I'll just go with a small portion of everything in the cooler end. I've been good all week, so I may as well blow it all in fine fashion!

I hope everybody fared well during the storms and that nobody is seriously affected by them today.

Looks like the coffee shop never lost power. In that case I'll have a big ol' slice of cold pumpkin pie ala mode and glass of ice cold milk.Dinner [dinner]

Good Saturday morning, everyone!  It's very cool here this morning, with temps in the upper 40s, low 50s.  Supposed to have a high of 75, 76 today.  Going to be a beautiful day!

Joe and GTW4914, thank you both, for breakfast this morning.  I'm working on a cup of coffee, and think I'll take a couple of rolls, some eggs, and I've always made pancakes for this morning, to add to the menu.

I'll be making up the pizzas around 3, so they'll be ready to go into the ovens at 6.  You all have a great day, and as Joe always says, "STAY SAFE"!!

Okay, I got through with the pizzas a little bit early, and they're ready to go into the oven.  On tonight's menu:

1.  Anchovie
2.  Canadian bacon
3.  Cheese
4.  Goetta
5.  Hawaiian
6.  Mushroom
7.  Pepperoni/sausage/mushroom
8.  Supreme

9.  Two extra large dessert pizzas:  one, cherry, and one apple.

Hope everyone has had a terrific day, and also hope you all have a great evening!

(Grabs a couple of slices of Supreme topping pizza Dinner [dinner] )

By the way, there is serious talk by meteorologists that we're going to have a La Nina weather pattern, which means more rains than normal here in California. Let's hope the flood control system here works correctly! :)

Better the Whirled Serious waited until next week. It has started to snow in Denver (and it was 80 degrees six hours ago) ...Looking at up to six inches by tomorrow night.

Hot Chocolate anyone?

Good Sunday morning, all!!  Well, MC, I saw on the national weather this morning, that you all are experiencing a 41 degree drop in temps from yesterday.

And Joe, thanks for getting breakfast!  Think I'll fix myself a plate of bacon, eggs, and pancakes.  Feeling hungry this morning.

What would you all like for Sunday Dinner today?  Just let me know, and I'll fix it!

The tourism, travel & ski resort people are going to be eating this up, especially if the national audience football game sees this tonight.

3-4 inches of the white stuff at 9AM, the dogs are out romping & rolling in it and it's still coming down heavy. The weatherman's predictions were a little on the low side? (somewhere in Omaha there's a snicker and a few guffaw's coming out of Willy's house...)

Okay, since no one gave me any suggestions for Sunday Dinner, here is what I've come up with:

Meat loaf w/mashed taters and gravy; fried chicken, fried pork chops; green beans, biscuits and white gravy; corn, mashed potatoes, and if anyone doesn't want biscuits, there are also some dinner rolls.

Desserts today:  chocolate cake, pumpkin pie, apple pie, cherry pie, and strawberry cheesecake.

Hope today's menu is to everyone's liking, and hope you all enjoy!!

Still here.

Big day tomorrow, son and DIL (and the rest of us) find out whether it's a grandson or a granddaughter....

Not much interest from me on the whirled serious - my team's not in it.  My son-in-law in certainly doing his share of praying for Boston, however.

Mid 70's here today - I managed to get the whole of the front flower bed dug up and the bulbs extracted, and just under half of it replanted (same bulbs, just re-arranged).  I may be looking for more places to plant bulbs, though - those danged things just keep multiplying!  Wish I was better at identifying them, too.  Should be an interesting flower bed next season....

Of course, all that work's gotten my appetite on overtime, so I'll be over in the corner....

.....Just a bit of local news:  Terrible accident over on I 69 this afternoon.  One of those 15 pass. vans....{always read they were unstable}, crossed the median, and the result was 5 people died.  Saw helicopters flying over yet this evening after dark.  Not sure their mission, but probably something about the tragedy.

About a year ago there were fatalities in another van accident no too distant from this one resulting in several deaths....

Q - had one of those big vans blow a tire north of Lincoln.  Church group - many seriously injured.  They are dangerous!  Plus this one had bad tires and was just an accident waiting to happen.

MC - Early Xmas?  A white Halloween?

Saw the usual trains this weekend - at least the railroad is still running nicely.  Also saw a vehicle from Idaho and New Mexico at watch site.  Wonder if they read the forum or it was by word-of-mouth or just accidental.  They got a good show at any rate.

Nap in order.  Big nap!

....Morning J:   I really wish the authorities would take a look at those vehicles for safety reasons....They are a full size van, and then to make the 15 pass. size vehicle they simply added a section back behind the rear wheels...{of course I'm talking about at the factory}.

Unfortunately, they are used by churches, Universities...etc., so young people generally are involved.  Bad situation.

I personally think they are not a stable vehicle when fully loaded with humans...!

I missed telling Tree to plant me some gladiolas over.......there, will be fine.  With our eternally good weather here in the diner, they can bloom year round.

I read a series of books that have Grandma going to viewings just to eat the cookies and peek in the "box".  When I am really old, I will go just to look at the gladiolas! (and eat the cookies!)
