Glad to know you all enjoyed breakfast this morning!  Just got back a little while ago.  Had to go to the Post Office for stamps (had zero stamps here at home), and had to wait in line.  Only had one worker behind the counter this morning.  There are usually two, if not three, workers to wait on customers.

Beginning to cloud up outside.  May see some rain before too long.

I've got vegetable beef soup ready for lunch, along with your choice of the following sandwiches:  tuna salad, grilled cheese, and BLTs to go with the soup.

Mudchicken, do you need a sled dog?  We could provide the dog (our husky/shepherd mix), but, unfortunately, you'd have to provide the sled.

CW, I'll have the tuna salad Sandwich and a cup of soup. Then I will rest and perhaps take a nap. Been up since 4:30 and have completed several chores.

Still cool in AZ mountains but sun is shining so it was warm while working outside.

Mookie, is that a sled toboggan, or a toboggan hat?!?!?!Wink [;)]Big Smile [:D]

Joe, I've got a couple of BLTs and a large container of tomato soup ready for you.

Just heard our latest weather report, and the rain/storms are not supposed to come in until after midnight.  Most likely, it'll hit our area, right at rush hour in the morning, with people going to work.  At least the kids won't be at the bus stops in the morning, since they're all on Spring Break here.

I've got more vegetable beef soup, tomato soup, and the sandwiches ready for supper.  You all enjoy, and have a good evening.

How high is the water Momma? The mighty Ohio must be very wide and deep now with all the runoff up stream. The best of good news for you on the ticker test. Last year the cardio man gave me an isotope test, stress test then put the works on color tv. That was funny , I had wires on me bodythat looked like spagetti . real pretty red and blue colors on the tube. It must have worked as I'am still here. Now for a BLT & mater  soop  w/ genseng tea.

'Mornin all...I am rushing out of the house this morning but I did manager to put the coffee on and to put out a big pile of raisin-bran muffins and some fruit for 'yall.  I just made it out of Minneapolis yesterday before the ice and snow hit there (again) and got back to very wet Chicago and home before dinner.  This morning is wet, foggy and about 55F with highs today about 65F.

I am leaving soon to take the 5:47 Metra express to CUS and then over to McCormick place for a really big trade show over the next three days...oh my aching feet, back and legs...good thing I have my gel insoles in my shoes, my back brace ready to go and my Tylenol all stocked up as well.

Wishing you all a very good day.

Good Friday morning, everyone!  Emma, welcome back!!  Been wondering about you, how you were doing, and how school's going.  Guessing you have about a month, month and a half left of classes for the semester?

Eolafan Jim, thanks so very much for putting the coffee on, and the muffins for breakfast this morning.  (Are you a mind reader?  Because muffins was what I was planning for breakfast today!)

Not sure what time it was, because I didn't look at the alarm clock, but we had a thunderstorm roll through very early this morning.  Supposed to be more on the way, off and on throughout the morning and afternoon.  Can't remember what they said about overnight.

Cannonball, not sure what the exact levels are on the river, but everyone involved with "Thunder Over Louisville" are busy, busy, busy preparing for the Air Show and Fireworks Show for tomorrow.  Also glad that you are still with us.  So far, I've not seen any pretty pictures like you.  I haven't seen any pictures (well, not of my heart, anyway).

Everyone have a good morning, and I'll check back with you all after a bit.

....59 degrees here and I really didn't hear anything from the big weather system passing thru during the night.  So, I believe it was kinda minor going thru here.  It sure looked to have potential as it approached {on radar}, late last night.

....So far we're seeing a very nice day here....The main line of the weather system passed during the night and it's partly sunny and a warm wind blowing. A bit over 66 now.

This evening we might see the upper "comma shaped" wrap around of that system pass by here and bring a bit more rain.  But now, it's a nice windy spring day.  Blossoms and leaves are poping out very nicely.

We've had some thunder is the last little bit, just raining right now.  Got our Friday Fish Fry on the warmer bar.  All the regular kinds of fish, along with all the regular side dishes and desserts.  Feel like going back to sleep, but guess I'll try to stay up for awhile longer.  Those of you in the line of this rain/storms, hope you can manage to stay warm and dry this afternoon.   Mudchicken, has it quit snowing out your way yet?

got caught in traffic.....work traffic!  Geez!  Doesn't anyone realize it is Friday around here?

Weather report - over an inch of nice rain - cold and snow spit.  That was all we got since Wed. nite.  All the snow blasted north and west of us.  Yea!  I do feel for those people - honest.  It is calving season and you can't have calving season w/o snow and blizzard conditions.

Just about the time I think I should leave Lincoln and high taxes, the weather does something nice like this.  Will stay a little longer.  Don't need Houston Ed's 80 and humidity, but it will be 70 first part of next week.  Cool [8D]

Going to go pick through the fish and see if any of it wiggles......

Cannonball, the City bought this property to construct a new fire station and the last I heard was the lightweight dining/lounge car was at the city's property on Sundog Road. The through truss bridge is still there as a 'landmark' and I don't think it is in danger of blowing away with the railcar removed.

If you should be coming this way, as an option to the slightly larger city to the south, perhaps we can meet and share a meal or a true story (the only type I share). Email me if that sounds good for you.

Greetings from the beautiful shore of Chesapeake Bay.  80 here today, nice and sunny.

Found that granddaughter likes music - even gently played harmonica!  Shenedoah and Red River Valley worked wonders last night, and I even managed a rendition of Brahm's Lullaby when she woke up again..  She should be about done eating, so I'll probably get holding duty while mom works on supper.  Such a terrible chore to have to perform.  Cool [8D]

Hey, Gramps:  bet you're really 'dreading" the holding duty while Mom gets supper, right? Wink [;)]  Good to hear that you've got such beautiful weather and temps in the Bay area.

The warmer bar has been replenished totally, with:

Cod, Bass, Flounder, Haddock, Halibut, Perch, corn on the cob, fries, baked beans, hushpuppies, and there's even some scallops for tonight.

Rain has moved out of the area, and now the winds are really blowing.  You'd think this is March, the way the winds are ripping around!  Too bad we don't have a kite.  Although, if we did have one, we'd probably blow away with it!!

Well, good morning everyone.  Got the warmer bar cleaned up from last night.  Everything that was on it, is now out in the trash, since apparently, no one was in last night.  All the lights were on, the train layouts were all running.

Fresh coffee is brewing, and I've made fresh oj and oj/tangerine.  On the warmer bar this morning:  turkey bacon, sausage links & patties, scrambled eggs, pancakes, waffles, maple syrup, blueberry syrup, your choice of hash browns, tater tots, or fried taters, homemade buttermilk biscuits w/sausage gravy.

The sun is shining right now; current temp is in the mid 40s, going for a high in the mid 50s, and turning cloudy as we go on through the day.  Gonna have a lot of cold people down on the Waterfront this afternoon for the aircraft show, and later on for the fireworks tonight.  Glad we just stay home and watch it on TV.

Have a good day, everyone, and be back in here tonight for the pizza fest.

Thanks CW for getting things started early...it is raining here in Aurora and I grabbed some coffee and muffins and a big banana before I dress and head back out to downtown Chicago for another day at the trade show I am attending.

Yesterday I took Metra from Aurora to CUS...my train left at 6:07 a.m. on the dot and arrived exactly on time at CUS at 7:02.  I caught the 5:47 p.m. express home last night but as we pulled up to CUS in the car to drop me off there were lots of fire trucks and ambulances in front and lots of smoke was pouring out of what seemed like an HVAC access panel on the second floor.  This did not impact my trains departure one little bit.  I sat in the last car of my train so I could stand at the rear door and watch the track disappear behind us...lots of fun but hard on the back.

Have a wonderful day, everybody.

....Good Morning to all:  44 degrees here in central Indiana and the sun trying to break thru in the east.  Not sure just what kind of day weather wise it is to be.  Colder for sure.  Lots of clouds around.  But boy those pic's I saw from up in I believe it was Wi. last evening....Wow....and in the 2nd week of April....burrr.  We want none of that stuff here if it can be helped.  Blossoms and leaves are shooting out now and the pretty time of the year is developing fast.

Thinkin' about sprinklin' outside.  Quiet in the house - everyone (even Evie) is sleeping in.  Daddy's schedule doesn't include much time for sleep, so he's enjoying this even more.

Looks like the rain will quit for a while, which is good - I have a lawn glider to reassemble - outside.

Yeah hello, bring it on.... For the record, we hams don't talk like that in any shape or form, but it is a fun way to start my missive. I just got online, because some goomer took out an electric pole or two, and knocked out about half of Florence, and as far south as my humble abode. We sat in the dark for over five hours (I know, the sun did come up, but without power, everything is dark). I don't have any details on this astounding event, but am probing all my friends until one of them fesses up. Currently, 75 degrees at 11 AM. Be safe

Joe, thanks to you and Matt for making the pizzas for tonight!  I took a longer nap than I thought I would.   You and Matt did a great job on the pizzas.  Think I'll take a couple of slices of supreme, please, along with a tall glass of Sierra Mist.
