I've been away from this thread for too long...I didn't know that CW was away! My apologies and I hope all goes well in her recovery!

Fantastic news Walt, and you are absolutely right about the buttermilk pancakes....

CW SHOULD get "sprung" from being "institutionalized" around Noon today,

I'm sorry that I did not get in here early enough this morning to serve breakfast, but I will take the responsibility of cooking dinner for tonight. I am serving spaghetti tonight, and I've got a large pot of my spaghetti sauce simmering here on the stove. If someone else will boil some pasta, and the pasta is sitting here on the counter, my spaghetti sauce will be ready to serve by 5:00 PM, Eastern Standard Time.
There will also be a gallon or two of homemade ice cream for desert.

Walt; I know the feeling you haveabout waiting for info on your lady.I have been with my lady for 54 yrs. ,when illness hits the waiting dosent'get any easier . But when the good news comes the waiting goes away in an instant. Pass on my good greetings to Paula and Ms. Sarah.

Larry, just be very careful and not knock over a bottle of bleach in your "other than white"
laundry. (uniforms didn't look good; many years ago)(Ilearned not to put stuff right on the
edge of the washer)
CW's still doing fine, no definitive words yet, looks like another day there.
Nurses did bring her a Birthday cake this morning to celebrate the day.

Hmmm. Laundry and garbology no problem - I haven't turned my whites pink yet, and I usually remember to put the trash bin at the curb on Wednesdays... I even recycle!
Dealing now with a couple of friends who just broke off a relationship. Wouldn't ya know I get a call from the female half.... Fortunately I think they are still more or less amicable, if not friends for the moment.

More like banging it down one too many times to knock the plugged up grass out of the discharge chute....
It's a simple fix - just need a fender washer, which I think I have somewhere in my collection of odd parts.
Good morning!
I've come in here with an assortment of donuts, rolls and "beagles" from the Sunshine Bakery in my neighborhood, there is plenty here to go around for everyone. I will be back within the next few hours with a pan of chocolate fudge brownies and a few dozen cookies. I'm wondering, should I bake chocolate chip, oatmeal or peanut butter cookies? A few of you could let me know what your favorites are.
I reckon no news is good news at this point, but it seems to me a shame that CW is having to spend her birthday in a hospital bed. Anyway I hope her doctors will be able to figure out what her situation is and what caused it without too much further delay. In the meantime, let's all keep praying for some good news and a positive outcome to all this.
It's shaping up to be a fairly nice day here in Sioux Falls this morning, we will see a temp of nearly 80 degrees later this afternoon. I hope the rest of you out there have a good day!
....48 degrees with bright sunshine. To be a beautiful 72 degree day.

Happy Birthday to CW - we will make it a little subdued until she returns.
Thanx Mutt - Joe will pour my coffee for me and if not, well, I will snag someone to do it. They know how I am without my coffee first thing in the morning..........sound asleep! It is awful at home, since we don't drink coffee at home (i have no clue!) - so until I can get dressed and get to a place that has reasonably decent coffee, it is touch-and-go. Driver has his hands full....
So glad to see the Chicken made it in here overnite.
Tree - you should have our landlord manicure your lawn. He could do it - he drives to Florida all by himself, so NY shouldn't be a stretch. Anyway - he brings his own scissors and ruler.
And I would have expected no less from Tree except to ace the test. He cheated - it was on a subject he likes. He should have taken a test in .....mmmm.....garbology? Laundry? Women are from Venus?
Maybe Ray will bring in some goodies......we need some goodies - it's Monday dontchaknow....
She who has no signature! cinscocom-tmw
Well, I guess I can get coffee cups down and put out the donuts and beagles before I
do go to other places this morning, wish I could stay at the house.
Mook, your cup is down, you just might have to have Joe fill it for you; I would have,
but was afraid it would get "cold" before you made it in.
What's that old adage? "No News Is Good News"?; that's still where we are.
Spectulations are rampant, but news (truth) is hard to come by.

Well, to us Loovillains the "former" "Garbage Scow" won the race, but since this is
probably the Queens last race, they Graciously(?) gave the Antlers to them!!
[remember, All's fair in Love, War & Steamboat Races!]
.....I have a prayer list Walt and I go over it as the last thing I do each day and we're including you two until I hear better news.

That makes at least 3 of us wanting to know some Good (?) answers.
Thanks for the support, I think your alls support is what's keeping me going right now.
CW is doing as well as can be expected? She's in very good spirits and says Thank You
to all that are thinking about her. Still no definite news, but pneumonia and a few other
similar assundries have been ruled out.
Mook, you apparently did not find the correct apron, the one was gotten especially for you.
Now as far as the hat falling over your eyes, maybe you should stick some asparagus
behind your ears to keep the hat from falling.
Butterscotch pudding?? Yummy, yummy, yummy!!
Anytime I make pudding, and I use the powdered stuff that you mix with milk and then bring to a rapid boil, I usually get four servings, and it does not last very long! I recently made chocolate pudding, and I was debating as to whether or not I want to make Butterscotch tonight or Banana Cream.
Mookie, thank you much for the butterscotch pudding!
WHAT, NO ASPARGUS MOOK, ha?
Butterscotch pudding is one of my (many) favorites; and the ribs and sauerkraut will go down easy. Thanks Mook.
Jack
Well, let's try this again - got the hat AND the apron - (darn hat keeps slippin' over mah eyes)
We are having ...... sauerkraut, spareribs, lumpy mashed taters, corn on the cob and - yum - butterscotch pudding for desert. (lookee there - I can spell desert!) And for those of you who don't like sauerkraut - you have.......oatmeal!
CW and Mutt, Prayers and blessings to you both. We will take care of the food won''t we Mook and all others who pop in occasionally. Its been said that I can cook, but only when no one else is available. But for our friends in Louisvllle I will be there. Love to you both.
