I model in N scale and would like to have authentic ATSF cars, both heavyweight and streamlined corrugated, rather than repaints of other roads.

Now that Walthers has the C&NW bi level commuter cars I am more happy than I was two years ago .... but there are other versions of these bi levels that I would like to see. There are Three Brothers kits but they are not easy to build up into something good looking. There are also some laser kits - ditto. I am thinking of the various Flambeau 400 cars and the odd conversions that the CNW did to make single level combines and such match the bi levels.

As an old PRR fan the P54 was available for years from "Alco" which I think is now kaput -- Eastern Car Works?

And as a Milwaukee native the CMStP&P's Skytop Lounge would be very welcome

I was not aware that "Alco" or Eastern Car Works ever made anything at all in N scale.

This is the problem with all scales in one forum, the HO'ers assume everyone models exclusively in HO, while my requests all were prefaced with N Scale.[B)][B)][:p]

First off, kudos for Walthers and Athearn for tremedously narrowing the gap in what's available in HO, especially in commuter equipment. After Life-Like brought out all that beautiful Proto 2000 passenger power, they correctly sensed a demand for cars of equal quality to pull behind them.

Now my wish list:

Passenger cars: Walthers, keep going! Don't stop 'till your P-S line equals the Budd offerings. Two plans I would like to see:
-- The 11BDR sleeper and
-- A P-S coach with the individual windows for "Sleepy Hollow" seating, as seen on AT&SF and Rock Island, among others.

Also, could it be possible to make P-S fluting as an add-on to the undec P-S cars? That way they could be built smooth-side, fluted side, or "topless"(C&O, NKP) or "bottomless"(RI,MP). A set of fixed steps to replace the folding trap steps would also be a nice add-on for those of us modeling A.S.R. (After Skirts Removed)

A moderized heavyweight coach (modified roofline, sealed windows, roller-bearing six-wheel trucks...the IC, GM&O and B&O/C&O had some particularly handsome prototypes)

In passenger power, I'll second the vote for a Proto-2000-quality F40PH and how 'bout reissuing the Proto 2000 E8/E9 with new roof hatches detailed for a HEP powerpack in place of the steam boiler? Right off the top of my head, you could legitimately offer it in Amtrak, Metra, C&NW, BN, BN Executive, MARC, IC and (possibly?) NJ Transit.

Again, my thanks to the manufacturers for the progress we've seen so far!

I'd like to add a streamlined coach or two to my train with six HO Scale Athearn Amtrak streamlined passenger cars. I would also like to get four "roadrailers" painted for the US Postal Service, but that's another issue.

In N Scale (HO too for those who do that sort of thing) MIlwaukee Road pasenger equipment built at the West Milwaukee Shops. Including the PS SuperDomes and the Skytop lounges. If these were available (especially the skytops) I'd stop running freights.

I wouldn't mind seeing the American Flyer coaches (Osgood-Bradley) in both HO & N. Also some new paint schemes for what's already out there would be nice (personal preference would be pre McGinness schemes for the B&M and New Haven to match the Life Like and other manufacturers diesels that are now out there).

I would like to see Walthers bring back the passenger kits, made in plastic instead of tin plate, castings & wood. I have a port hole combine and coach for my Penn R.R. The advantage of their old kits is you could get window patterns to match the prototype you were modeling.

I'd like to see some Canadian Pacific lightweight cars, the 2200 series.
I'd really like to see them in OO scale, but I'd settle for HO.
