Thanks much for firing up the grill, Dan. I think I'll grab a couple hot dogs while I am here. I am providing desert tonight, I've brought in three gallons of ice cream; vanilla, chocolate and orange sherbet, and there are ice cream cones as well.

I shall be busy all day at American Legion Post 6 and so will eat hearty this AM and have snacks later.
CW, you keep taking it easy, but your written exercises here are welcome and not stressful.

Good Thursday morning, everyone. It's a 'nice' rainy morning, here in Louisville. We just had a little shower, and I think it's stopped now. For how long, who knows?
Dan, I'll take a couple of pancakes, and a couple of sausages, coffee, and a chocolate covered, cream filled doughnut for breakfast. And please, keep us updated on your sister!!
Brian, glad to hear Joanie's news!
We had a small fire yesterday here in the city: The Big Four Railroad Bridge caught fire right around noon. Believe it was an electrical fire. Several years ago, one of the local radio stations had lights put on the bridge over the Christmas holidays; people could drive by along the river, and see the lights. Didn't even know they still had the lights on the bridge. Definitely haven't seen them lit up for a few years.
Tom, I will usually peel the banana, and spread peanut butter over it. My daddy would eat peanut butter & salad dressing sandwiches. Used to have to make them, and put in his lunch box for work. But I never could get the hang of eating them myself.
Guess that's all the news I have this morning. Going to go sit in one of the booths, and enjoy my breakfast. Everyone have a great morning!!

Deshler Ohio-crossroads of the B&O Matt eats your fries.YUM! Clinton st viaduct undefeated against too tall trucks!!!(voted to be called the "Clinton St. can opener").
Walt-Rignt on base at Knox. Mom got there an hour ago! Seems she pulled over at a rest stop to take a nap on the way down, sensible thing IMO anyway. I'll keep all posted on updates.
Coffee, juice, pancakes, bearclaws, beagles, and donuts are ready. I'll put Mookie's mug over in her usual spot.
Is the coffee on? Midnight shift..ugh.
Dan, where does your sister actually live? Is it right on Ft Knox, or E-town, Radcliff, etc.?
Ray, we are going to have to get the Sodium count down around here, but don't try to
take the P.B. away from Paula. One of her favorite snacks is going into the pantry and
getting a jar of peanut butter and a spoon.
Muddy Feathers, do they actually make that kind of repellant, and where can you get it?!
Seems we could use some of that stuff around here; especially for some of the
imbeciles that work for the city, and the idiots that go to the church across the
street from us.

Used some blue gatorade today, only in the high seventies....really could use some more ACME Flying Monkey Repellant out here....
CW, peanut butter & banana has always been one of my favorite combinations for a sandwich. So many years ago when my brother and I were youngsters, we were introduced to the peanut butter & banana sandwich by our Dad's father when he lived up in Aberdeen, South Dakota. We liked it so much that we honestly thought it was Grandpa Loftesness's invention!
I still treat myself to a peanut butter & banana sandwhich now and then, and it's best on whole wheat bread. I use the Skippy brand of peanut butter with 25% less fat, with a thick layer of peanut butter on each slice.
One of the nurses in my doctor's office once told me that any peanut butter in my diet should be a NO-NO, because of the high sodium content. You would think that in this day and age, the major peanut butter producers could come out with a product that doesn't have any salt or sodium in it and yet still tastes good.
I've made banana bread before, but that was a long time ago. I should dig out a couple old recipes that I have and then go to work on two or three over-ripe bananas.
How's about some mashed potatoes and glazed baby carrots?
I just got a call from my mother. She's on her way to your neck of the woods CW: my sister just went into labor with hatchling #3-another girl! More info as it's available...
Dan, I'm hungry, and ready for a plate of beef & noodles! What do you have to go with them?
We are getting some rain now, and heard a little bit of thunder. Didn't see any lightning with it, but imagine it's out there!
Don't believe I have ever had banana cream pie. Banana pudding, and sundaes w/ bananas, and once or twice have had a slice or two of banana bread. Really love to peel and slice a banana, and put peanut butter on the slices. Goooooooodd.

I'd rather eat the robin.
Moo....
CW says she doen't need the K!
Be very careful about what you said about the Robin, PETA is looking over your shoulders!
Albino Robins are semi rare; not sure if I've ever seen one of those or not.
You really should eat the As-Per-Grass; it is supposed to be good for you.(forget borders!!)
[uh, I don't like the stuff myself, it's nasty!)
diningcar and others, one of the reasons mudchicken has survived, is the fact that Mook gets all her stuff from ACME; no wonder the Coyote never gets the Roadrunner!
An ALBINO ROBIN Mook, you must prefer white meat.
I shall eat the asparagus as I have been told it is an IQ enhancer and I can sure use that. And the photos of pie are welcome to my computer since I work so hard that the calories are quickly burned.

NO Problems!! CW got a BIG Chuckle when she saw those pics! And said she wished!
(she's not exactly fond of bananas, but the strawberrys looked fantastic!!)
spokyone wrote:Thanks Dan. How about beeftips & noodles?
You got it! Two extra large crock pots of tips and noodles each are now ready and will be up until 1 PM CST. Containers are available for those that need to grab some 'to go'.
Anyone check on the Gatorade drum lately?
Or this...banana cream pie? Sorry, I couldn't resist taking a big piece for myself before posting this picture.

My pleasure Ray, the photo below will answer your question...perhaps cruller is a New York term (where I grew up). They are sometimes covered in powdered sugar and other times with icing and are sometimes round and at other times "straight", but always made with twisted dough.

Good morning, everyone! Went to sleep last night around 9:30 or so, and slept until about 6:45 this morning. Did not wake up even once. I think I must be allergic to hospitals: started sneezing Saturday morning, after they put me in a room, and I'm still sneezing.
Dan, think I'll have: four strips of bacon, two sausages, and a couple of pancakes w/maple syrup, and some scrambled eggs, along with some coffee (decaf, I reckon). I seem to be very hungry this morning. Some of the hospital food was good, except for the scrambled eggs. They were already cold when they brought me my tray in the mornings.
Need to make a trip to the Pharmacy after awhile: they've changed all my prescriptions, and have to get everything refilled. (Wonder how much my insurance is going to object to that!!)
At least it looks like it's going to be a beautiful day! May try to take a book, and sit outside this afternoon. Walt bought several paperback books for me, for my birthday. So need to start reading!
thanks for breakfast.speaking of breakfast our envelope came from the radio station but with no certificate for doughnuts inside.maybe the mailperson was hungry??? also heard on the news a truck met a csx train in leipsic yesterday.no one was seriously hurt.
