(This is off topic, but) OO is 4mm to the foot vs HO at 3.5mm, so it's 1/7 larger. Lionel made some before WW2. It's now used in Britain, usually running on HO track but often on scale track at 18.83mm.

Walthers has just announced a PSCM 52 seat coach along with a PSCM 10-5 sleeper. The sleeper is due in August and the coach is due in Oct. Any idea as to the prototype. I know that NYC had some Pullman coaches that were both 56 and 64 seat and Frisco/Katy had 64 seat coaches. GN and NP had 56 and 64 seat coaches. Eastern Car works produced an American Flyer coach, they also produced an Baggage Lounge similar to ones used by the New Haven. Cars with a better simulated stainless steel finish would be nice. I currently have to buy brass cars, not cheap. [:D]

All except for the observation dome cars. For thoseyou will just have to settle for the Con-Cor models for now.

Walthers, getting the pcture?

Rivarossi is offering an 44 seat coach which is a UP 5400/5450 series car. To bad the dome lounge observation must be bought with the set. [:D]

I would like to see:

Kansas City Southern Tavern-Lounge-Obeservation "Hospitality"

A Frisco Heavyweight diner.

Any of the Hallmark Katy heavyweight cars made in plastic, and made in HO and N scale.

What would be neat would be if Walthers went back and took those really nice heavy weight kits they used to produce and made them in plastic ready to run.

The baggage and coach were "close enough" to allot of prototypes. I know no one would want to sit and build a car kit anymore, but those old kits were really wonderful.

I would like to see, in H-O gauge, cars for erie trains, reading, jersey central, and nj transit. also I would like to see trolley cars for the northeast. I know some of these may have been done but I would like to see cars where we have to "build" them and add details. The prices for some cars are too steep for me. The manufacturers are doing some of these things I am sure but the cost of making a lot of dies and hoping they will sell hurts. Bernt T.

O scale could really use a heavyweight 12 section/1 drawing room Pullman, correctly scaled. This car could be used on almost any railroad of the era, and could provide the basis for variations like those which people in other scales have kit-bashed for years.

What I want is good quality, 72', Harriman Baggage and RPO cars. Railroads like IC, SP and UP used them and they ran on mail trains up to 1967.

The HO heavyweight Pullman sleepers promised but not delivered by Branchline (10-1-2, 8-1-2, etc.).

An HO El Capitan Hi-Level Lounge car to go with the rest of the set.
