Willy! I'm sorry I missed your birthday. Anyway I figure it is better to be late than never so

Happy B-Day [bday]Happy B-Day [bday]Happy B-Day [bday]Happy B-Day [bday]Happy B-Day [bday] And I hope you had a great day yesterday!

It looks like I am the first one in the Diner this morning, I've got the coffee brewing and I've mixed a fresh batch of orange juice. And I've set out Mookie's favorite coffee cup if she shows up here this morning.

For breakfast this morning we've got buttermilk pancakes, waffles, eggs done any way you like them, bacon, pork sausages, banana nut muffins and cinnamon rolls with lots of butter!Chef [C=:-)]

I have the day off today and my sister is going to help me run a few errands during the noon hour. I am going to try to get an ink cartridge for my Dell printer re-filled. It's a real pain in the butt to try to find cartridges for the printer model that I have, and I don't like having to go through Dell for them.

I hope the rest of you out there have a good day!

I am so glad I took a course on how to breathe through your ears.  I use it for when I am face down in my coffee cup.  Thanx Ray.

Cool weather makes me want to sleep longer in the morning.  Put a blanket on the bed last nite and toasted all nite.

Great fall weekend coming up - little sun, little rain, little cool, breathe a little - ah - life is good.

Happy Belated Birthday Willy!! Happy B-Day [bday]   I hadn't been in for a couple of days,

and I don't think "The Calendar" had that one listed, it will now.

Was "cool" here overnight also, very nice blanket weather. Woke up to outside temp. of

about 53 degrees.

Mook, be very, very careful about putting face in coffee cup that far, we don't want

you to get stuck and have to have Tree come for a rescue. (besides, the coffee is

supposed to warm the "insides", not the fur!Wink [;)])

As Mutt said, we woke up this morning, to outside temps in the low 50s.  It was very nice sleeping weather, indeed!!

Ray, thanks for breakfast this morning!  You all are doing such a great job, maybe I don't need to come back to cook. Evil [}:)]Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]  But I should be back in full force in about three and a half weeks.

In about two hours, I'll have the FRIDAY FISH FRY under way for lunch today.  Everyone take care, and I'll see you later.

I know that it had been pretty hot all summer long in Louisville, so I'll bet that you, Walt and Sarah are really enjoying the cooler weather, Paula. While I don't know what the current temperature here in Sioux Falls is, at 5:30 this morning when I got out of bed we had a temp of 42 degrees. And yes! It does make for good sleeping!Smile [:)]

.....J, great Fall weekend scheduled here too....Warmer temps and lots of sunshine.  Have had 2 days now of cloudy to partly cloudy stuff here and much cooler than it has been.  High 50's to around 60 for highs.

Getting up temp here this morning was 51 plus.

Sun is about to break thru right now.

Speaking of cooler temps....

There was a forecast last night for frost and flurries in the north part of WI.  That kind of talk makes my trigger finger get itchy...

Nothing stayed on the ground Mook and it'll be in the upper 50s this weekend so you need not fear anything frosty and white (unless it's a really big donut rolling downhill at you!).

Got fish on the grill, along with lots of fries, hushpuppies, coleslaw, shrimp, and any kind of fish any way you like it.

Since people were hungry I thought I would start on the Friday Night Fish Fry

Dessert will be pies, chocolate cake, (for the birthday weatherman) and turnovers

 Eat hearty!

Good morning ladiies and gents, and whatever. I haven't checked into this thread before, but try to keep up with the goings on. Currently 62 in SC, up from 48 last night, which is quite nice. We were the USA hotspot for about a week in August, so it is doubly nice. Nothing to speak of on the HAM wireless this morning, so I busied meself making a top notch breakfast. I made the most awesome omlet this A M and sitting here thinking about it, I think I shall do it again tomorrow. Tonight is BBQ night, so lots to look forward to. Peanut butter until then.

....Peanut butter is great food....Had some around midnight while watching TV.  Peanut butter and crackers.  Ummm good.

Have listened to HAM radio for years but personally am not a HAM.  Muncie here, has a local repeater for 2 meter op.  Have friends that are HAMS.

Low temp here this morning was 42...Our lowest since last Spring.  To get to 66 today and lots of sunshine and warmer this coming week.

Thanks Modelcar. I've been a ham for 43 years now, and it's an integral part of my life. Love that peanut butter too and have a couple of fresh jars to open yet. That stuff doesn't last long around here. It may be Chinese tonight instead of the BBQ. Want me to get you a take out?

Good Afternoon!

Tried to do some train watching this afternoon at the Amtrak station. However, unfortunately, some not so pleasant/rather suspicious people have been hanging out around the Amtrak station lately and I ended up leaving fairly quickly after arriving. Today's crowd included a drunk guy and a group of criminal looking teenage boys probably a year or two older than me. I just didn't feel it was safe to stay around. Fortunately, I have a few backup train watching spots that I can go to in the future.

No news other than that, today. Hope everyone enjoys the remainder of the weekend.

It's been raining here in Sioux Falls and we have a temperature of 51 degrees. The Yawn Patrol is out, and I kind of wish I could go back to bed and sleep for a while longer, but I have to work this morning, at least I'll be earning a pay check.

The coffee is about finished brewing and I've mixed a fresh batch of orange juice. I brought in a generous assortment of rolls and donuts from the Sunshine Bakery. If anyone else wants something more elaborate for breakfast this morning, I will let them volunteer to do the cooking.

Have a great day folks!

Good Sunday afternoon.  Couldn't say morning, because the powers that be,wouldn't let me log in.

Joe, hope you and Momma are feeling better this afternoon!!

Since we couldn't  have our PIZZA FEST last night, I've taken the  liberty of fixing pizzas for this afternoon/evening.  All the regular pizzas are on  the warmer bar (one extra large of each kind), and two more extra large are waiting in the fridge.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!!!

Good Morning - did a little train watching this weekend.  Nothing too spectacular.  Went out in the rural areas to check out a few tracks and as most of you know - The Driver doesn't like it when I want to drive (even for practice).

We saw a rural mailman driving from the middle of the front seat so he could reach the boxes on the right.  The Driver made the mistake of saying they should order their cars with right-side drive....................You can see this coming can't you................I will be ordering a right-side drive vehicle very soon.   Evil [}:)]

Notice to be posted on bulletin board in diner:  "The City of Lincoln will have their population reduced by about 84,000 due to losing the one tourist attraction the city can lay claim to - Husker Football.  The stadium will be replanted into a still viable product - corn."

Coffee, please!
