Dan, thanks much for making breakfast here this morning! I'm hungry! I think I'll grab a few pancakes, a few strips of bacon and a bear claw while I am here. And the coffee was brewed to perfection.......good stuff!

Eggs, bacon, sausages, ham, and steak are up and ready to go as are the juices, coffee (big mug for Mook!), toast, pancakes, donuts 'n bearclaws, and fruit.

Dig in!

Glad to see that everything's pretty much back to normal around here- I shall now return to lurking around the layouts.

Weather report- just had a "severe" thunderstorm roll through.  Possible rotation was noticed on radar northeast of us, and the local weather guessers got excited.  All is well, though.

Paula, Joanie's right knee has healed up well, and she's looking forward to getting her left knee done on June 16.

Mookie, just do me one little favor:  save some of the frosting for me, please!!!Laugh [(-D]

And yes, I'll take all the help I can get around here, guys & gals.  Don't want to wind up back in the hospital, anytime soon (unless it's for my next knee replacement!!

See you all tomorrow.  Night-night, everyone.

Ray, Thanks for the "Flattery", I cook when I can, don't really like to do so, and usually

depend of someone else,(like CW)  but I do NOT go hungry!

(now put a grill in front of me.........)

BTW, Flattery and $.50 cents might get you a cup of coffee; or what ever you like to drink.

Paula, congrats. I know how much it means to be home after a hosp stay. Enjoy yourself and indulge in your family. Now! Food's been kinda poor lately, what with my baloney sandwiches and Mookie's cookin'. Thankfully, there are others that have helped us mightily, and they are to be thanked. However, they cain't hold a candle to you. WELCOME BACK

Tom

We are all pleased you are home. Now with all of the expert cooks here bouts we can take care of the meals. You continue to take care of yourself and just come in here to banter with us as we sneak in from time to time.

HERE I AM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And it is SO GOOD TO BE HOME AGAIN!!  Thank you all for the prayers, kind words of concern, and I just want to let you all know how much I appreciate each and every one of you!  I have to go see my primary doctor on Friday, and until then, I'll be resting here at home.  You can't get much rest in the hospital, what with them coming in to take your vital signs (especially at 2 a.m., and 5 a.m.).  You just get to sleep, and here comes someone wanting to take your vitals, or draw blood, or take you to X-Ray, or whatever.

Dan, Ray and Eolafan, I'll have a tiny bit of each of your offerings for supper.  Going to be on a "Healthy Heart" diet for awhile (no sodium), so going to have to adjust to that.  I have cut way down on my salt intake, but still, some things you eat (like mashed taters), need a little bit of salt, just to flavor them.  Guess I'll be using a lot more garlic powder in my cooking, here at home, anyway.   And yes, I will try to take things a little bit slower.

Boy, is it good to be back here, and back home!!

First of all, they shouldn't do that to anybody that works as hard as you do.

Now, if you get the Big Gabage Can, are we going to see, or hear from you again?!Mischief [:-,]

Sounds good to me Jim.  I've got lunch set for today.  Who's got dinner?

I've just filled my propane tank and I'm ready to fire up the grill on this glorious 80F day here in Aurora so how about New York Strip Steak's along with baked potato, your choice of green beams or broccoli, salad with your choice of dressing and for dessert how about my bride's delicious eclair cake?  After dinner we can sit and chat over a steaming cup of java. How's all that sound?

Jim, That sounds very good, especially the part about "kicking back" after dinner.

reckon we'll see any trains?!

Oh yes, no doubt about seeing trains...I have always dreamt of winning the lottery and building a railfan viewing platform at Eola yard similar to the one at Rochelle with all the luxuries...and that includes LP powered grills and a really good scanner set up...oh, but that all hinges on my winning the really big lottery, doesn't it.  Well, I can dream, can't I?

Dan, I'll take a BIG cup of coffee if you can reach my cup.

(it's up there next to Mookies and CW's, but not quite as big.)

CW has been in the hospital since about 4:00am Sat.

The "Fiesta" sounds great, let me contemplate before I order.

(for some reason, I've not had much of an appetite the last several days!)

GREAT news about CW possibly being "sprung" later today...we all will want and need to make sure she eases back into her duties as resident chef very slowly by offering to prepare the meals (albeit not as professionally or deliciously as she does!).  How 'bout it?
