Evenin' folks,

Janie, just a decaf, please.

Jeffrey, keeping you in my prayers that the antibiotics do the job well!  I wonder if you injured the toe when you fell the other day?  Hope the Doc got you on the meds in time!

I actually did get down to the train room tonight for a bit.  All of a half hour, I think.  Did get a bit more done on the bridge.  Assembled about 1/3rd. of the spacers (4 x 4s) onto some ties.  Then glued a few of the ties together to start the top of the bridge.  Hoping the Bridge shoes will arrive tomorrow.  Then I can see how they will fit and start putting rivets in place on the bridge.  Once the bridge Shoes are glued in place I can also do the final fitting of the stone retaining walls for the bridge.  I have been building them as I have time as well.  Couple photos of what it looks like tonight...

Have a great night!  My prayers to all in need...

Good Morning!

Going to be a hot day again. The predicted thunderboomers passed us by, but I have a feeling they´ll be coming back later this afternoon. Sleeping has become an issue, as it is too hot and sticky inside for me to get a good rest. Leaving the windows open is a no no, as it is way too noisy outside - 40 - 50 trains passing by at night do create an infernal concerto.

I am not sure whether I´ll be getting around to making the windows. Those parts are just a tad too tiny for my big fingers and failing eyesight. I am just wondering, how Ray can do this fantastic stuff in HO scale, while I am struggling along in O scale!

I corrected the chimney this morning. It was an easy job, just gently pushing the chimney into a more upright position. The glue I use provides a strong, but to a degree flexible bond, so minor corrections are done fast.

I like those photobucket effects! The pictures reming me of old, long lost Kodachromes of the 1960´s.

Healing Angel for Galaxy, Garry´s SIL, Flip, Johnboy!

Have a great day!

So you got some relief and then did the same thing I do and overdid it. You gotta get some rest for a while before you try to spin the world on your fingertip.

I don't consider 1 load of laundry and about 10 dishes "overdoing it". I call that barely struggling to do the household chores.

I will try to rest more next time.

I didn't even cook dinner, I use a miraclewave "heat-n-eat" for me, and MOH ate out wtih a client for dinner {reimbursed} so no cooking. Normally, MOH would have wanted dinner, to, and NO, MOH can't really "cook'. if it entails boiling water {like for hard boiled egggs} we MIGHT stand a chance.

Not accusing you of anything, but as single you can let some stuff go, I have a Spouse to account to, who understands the back problems but doesn't want to live in a Mess-hole. SO some things must be done. Speaking of which, though MOH will be gone all day today with a client, I have to get after MOH to mow the lawn! Looks like we live in a rats nest out there now! Turn about is fair play!

well, I am off, by one bubble to the left of center

I sant in my pledge, others have too,

Anybody else wanna help as we are short of our goal? {we'd also like some room to spare}

Just PM me if you wnat to  help the "help Jeffrey fund"

IF jeffrey doens't come up with his portion of the funds, he will miss the motor completely! That would be a real bummer!

Hi Guys

Had a fun day at the track and go back again today ( although it looks like it may rain ) and again tomorrow. One of the teams gave me dome damaged parts which will look cool for my racing collection. F1 is also on this week but I am taping it and will watch it late sunday night or Monday morning. I leave again in about a hour or so. For some strange reason yesterday afternoon I got a horrible headace that lasted well into the night. It seems to be gone now so maybe all I needed was a good nights sleep, might take a advile after just to be sure and take one with me. Talk to you guys tonight or tomorrow and will try to get some pictures up.

Good morning. It's 68° with 97% humidity. The high will be 85°, cloudy with a fair chance of rain.
 with

Only one plan for today. Stay off my feet (or foot)as much as possible while watching as many movies and TV programs as possible. I haven't eaten much in the past few weeks so I'll have to see about forcing something down. The most I've had is some watermelon and a bologna and cheese sandwich once in a while. I just haven't had much of an appetite. Checked my weight yesterday on my step mothers scale. It reads a little high but still registered two hundred twenty three (223) pounds. Only three pounds up from the docs scale. I've gone from two hundred forty five to two hundred twenty in less than two months. my doc says there doesn't appear to be a problem. I've had several weighty issues on my mind of late. One is juggling finances to cover the damage caused by a certain collectible coin company. I don't want to refinance my loan  in town unless I have to. Another is getting my van up to par for driving more than a couple of miles without getting stranded. That's been paramount on my mind.

Jeremy, that;s pretty cool you got some race stuff.  I'd personally love to have a piece of a NASCAR driver's car-Jeff Gordon.  It would look cool with my 1962 Daytona 500 ticket, and piece of Daytona International speedway pavement.

Great concert last night from Joe Grushecky, he had a special guest-Eddie Manion from the E Street Band.  I also finally got a copy of one CD signed by Grushecky, he's really a nice guy.

I also ordered my Wheeling hoppers yesterday, and they shipped the same day as well.  120 dollars for 6 hopper cars, unbelievable.  Oh well, at least my Wheeling loco has a train now, even if it is missng the EOTD.  Have a great day all

Mornin' everyone!

Zoe, I'll have a short stack of Blueberry pancakes with Real NYS Maple Syrup and a cup of Dark Roast coffee for my FLGK mug this morning...

It's a hazy morning here in the Finger Lakes.  Current Temperature is 68°F with a high of 79°F later this afternoon.  They say we will not get any liquid sunshine today though.  Yesterday the forecast was calling for some showers mid afternoon.

Big item for today is to find some help switching out the speaker at camp.  I have to go to the Council Office for a meeting with a Field Director about a "nastygram" he sent one of my units last Spring.  The Treasurer of the unit may be attending as well as the other commissioner.  What he has to say will let me decide whether I give any $$$ to the Council next year or not.  I plan to let him know that what I was going to give as extra $$ to my agreed donation for this year went to purchase the new speakers for camp and won't help his salary one ¢....  Anyway, after the meeting, as long as I am already in Rochester, I will drop the speaker to be repaired off at the Sound Company.  Saves me a seperate trip to the city.

Ulrich, I have so far been blessed with very steady hands.  May be from my years as a musician, playing keyboards and guitar.  Who knows? I do rely on my Optivisor.....  A lot!  Thanks!  BTW, your work is just as good as mine!  That is a truly inspiring scene that you can take some pride in.

Jeffrey, Hope the funds keep coming in for the needed gas guzzling thingie for the tank...  How much are you lacking at the moment?  Might help the donations come along for it.

Have a great day out there!

A minimum of $100 could do it. A little more to cover the taxes would help too.

Howmus, You play guitar? So  do I.  I also write my own originals, which is a huge plus anymore, since a lot of places are only taking original artists.

Howmus, You play guitar? So do I.

Hi Jimmy!

I played and taught Classical and Folk guitar for about 35 years.  I also play Electric Bass, Keyboards (not great even after 15 years of study...), Clarinet, Saxaphone, Trombone, plus most every other orchestral instrument on a basic need to know level, and professionally was a Vocalist (think mostly operatic stuff).  Yep, I was a Professional Musician for 48 years of my life, graduated from Eastman School of Music in 1968 and spent the next 32 years teaching General/Vocal Music k-12.  I have to get out my Cordoba Classical Guitar and get back to work on it.  My hearing loss put a damper on what was supposed to be a "Retirement" of professional Singing in the area...  Oh well...Sigh  I am a Basso Buffo (lyric Bass, Bass Baritone), but at the end of my career I could muster a good Contra "C" especially first thing in the morning. About ready to head out to camp for the afternoon.  See you all tonight, "God willing and the creek don't rise"!

Evenin' folks!

Jeffrey!  Good you are hetting right to the ER with that.  Do hope you will not lose anything more, not even that toe! Man!  If it weren't for bad luck, you'd have no luck at all.  (Hmmm, sounds like a line from an old song, it does.)  Gottcha in my prayers, my friend!

Went out to camp this afternoon and a few of us got the speaker changed.  Big difference in the sound on that side of the building.  The bad one is in a box in my car waiting for Monday when I will drop it off at the sound place.  Hopefully in a week or so it will be repared and I can get some help installing the"new" speakers on the dining hall to give better coverage to the Parade Field.

It has been sprinkly here in the Finger Lakes for the last couple hours...  Dark and dull outside with the temperature hanging around 70°F.  Tomorrow is threatening to have some isolated thunderboomers.  Tomorrow is also Baseball day at the Museums.  Spikes, the Rochester Red Wings Mascot will be visiting to greet both the Baseball Fans and the Train Buffs!

I'm going to see if I can get a bit more done on the brdge...  The Bridge Shoes did not arrive today either...Sigh

Hello all

Jeff-best wishes...I hope all goes well!

YOW!!  Power surge!

Just looked outside to the west...there's major Tstorms rolling in. The Sierra ridge isn't visible as usual. I was planning on going to Carson City...don't think so.

It's 100 right now. 100 degrees is 100 degrees even with 15% humidity and it'll get worse if it actually rains. Car overheats with the AC running.

Let's see how many wildfires this storm front triggers.

Oops! Another power surge! Got to get off computer. I'll check in later.

Take care

OK, back ground for the newer folks. I have been fighting with BoS around 4 years to get my home loan modafied, I was at 7% intrest! Have lived in the house for 21 years now. I have have been told so many unture things it would make your head swim! At One Point When I was Caught Up I Was Told They Would Not Change The VA Loan Because The VA Would Pay Them To Change The Loan Only If I Was Behind! Bang Head I had a VA Rep on the phone with me at the time! Whistling

In Dec 2013 I finaly got a Lawyer, it took her 7 months to get the loan Modafied! I signed te paper work on June 24th and had to resign on July 7th. Made my first new house payment on July 1st for $843.00. My Lawyer and I both thought the payment should be lower but what are you going to do?

Guess what I got today?Sigh Letter from Bank Of Stupid saying my escrow amount has changed and went down? But the total Payment went to $950.00 a month? Ink is not even dry on the new house loan and it is back as high as it was when I stood not chances at all of making the payment! Angry

Evenin' folks!

Janie, just my usual decaf for the moment...

Ken...., On Monday, call your lawyer!!!  I presume you have the copies of the paperwork you signed.  I presume somewhere in that paperwork it stated what your monthly payment would be.  Call your lawyer!!!!!  I would hope you have saved every piece of paper you have gotten from them during the entire time you have been trying to get the loan modified.  Call your lawyer!  Did you write down every conversation you had with them over the phone?  CALL YOUR LAWYER!  But....  Lay off the beer!  That won't help you!

Do hope Jeffrey is OK.  Hope David lets us know what is going on with him if Jeffrey is kept in the hospital.

Managed to spent about an hour and a half working on the HO railroad tonight.  Got the spacers and the Bridge Ties assembled:

Even did a quick check to see how it will fit in place on the layout.  The stone work is nowhere near finished yet. Can't complete those until the Bridge Shoes arrive......

Have a great night everyone.  I'll be including a bunch of you in my prayers tonight.  Seems like a lot of stuff going on with you folks again!

Good Morning!!!

Coffee and the Sunday breakfast buffet please. Thanks

Glad to see Jeff’s as ok as can be concerning the tumble. I hope the toe gets healed as well.Angel

Galaxy- Hang in there. I hope PT helps, for me it did not, but for what I have it wouldn’t anyway. I did however, assist them in paying their bills for a few months. I hope you get something beneficial out of it.  Angel

Garry- Good news about your SIL as well.

Ulrich- The wharf is looking veeeeery very good!Bow You are really giving me the itch to get back to my RR.

Been busy. Got the chainsaw back together, just have to see if it runs. And the floor is out of the shed and awaiting me to put the new one down. Of course a friend of mine is now ripping the siding off his house for new siding ( I won’t be involved in that ) and a guy wants a couple light fixtures replaced in his garage this week and the circuit box replaced, plus any rewiring the thing may need.

Good Evening Folks!

I am sad to hear that Jeff is having more health issues - I wish we´d hear from him (or David)! Wherever you are right now, Jeff, our thoughts and prayers are with you!

We are having a tropical heatwave! Daytime high reached 36°C, that´s 97F, bringing the room temperature in our float up to 81F - too hot for me to feel comfortable. My heart is giving me issues in that type of weather. I don´t mind heat, but the humidity stays around 90%, as we are expecting a quite noisy night tonight.

I tried to get my mind off the weather and did some modelling today - only little things, just a couple of windows and a sign.

Todd - this picture is for you, to wet your appetite!

Have a good one!

I will call my lawyer Monday and see what her take is on the paper work about the payment is. Not sure if she will even talk with me. She does free Legal Help to get the loan Modafied, that is it! So there is a good chances she will not talk, we will see.

As I stated I been depressed all day and was trying to talk my self out of working out. I made my self do the work out and glad I did! Yes I was in a  better frame of mind when I was done.

Hope to hear something about Jeffery soon!
