p.m.

Our current temp is 26.6F, and not sure about wind chill reading.

Tom, your request has been filled, and is on the warmer bar, along with Mutt's Italian spaghetti casserole and garlic bread.  Have plenty of garden salad made up and in the cooler.

Desserts today:  all the usual cakes, pies and cobblers.

Everyone take care this afternoon, and stay dry, warm and safe!!

....Hey thanks friends....I must confess Jen, my Optometrist is a beautiful gal and very talented so it's not difficult to go there, except writing the check.

CW....Just had a dish of Pecan-carmal ice cream right here at the computer so I better pass on any other goodies now.

Would you believe......77 today.

But still going.....

CW.....That stuff you were talking about down south of us this morning is making itself evident here now in the form of a few small snow flakes.

The bad part about other people having birthdays is that it means I'm getting older, too.

Gotta work late - will have to stop in later for a snack.
