Morning guys
Just got home from a sleep study. I never liked going to doctors, and I really disliked this. It's akward sleeping with all sorts of wires attached to my head, chest, hands, and legs. The mattress was also a lot firmer than my liking.
Haven't done a whole lot of MRRing. Been too busy with work. I dislike closing, it seems the last person always taked their time after the comissary is closed, and my "lunch" break ends up being around 2:30-3ish, and then I get a 15 minute break around 5. I'd rather have my "lunch" break at 5... I did however meet a girl the other day and we hit it off pretty well. Well enough she gave me her number and we may end up going out for dinnet on saturday.
Ulrich, your progress looks good
Jeff, If you can get a new engine, that'd be pretty good to. But how are you gonna get your nephew to install it?

Wants: 1. high-quality, sound equipped, SD40-2s, C636s, C30-7s, and F-units in BN. As for ones that don't cost an arm and a leg, that's out of the question....
2. An end to the limited-production and other crap that makes models harder to get and more expensive.

Morning all. Hope you aer all doing well. Closing at work tonight, so this is going to be a long day, but on the positive side, it;s the last day of work before going to a concert tomorrow night. Joe Grushecky and the House Rockers. I also get paid today, so I think today is the day I buy the start of my Wheeling coke/coal train. Have a great day all.

Good Afternoon!
I am back from my doctor´s appointment. The results are not at all thrilling. While there is nothing major wrong, he thinks I am having to much stress, showing up in my BP and heart rate.
Now, what the heck does he mean? Stress? All I am doing is w*rking on my layout! OK, I am on the fast track right now, maybe I should slow down a little.
I didn´t do much on it today - just built and installed on the door on the red building. Pictures will follow when there is more to show, like a canopy over the loading deck, a chimney on the blue building, and maybe signs. Ah, well, not to forget those 7 windows I still have to build. No, I won´t be doing all of that by tomorrow evening, promised.
Galaxy - buddy, I ain´t gonna take you around the barn and let you heave the lead slug!, No, Sir! Things are rough at your end, but there are folks who care about you!
Well, CUL!
Mornin' everyone,
Zoe, just a refill for my dark roast coffee please...
Yesterday was sunny with a few clouds going by... Today is cloudy with a small break of sunlight now and then. Currently 67°F outside with a high of 72°F later this afternoon when the rain showers start.
Monthly Museum meeting tonight complete with train rides. I'll be doing car host on the Erie Caboose most likely.
Hoping the Bridge Shoes arrive today so I can keep moving with the small bridge project. Have a bunch of other small things to keep me busy as well.
Have a good day out there and stay safe!

well, I was right,
The Doctor is sedning me to PT {Physical Therapy for the unitiated}. with the idea of electrocution may help {Electrical stimulation for those unititiated}, mong other things.
Thsi mornign before going out the door, I could hardly move after shower and dressing and doing about 3 minutes of 6 items of dishes and about 10 pieces silverware.
He also gave me a different heavy duty pill.
I have taken a {the first kind} "special pill" so will soon be asleep. That is the only rest I get form constant pain.
I wonder, now if the lawyers will listen now that I go to PT?
My pain now is FAR worse than it ever was just before injections, which was its worst.
I give it a pain rating of 8-9 constant.
I reserve 10 for exclusively surgical pain and 9 is usually reserved as the same, but I feel confident in using a 9 now.
Agian, take me out behidn the barn in pound a stake through my heart to put me out of misery.

Hello hello hello ? Where did every one go ? Well for the few that are here. Great weather here, feels like fall - yippy - hate hot humid weather. Went to church last night. Then took GF and kids out for slurpees. GF daughter seems to be better. Cant wait to get paycheck tomorrow. I think my raise will show up in this one. Tht will be welcome.
Galaxy - hang in there. Do you have professional help ? That disease cannot be beat on its own. My mother had that. It is tough.
Jeff - Tabasco lemonad ? Really do you drink that ? How does it taste ? oNLY 75% Humidity ? Geez thats awful. The steam engine in your photo who is the manufacture ?
Frank - I was discussing teh whole project not just the flange. Around here near DC where everyone drives , BMW, Lexus, caddys etc... every thing is prebuilt. There is not enough skill here to pound in a nail. The Local hardware stores have all pretty much gone by the wayside.
yougottawantaJeff - Tabasco lemonad ? Really do you drink that ? How does it taste ? oNLY 75% Humidity ? Geez thats awful. The steam engine in your photo who is the manufacture ?
Geez I thought the humidity we have here in NOVA was bad. Anyone growing gills there ? How do you breath with that much less work ?
LOL THATS A LOT of Tabasco ! Iron gut ?

Went to see the doc today about the gall bladder ultrasound. Bad news is there's gall stones. DUH! I've been telling that for years. They've come up on countless X-rays. Good news is the gall bladders wall thickness is normal. I have an appointment to see a surgeon in August. The doc also confirmed my suspicion that I have irritable bowel syndrome. No surprise to me. I've been having trouble with it for over ten years. It was never as bad as now. He suggested Dulcolax and said to take two a day starting today and don't get too far from a bathroom. Now more bad news. Looks like the fourth toe (third toe for me) is abscessed. The doc has put me on antibiotics and wants to see me again in twelve days.Stopped off at my fathers place for watermelon. First thing I had to eat today.Other than that there's nothing going on save for the shameful stuff on the news from Ukraine. I'd like to say what I think about that but I like being here too much.
goodness, Jeffrey, you are having a walk in hte hayfield.
The good news is that with your gallbladder out you should feel better. Trust me, I had mine -ectomied.
The good news is you can treat irritable bowel.,{though I wouldn't be surprised if some of your hot food additions don't irritate it.} I have to take fiber {not a laxative, though it can be one}, and a pill called Bentyl for spasms. Not a cheap one but a pahrmacy here in the grocery sore has it cheapley now, at just $10/3month supply!
Now, I hope that toe gets better!
I am so-so, still on the depresssed side.slept all afternoon and soon for bedtime
Good evening. With a temp of 74° it would be nice if not for the 100% humidity. There's a 70% chance of rain tonight and 80% tomorrow. Looks like it's gonna be wet.See y'all tomorrow.
Hi Guys
Up early today to go to the IRL race in Toronto. We will be going for today and the two races on Saturday and Sunday. Great thing is I am also off Monday. Dont know if I will be able to make it into the diner over the weekend, I guess it depends how tired I am at night.
Talk to you guys later
I Just got up. My sleep/wake schedule is now gettting messed up as the one med makes me sleep a LOT, but it is wearing down, or I am geting used to it, so nto sleeping as much, but enough now to change sleep patterns.
I have PT today which means MORE pain I am sure. As they will have me doing tghings I wouldn't think of doing with my back in this condition.
In the AM {like now} I can hardly move for the pain.
Prayers an Healing Engergies go out to those like: Johnboy haven't heard form him lately?}; Jeffrey {hope he saves his toe}; Garry's SIL {she is doign better}; Me {Hopeful for improvement-some,any, whatever};Barry {where IS he?}; Ulrich {to remain stable}.
No fancy uplifting quotes of funny limericks, my heart is not in it today.
have a good a day, maybe i will too.
Morning all. How are ya doing? I won't be on tonight, I've got a concert to attend, and actually watch them film a Pittsburgh Documentary at the concert. Well, I missed heritage doubleheader-the Reading and the CNJ on the same train-oh well, I've already got a photo of both. It was so foggy here this morning, you could barely see your hand in front of you face. I had a really good payday yesterday so here come those hoppers. Anyway, enjoy the day everyone, and make it one that counts.
Good morning ..
I'll have coffee and a pecan roll please.
Galaxy ... Thanks for including my SIL on the list. Looks like the docs fixed the arteries, and she will be okay after a period od time with restricted activities. .... Take care yourself. Pehraps, you can work on a small model railroad project to get you mind off of other stuff.
I hope each of you has a great day.

It is hot - way too hot for me to feel OK. The temperature reading says it is 32°C outside, with a humidity of 85% and increasing, as there is another series of thunderboomers heading our way.
I did only a few things on the wharf buildings, starting early in the morning for just a couple of hours. I made a canopy over the loading deck on the red building, painted the door of that building and added a chimney to the blue building. The chimney turned out not to be as straight up as I intended it to be, so let´s assume the a storm pushed it over a little
Continuing healing to Galaxy, Garry´s SIL, Barry, Flip, Johnboy and Jeff (and all others needing them).
Where´s Todd?
Have a good one, ya´ hear!
Ulrich: the buildings are looking good.

Good morning. It's 72° with 100% humidity. The high will be 82° with a high probability of showers and thunderstorms. A flash flood watch is in effect until 7pm.Woke up to thunder, lightning and hail this morning not to mention pitch darkness as the power was out. So I turned on the emergency lamp. The power came back on about ten minutes laterFirst donation for the engine fund arrived yesterday. Thanks.
Forgot to mention yesterday that my weight is down to two hundred twenty. That's a drop of eighteen pounds in a little over a month. The new antibiotics and about ten other prescriptions should be ready for pickup today. My father said he'll be in town today so he'll go by and pick them up.For now I'm waiting on the Home Health nurse to call. As far as plans for today, My //e is acting up. Tests indicate a problem in the ROM chip so I'll dig one out of the parts box and change it out. Should take about fifteen minutes.Took a Dulcolax gelcap this morning and didn't have long to wait. Oh what a relief that was!
Mornin' everyone!
Zoe, I'll have a bowl of Organic All Bran cereal with fresh Blueberries this morning and a cup of Marrakesh Express dark roast coffee in my R&GV RR Mug please. What? No.... no problem, I just like that cereal. No, I don't need what Jeffrey took...... Sheeeesh!
Ulrich, that is some fine scratchbuilding, my friend!
Went to the monthly meeting of the Museum last night. We started out getting the train hooked up and brakes tested, then loaded everyone on board. Moved the train up to the Restoration Building for the actual meeting. That way everyone who was there could see the progress on the "Inspection Pit" that is going in. By Fall it should be completed and operational. It will make servicing and repair of locomotives much easier, and may be used for all kinds of equipment where we need to get underneath to do work. We then headed North up to the New York Museum of Transportation for our round trip by train. We only went as far up there as we had permission to go.... The 80 Tonner can't negotiate the tight curves at that museum and we didn't try! We want to stay in good graces with them...
Jeffrey, I add my prayers that the infection on your toe can be taken care of with the antibiotics the Doc gave you! Hope you can get the ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) changed over in the Tank soon!
I hope to finish waterproofing the deck today as the sun is out and no, uh, you know what, is in the forecast.... Also hope the Bridge Shoes arrive so I can get more done on the overpass bridge I am building. Need to do a little Grocery shopping as well. Will do that when I head over for my allergy injection early this afternoon.
Catch you all later!
I recieved two more donations to the engine fund today. To those contributing I say Thank you. To those who haven't contributed, what are you waiting for? We're over halfway there. Let's keep it going.
RB,
I believe you run everybody off!
Take Care!
Frank
No, I think they're struggling through their Friday, haven't gotten off work or spending time in the train room. Maybe the Honey-Do lists are long.

Days Off I had Thursday and Today off. I have found out That if I want to get anything done I cannot eat anything! Yesterday I woke up and felt so so, not bad but not great. Took a short nap around 10:00 AM and did the running I needed to do. Got home round had a single pice of TX Toast and lights out!
Today I took a small nap starting at 10:00 AM got up at 11:00 AM. Did not eat a thing and felt pretty good.
1 Fixed the weight bench.
2 Went Layout diving and found some weight plates. Still missing around 150 pounds?
3 Started Vacuuming the Train Room / Garage / Dead Snake Room. "Never Did Find Where That Darn Snake Went"?
4 Hauled out two boxes of junk and some extra boxes I did not want.
5 Went on trash run.
6 Cut part of the grass
7 Trim down a lot of bushes and hacked down small trees from the front of the house.
8 Went to K-10 Model Trains, found a Foam Cutter he loaned to me around 5 years ago? I just plain forgot I had it! It was buried in with all the junk under the layout I could not see it!
New Grill OK, I have learned my lesson! Don't BBQ Chicken With The Skin On! Yea, I tried it the old way again! Darn near melted the grill! Think it was around 400 degrees by the time I got to it. Luckly I had been watching it and the Chicken is not runied.
Using Beer To Put Out The Flames is a Bad Idea! With Lava Rocks worked great, with this Grill it is like throwing water on a grease fire! I still do have some hair on my arms!
Jeffery I hope to beable to send you some funds next week. Will be a modest amount but it should help. I will all so send you a PM in the next few days.
See you all Saturday after work.
Ken
I hate Rust
Afternoon folks!
Nah.... None of us here would let that guy named Running Bear chase us away. He's a friendly Bear, kinda like Pooh!
I finished the sealing/waterproofing of the deck this afternoon. I have blocked access to the deck steps while the Waterseal cures and dries. Supposed to be some showers tomorrow afternoon so I will see if the rain beads up on it like it is supposed to. Have a sore back at the moment. Not used to doing that kind of w*rk anymore...
Did the grocery shopping around lunch time. Since I can't use the Grill tonight, I bought a Turkey Pot Pie for supper. Not my favorite cuisine, but it will do. It is in the oven at the moment. Hate to turn on the oven this time of year, but today has been mild and the sun is out so I still should make more electric than I used.
This evening I hope to do a bit more on the bridge. Yesterday I stained the 8" x 10" ties after I cut them as well as the 4" x 4" spacers between the bridge ties. Since the Bridge Shoes didn't arrive today, I will assemble the ties for the bridge tonight. Photos possible later...
Hope you are all having a grand Friday wherever you are!
I wnet to PT, and I was right, she electrocuted me. That actually felt good, and lasted until I did a load of laundry and a half sink full of dishes!
Then all bets were off. SO was hte relief.
well, tomorrow is antoehtr day,and I go to PT for 3 times a week for 3-4 weeks.
I ma still majorly bummed
So you got some relief and then did the same thing I do and overdid it. You gotta get some rest for a while before you try to spin the world on your fingertip.
Good evening. It's a somewhat cool night at 73° but the 100% humidity will soak you to the skin. I've already been out there. Went to my fathers place for watermelon but I didn't have much of an appetite for it. Afterward We watched wheel of fortune then I had to return home. Got the //e running right again. It was just what I though. The ROM chip.
There's no more to add to what I posted earlier. I just took my antibiotics and the handful of pills and capsules that constitutes my meds so I'm gonna be hitting the sack pretty soon.Time for me to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.
