Was a volunteer with the NHRS in PA and the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Nevada.

Worked as a locomotive electrician and hostler with Conrail at Enola 1988-1994.

Track laborer with Union Pacific 1997-1998. Replaced ties and built switches.
