Early 1990's BN roster with a few others.
1 GP38-2 BN
1 GP15-1 BN
1 Switcher, I think SW1500 that never really existed BN (Rd #372. No locomotive in the BN fleet was numbered 372.)
1 GP40-2 BN
1 GP50 partially BN (not finished painting)
1 F7A BN
1 F7B BN
1 AMD 103 Amtrak
1 F7A Amtrak
2 Central of Georgia locos of unknown models, one by Life Like and I think the other is by Atlas. I am hoping to get some SD40-2's soon, hopefully Kato.

I have about 32 in all and almost all of mine are Chicago Rock Island & Pacific locomotives. I also
have a few Conrail, Chessie System, Burlington Northern, Rio Grande and some Amtrak locos just
to mix things up a little when i decide to take a break from The Rock.

The Route of The Rockets still lives on ...... well in my basement at least.

I"d like to know myself, Honestly, I would have to dig all of them out of various storage places, and take a head count, but somewhere in the neighborhood of 150 units, I think.

My division of the Northern Pacific owns all the locomotives it has! We are indepted to NO banker! Although it is difficult to keep up with motive power demands, at times, the division superviser has been directed by Mr. Hill not to borrow a single "buck" to purchase motive power! We attempt to keep older units in tip-top condition and usable when traffic demands warrent placing this equipment in service!

Does this mean we are keeping up with the times and technology of this wonderous year of 1953? Mr. Hill states; "He don't give a rip"! He wants all the profit so he can keep that other line "The Goat", up north o'here functioning (even though it bleeds money like a "stuck pig [er, goat])!

Who can argue with Mr. Hill's success? Even though his refusal to install stokers has literally worked a few firemen to death, he says they're cheap labor and it's easy to get some dumb brakemen to jump at the chance to ride the cab where it's warm, in the -40 below winters in western Montana!

Not bad considering the layout (modules) are only 24 ft long!

Since my last post, I've rethought the entire thing.
Over the next few weeks, I will be reducing the fleet down to 26 fully detailed and DCC equipped engines. That number might shrink a little more even. I've decided to narrow down the field to a more managable level, evicting the "roundhouse queens" and stuff that doesnt fit my new operating scheme.
Once that is complete I have to go through about 15 cases of rolling stock with the same criteria. Ebay here I come!!!!
