JeremyB,
I would not fool around with that, I would go to the DR. Immediately. I had a close friend experience some thing similar, Head hurting was caused by the pressure in His eye that was hemorrhaging. He also had blurry vision in one eye, with little red dots around His retina. The specialist who had to operate right then and there, said if He would have waited any longer he would have lost His vision. Hope that's not the case with You. I have Glucoma, so when it comes to the eyes, that is nothing to fool around with.
Good Luck!
Frank
Morning all. First off-to Jeremy and Jeff, I hope you guys recover from your medical issues quickly and successfully. I get vertigo from time to time, so I know a little bit of that feeling Jeff. It runs in my family tree (full of nuts, it is), so yeah what can ya do?
Second, Not too much going on here today. I have the day off, so I may spend it drawing up a drawing for my next custom car-the Wheeling and Lake Erie Business car 1990. It looks like a simple project, minus the logo on the panel that sticks out towards the door end-but not the window end. I've got a "donor car" on my wishlist and will order it at some point before November (I want to show it off at the local NMRA division meeting). I am also waiting for my Wheeling hopper cars to come in.
Third, work's been interesting-I just love when people buy 5 dollars of stuff, and pay with a 100 dollar bill. Otherwise, it's been okay really. I may be contemplating about looking at going to a tech school for electrical training-seems like a solid in demand job, plus it would benefit me building a layout.
Finally, enjoy the day everyone. It's going to be in the high 80's here today, so yeah I may be catching up on "Hell On Wheels" "Sons of Anarchy" and "Supernatural" today.

Sir Madog Jeff - we was worried (and still are), you know! for a speedy recovery! I think you had your fill of hospital food for this year.

Jeremy: i just saw your post about the headache and blurry vision. My advice echoes the others. Get to the doc or the ER yesterday if not sooner!
*
Good morning. It's 73° with 94% humidity. Partly cloudy with a 20% chance rain.
Just finished my breakfast here. A passable excuse for oatmeal, what looked like a small scoop of powdered eggs, slice of French toast, cup of coffee that could probably double as paint thinner, skim milk, apple juice. Plan for today: Survive the onslaught of nurses!
Have a nice day.
jeffrey-wimberlyPlan for today: Survive the onslaught of nurses!
I bet the line up for you!
Jeremy - I had a minor stroke not so long ago, the symptoms were exactly a you describe them. It could be just a twisted nerve, but it could also be a stroke. GO TO THE ER, NOW!
Mornin' everyone!
Zoe, I'll have.... Huh? the special for the day is what Jeffrey had? Ah, no.... I'll have the #2 special, over easy on the eggs, home fries, bacon, and a double order of sourdiugh toast with real grasde A butter! Horsespittle food... Yuck!
I am waiting for a neighbor (the lady I spoke of last night) to stop by with the envelopes to print. I need to get at least half of the lawn mowed today, do some house cleaning, print the envelopes, do the laundry (I amj out of clean clothes...), and ponder rivets... It will be busy I guess.
Dennis, good luck at the doctors today. Bet he will send you for some major tests! You will be in my thoughts and prayers!
Need to get myself moving! Later!

Hi Jeremy!
JeremyBBack from Doctor. She thinks its just a migraine and prescribed me some medication for it.
When I read your posts on the headache, the first thing I thought of was that it could be a migraine. My youngest son had them as pre-teen way back when. The medication kept them under control most of the time and if he had an attack it was much milder. Turns out as an adult after he moved to Chicago, his eye doctor found out why he was getting them. Seems he had astigmatism. We had him to eye doctors several times as a child, but it wasn't found until years later. My late wife used to get a variety of them that made everything look wierd, slanted and skewed to the side on occastion. Her's were painless. My son's were agonizing for him. Hoping the medication works well for you.
Still waiting for the lady to arrive with the envelopes she wants printed...
Later!
So far today I've been poked and prodded by several doctors and specialists then I was rescued by the physical therapy people who took me for a long walk to the end of the hall, turned around and walked to the other end of the hall then back to the room where I was weighed (221) and put back into bed. It didn't take long for the scrubs and lab coats to begin circling again. Lunch was somewhat identifiable. What looked like Monterey Chicken with noodles and green beans a wheat roll and a pear. The Monterey Chicken was OK but the noodles were somewhat stringy and the green beans were like rubber. Anybody wanna play baseball? The wheat roll would make a perfect ball. The pear was the only perfect part of the meal and I really enjoyed it.

I ma DEFinitely on the "positive energy flow" list along with you, Jeffrrey.
BTW my dryer is run by a computer. so is my oven. even the dehumidifiers have a mini computer to run adn operates them, all of which will fail before the physical machines do!
later
The pills I got this morning are working ok, the pain is let up a bit. My new job was great about me saying I wasnt able to come today. Its a good thing too because soon as I took the pills I was sleepy within the hour and took a two hour nap ( which is extremely rare for me as I only nap when I feel sick ) going to take them again tonight and hope to get a good night sleep in.
Dinner was fair enough. Not bad for a diabetic meal. Tossed garden salad (tomato removed) with light dressing, beef pot roast, mashed potatoes w/gravy, carrots, wheat roll, grapes, iced tea, strawberry flavor Boost. The only thing I had an objection to was the carrots. They were somewhere between blanched an half cooked. The rest was pretty good and I really enjoyed it.
Not much going on here. Just surfing the web and watching TV. Not much else to do except chase nurses. They can outrun me by just walking away. LOL! I couldn't win a foot race with a fish.
Sounds like the food there is ok Jeff.
JeremyB Sounds like the food there is ok Jeff.
I remember when my wife was going through chemo back in 2003 she was a pateint in hospital for close to two months and she hated the food there. I ended up going to get her something and eat her hosiptal food. They told me that it would just get thrown out if she didnt eat it so I ate it instead of it geting thrown out.
I can still remeber that Tuesday was ham and instant potatoes, lol funny I can remember that during such a terrible time. We still laugh at that now when I eat ham ( she hates it ). I think they had a spaghetti night too but it was just horrible. The dinner rolls were always good and the pudding, actually she would eat that part of it.
Ice cream was the one thing that would sit in her stomach during her sickest days and the nurses always would say if it sits then she could eat as much as she wanted.
Time for me to call it a night. I should be back in the morning provided they don't have to take me downstairs for any tests.
Have a good night.
Evening Dinners!
Flo, pleases and a hot pad.
Jeffery I sure remember the small ice cream scoops of scrable eggs when I was in the hosptial! While they tasted fine, man there was just not that much there!
Jemery Glad to hear the meds are helping. I as well would have my eyes checked. Speaking of that, I need to remember to call the VA to have mine checked!
Did not call the lawyer or BoS today so it was a good day! I know, I need to get on the stick!
Work Out I really bombed the Biecepts tonight and was a little shocked with the results! First I did my normal biecept curles and add 5 lb to the last set. Then I added Dumb Bell Curles afterward. I have never really messed with Dumb Bells before.
My left Biecept has all wise been bigger and with a taller peak to it than the right. So the left should be stronger, right? Well I was wrong, the right side is stronger but smaller? After the 4 sets of Dumb Bell curles I did 4 sets of Reverse Arm Curles. This stresses the top of Forearms and the Biecepts. Next was reverse wrist curles, plams down and lifting the bar up by the wrist joint only. This all so works the top of the forearms. Then normal wrist curles, Plams up and stresses the inner forearm.
By the time I was done I was sweating like a pig. (Do pigs really sweat?) Arms felt like they where ready to fall off! Arms maybe sore Wednesday but it will be worth it in the long run.
See you all later, Ken
I hate Rust
well, its morning again...

Good morning. It's 72° with 97% humidity. Looks like the weather here in Alexandria is gonna be a bit loud and wet. It'll be mostly cloudy with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Looks like more of the same today. They have Hi-def cable here but not a single movie channel on which to enjoy it. Most of the channels are news, sports, politics and shopping. Squeezed in here and there are regular channels that occasionally have something entertaining to watch. Being able to surf the forums is about all that's keeping me sane. Well that's all for now.
Good Afternoon!
I have been pestered by computer problems all morning. Whenever I wanted to do something, some blooming plug-in or script would not respond, bringing that darn machine to a grinding halt. Never had that before it started when Microsoft terminated the maintenance of Windows XP, which I am still using. If that´s they way they want to make people change to Windows 7 or 8, I call that blackmailing!
Good to see, that Jeff is keeping a high level of spirits!
Still way too hot here, and I am on my knees heatlth-wise. I don´t feel up to anything, only little things, like addig another fascia board on the blue building. I may start drawing the construction plans for the freight house, which will be shortened version of the Wiscasset freight house.
Have a good one!
Ulrich: I mentioned having computer problems yesterday, adn spending oh, about an hour on the phone with the cable supplier, and spent about 3 hours on the phone the other day with our virus protector company "cleaning up the computer" and IT STIL WAS GIVING ME FITS.
I t stopped hwil eon the phone with the cable company for unknown reason and started allowing my to download/upload at a reasonable pace again without denying me access to things or dumping me offline.
AND THE POINT IS: I DO have windows 7!
SO your arguement about "forcing you to a new windows program may be false!
But: PS Ulrich whenever a company makes something obsolete it is a way to force you to buy new, as a former business man {?} I would think you know that silly part! If it is not "built in obsolesence" it is "no longer support" anymroe. LOL evenr when they offfer "lifetime warrantees.!!!!!!!!
Well, I have PT torture today. Actually feling pretty good right now. we will see what the rest of the day brings as I have to do a few things.
I have found the culprit! It´s not WindowsXP, but all programs provided by Google. The scripts and plug-ins in these programs are not fully compatible with WindowsXP anymore. Migrating to Windows7 should remedy this problem.
Good morning, all. I had a good hockey game last night, as the winning goaltender in a 16-6 game. Since a "Tuesday Night Shutout" is anything under 10 goals, I was credited with one of those.
I had some computer problems a few months back. I had downloaded a font to use on a sign on my layout, and suddenly I had all manner of problems. The worst of them would give me the Blue Screen of Death whenever I plugged a camera into the USB port. I did some searching and the consensus was to replace the USB port driver. I went to the Microsoft site and clicked on the button to update the driver, and it gave me another virus! Instead of a driver, I got some useless "Driver Update" program that wanted to charge me a fee just to run it! After some more detective work, I found the site for the manufacturer of the card, and they had a legitimate download available. Fixed the problem in a minute.
When Microsoft's web site directs me to a viral product rather than a driver I need, well, I can understand why their store at the mall is empty while Apple's is crowded.
It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.
Sir Madog thought, perhaps too optimistically: I have found the culprit! It´s not WindowsXP, but all programs provided by Google. The scripts and plug-ins in these programs are not fully compatible with WindowsXP anymore. Migrating to Windows7 should remedy this problem.
I'm doing fine with XP at home. But, I use a recent version of Firefox as my browser, not the cantankerous Internet Explorer. I keep my Adobe stuff (Acrobat and Flash player) up to date, too. Those are free and easy to upgrade.
Unless you are replacing your computer, I would avoid "migrating" from XP. Your machine is probably older and slower than today's models. These new versions of Windows, like all earlier versions, seem to need the full capabilities of whatever machines are available when they are written. So, while they may claim that Windows 7 will run on your computer, it may run by itself but not leave you any room to run anything else.
I bought a brand new "gamer" machine a couple of years ago, a fast machine with a lot of memory and a good graphics card to support Flight Simulator. I bought a second-source license for XP to go with it, and it runs everything just fine.
