Evening Diners,
I remember that comic strip zstripe. It's still funny.
Since winter started a few days after Thanksgiving and now into the mid-month of December. I still haven't lost any weight with three walks and two play times running outside. I'm getting worried because I don't want to be over 200 pounds again.

Der5997,
Now this is where You would use the brackets, like You did when You first tried to insert a PIC'. In order to make a prior cs.trains thread clickable...You must use the brackets.
der5997 Now, why won't that show as an image? I did the [ ] and [/ ] "img" code thing....
Any other site that You would want to make clickable, You should only need to copy c and paste ctrl v, press enter.

Hi Der,
The one that I remember from the North West was Sue and her husband Larry who was a trucker. I can't say for sure if they were in "S" . I haven't heard from them in quite awhile and have asked several times on here about them but never received an answer.

Hi Mark,
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Stay strong, do the things that are suggested to you, Dr.s orders, nurses caring words. We sometimes don't come out of it the same as started but we do survive that darn old cancer.
So sorry to hear it has come back to bite you again, but with the practise you have had, this should be a piece of cake for you. (just kidding, I know it is a struggle no matter when or where).
Stay positive, when I had it I totally thought of myself (NOT OF BEING SICK) only that I had a problem I had to overcome. I think this helped me with my struggle. So far it is in remission, but has left me not being able to swallow any food or drink. Do I miss that ? Yes I sure do, but on the other hand I am healthy, I have gained my weight back to where it should be and non of my allergies bother me any more since the treatments. I am blessed. You will be to. Just put your faith in he who loves you and died for you.
Merry Christmas.

I've a pile of track from the old Maritime Trunk awaiting rehabilitation - and the Gleam Method will be the final stage of rehab. Thanks Jeff.

Actually, Ken, I'd rather go where everybody knows my name. Last night, that was the bar/cafe with the music, only....there was no music. They had cancelled out, possibly because of the rainy weather. Bummer.
Uncle Bob, take care of those health things. I've got high blood pressure and high cholesterol, too, and last year I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. Overweight, too. Y'know what? I started eating better, drinking less beer and getting plenty of excercise. I lost weight, I feel much better now and all my "numbers" are under control. At my last visit, the doc was thrilled with my blood sugar.

Good Evening,
Seems as though this is doctor week in here. I go for my annual exam tomorrow which will mean EKG and blood work so I am fasting as of now. I had an EKG last week when I had my little ER episode but I expect the results haven't been shared. When I got home from there I must have had a dozen or more little glue on pads to remove. Some of them really stuck--ouch.
I finally finished my N scale building but decided I didn't want it to be Sicken Tire so it is now Marjens Furniture. I put together a Zenith radio and TV sign which sits on top of another factory so I have Davis Furniture, Marjens Furniture and Zenith radio factories on the layout.
John, I don't have any method to send you a track plan but will send you a PM with more info. I might be able to send a photo but it would have to be via regular e-mail as I don't have a Photobucket account nor do I want to set one up.
Well time to get some sleep, so goodnight all.

Good Evening Diners,
Brunhilda, I'll have a cup of Earl Grey tea with cream and honey, please.
Continuing to have above average temps here, and I'm not complaining a bit. We'll get to winter soon enough, I'm enjoying the warmth while its here.
Ken: yes, you and Janis Joplin. i like the song reference. Seriously, I hope things can level off for you and get better.
i got my Great Model Railroads 2016 in the mail today. Some nice work in those pages. This issue featured a couple of S scale layouts. I know I'd get plenty of debate on it, but I still think it's the ideal scale for everything except curve radius.
I mean really, a scale ratio of 1/87.1 - 3.5mm =1 '0". Now, I confess I've been in HO for eons, and will continue to be, but how did they come up with that specific unit of measurement?
Just a rhetorical question.
Cant wait for the new MRP to come out.
Hello to everyone.
I hope everyone is OK, safe, and warm.

Hang in there.
I'd really been thinking of buying one of the new BLI L1's, but if their QC is so bad that they're letting engines leave the factory with weak sound and missing screws, as the thread on the general forum suggests, maybe that's not a great idea. Guess I could get another I1, or buy something else entirely. We'll see.
I get to see the nurse practitioner on Thursday. This should be fun -- I was told my blood pressure is high at 120/80 3 months ago. I already have the answers: Yes, I know I outweigh a Pennsy Q2. No, I'm not getting much exercise -- I'm lazy. Yes, I know you think I'm a raging diabetic, even though my blood tests don't show this. No, I haven't seen the dietician, largely because it was see her or get my root canal finished. But, I have to go back every 3-4 months to get refills on my prescriptions, apparently a result of some medical legislation or other, so it's gotta be done. At least I'll get out of work early, so maybe I'll get to shoot something on NS afterwards. There was a UP Gevo parked in Sayre yesterday when I passed the yard, so I of course shot it. (Don't get jealous, Ray!)

der5997 Todd, thanks for the Welcome Back...but please don't get me started on Windows 10...Somehow or other I've ended up with a version which denies me access, even as administrator, to my files - and a second download which gives me access to my files which were backed up on a Seagate drive. All this included an over 3 hour phone session with Windows 10 Help. Worst part is I can't get at my trappped 50th Wedding Anniversary photos on the original version for fear of not being able to get back to this second, working access version...

Something you did changed the security descriptors. Changing the computer name and/or domain will do this. If you upgraded from XP, it is an entire new clean install and would naturally have problems with thesecurity decriptors. You need to go to the root folder probably C:\Users\Yourname and right clicking on the folder open "properties" and then Security, and then maybe advanced, what you want to do is ding into that area and find the tab or whatever that will let you "Take Owership" of the folder, sub-folders and files. Once you have done that you can then give yourself access to these resources.

Happy Monday!
My first order of business was a visit to the vampire to have some blood drawn for my doctor visit on Thursday. Painless, other than enduring the television in the waiting room. I think they ran about 10 minutes of commercials and cop show ads. When the program finally came on, it was one of those "ladies' shows" full of B-list celebrities. I left and sat in the hall until my name was called. Well, at least this time I didn't have blood dripping down my arm on the way home.
Watching football again got me back to modeling. Not much, but I needed to cut some cardstock to shape to line the interior walls of buildings to prevent the interior lighting from glowing through.
I'll be at my favorite cafe/bar tonight listening to old time rock 'n' roll. I've seen this group (2 guys) often enough that we're on a first name basis and we chat between sets.
CN Charlie that's just the quality of info I was after. In the mean time SWMBO says that looking ahead, we should plan a layout which is easy to either move or dismantle. (The Maritime Trunk took several months to deconstruct - and rehabilitae the train room to a bedroom- before we sold the house; and she doesn't want a repeat.) So, I'm probably looking at a door or two instead of the dogbone. Could you PM me a track plan? Please and Thank you.
Hey Bill: Your Tardis signoff reminded me of the closing scenes of the "Muppet Christmas Carol" which was on our TV last night. The Christmas Day Feast at the Cratchets has an amazing expanding dining table and kitchen worthy of the "larger inside than out" Tardis. LOL
Johnboy and Garry, the Tiger mascot's name is RITchie...
Oh, no 'Tiger' in the PiP tank, but lots of electrons in the Battery.... At RIT I noticed they have now installed charging stations in the parking lot by the Field House where the show is held. Saturday Morning I noticed there were a couple cars there and one of them was a VOLT. On Sunday I drove in and parked thinking I might come out early afternoon and top off the battery and I noticed the same VOLT was plugging in. Turns out I know the owner of it. He is an officer in one of the clubs that was at the show. We had a great talk about our cars. His VOLT is 4 years old and is #235 I think he said. He loves it! Turns out, although the charge is free at this point at RIT, the chargers are put in by ChargePoint and you either have to have a ChargePoint Card or call a # on the charger and have them turn it on.... The ones over the other side are just open chargers. I decided not to go through the calling stuff (being deaf makes talking with people I don't know on a cell phone darn near impossible) and just drove home on Petrol and the few miles I had left of EV...

Tomorrow is the anniversary of Jeff's passing. ... I'm still sad about it.
We should have an appropriate memorial for him tomorrow.
I hope Jeff's family memebrs are okay.
Guess it is a little late for lunch, but, Chloe, be so kind as to find for me a double Denver with home fries and a double RBF. Please and thanks.
Angelo, sure hope it gets better for you real quick.
Br. Elias, get your head out of there.
Garry, I am waiting to see a beautiful finished cattle trailer, hows that coming?
Ray, What a great picture. It is funny the frist thing that went through my mind too was the connection Garry made to Tony the Tiger. Or do you have a tiger in your tank of the PIP.
Galaxy, Glad to hear the move has gone fairly smooth to this point and that you are enjoying "Dolling up the place " to suit you folks. Don't get in to deep, some things can wait, it doesn't all have to be all right and pretty the first couple of months.
I'm on my way down to the train room after about a week of being to busy to get there to do some sanding (Smoothing) of the pavement laid under the elevated station. will have to carve out the flangeways as the size of it was to large and it set up on me. So that will take more work. Then cut some styrene to fill in around some frogs located there as well.
Would like to have the station back in place before Christmas for the few visitors we get.
Hope the weather is kind to you all as we approach the Christmas travelling season. Drive defensivly as that other Guy might be on a different trip (HIGH) and unfortunatly they are everywhere.
Sure hope our German Buddy is alright. Please check in Ulrich !!!!
