Afternoon, all! Just an Ole Smoothie ,Cloe.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. But Please, if you see something I can improve on ,Please feel free. That's a good way to improve!Big Smile [:D]

GAV: good progress, keep at it!

PAUL:When I figure out how, I'll put up a track plan. It's basically single track, Following the prototype C&NW from Spooner to Cameron. If you Google earth, or something simular, use Wisconsin/USA then Spooner to start. The old ROW is out my door and I followed it pretty faithfully.Added some spurs, tho!

PC: I told ya the car was fast! Way to go! Good luck with the CFO,Too!

ROB: No joy on the TT yet. I'll keep looking.

ED/JR: I agree, oil drips really add something.(the ridge needs trees!)

RYAN: Yup, That's Schultz's ,First DPM I built.I've gotten better.

INCH: No idea on the trucks, says made in china on the bottom.I need more detail in that area ,too.

JEFF: CAT hair?!? Where do you GET these  ideas?!?Smile [:)]

Her's another shot at Sarona. That's Vital Plastics in the background. Really isn't there, but the guy that owns the company is a biker bud of mine. It's really about 60 miles away in Baldwin, WI.

BTW, I know I took some shark bites when I posted the sawdust thread, but you can see some on the left in that pic.

Well, back to grinding up foam in the blender!

Rob, the Concor tooling is quite dated and with them slowly going out of business parts are getting hard to come by. The Kato is a brand new tooling and is superior in both detail and qualty.....in other words, its a Kato!

Man, it took me 20 minutes to type this on this computer!

Good Day All,

PC: I remember when I did the pine wood derby 3 years ago. I realized I couldn't create the fastest carShock [:O] so instead, I created a car that looked like a dragonMischief [:-,] and I won the award for best animalBig Smile [:D]

It was 38 this morning in TampaConfused [%-)] but it eventually got warmer and is now a pleasant 62Smile [:)]

Question for all: do you live visibly (or near) a RR lineQuestion [?] If so which one and how busy is it?

I myself live near the CSX shortline that runs through Tampa; we don't have much traffic Sad [:(]

When you have little to work with, you use what's at hand, and I had tons of cat hair on hand. It was just a matter of figuring out how to use it. I tried glueing it in place first then painting it but the paint just beaded up on the glue. So i tried putting it on a sheet of glass and painting it but the paint made it stick to the glass. Finally I found that if I treated the glass with Pam cooking spray and letting it dry then holding the cat hair down on it with tweezers and painting it, the paint didn't stick to the glass. After that I picked the cat hair up in the tweezers and put some white glue on it then sprinkled on some green foam and set it in place on the water tower. It took a long time to do but it got done, and I haven't done it since.

Got the eyes checked today and the doc says there's some blood in them but that it looks to be minor at this point. He set me up for an appointment in Alexandria next Friday to have a more in depth exam done. Right now my eyes are very sensitive to light as the pupils have been dilated.

Hey wow!  There's pics on this page!

I'm home now, and the computer at the hospital doesn't show the pics I guess!

And HEY!  They're good too!

Well, the wife is resting fairily comfortably on Morphine and Percocet, so I headed home.  I haven't slept in about 35hrs since I was up all night praying.  Think I'll be turning in soon!  They may let her go home tomorrow or they may keep her another night, we don't know yet.  I guess the next 15-18hrs will answer that question.  She wants to thank you all for the well wishes and prayers.  Frankly, she's a little blown away by the fact that you all did that last time and this time for her since she's like not even a member of the forum and all.  I told her that we're kind of like some wierd sort of family......some wierder then others!  Anyways, I'm off to get some dinner and then maybe see how that bed feels!

 SilverSpike wrote:

Bow [bow] PC you all did a great job with the Pinewood Derby car and congratulations on wining the race too!

So, you going to share your "tricks" that put you into the wining circle? Whistling [:-^]

Make sure most of the weight is towards the back....just don't pop a wheelie down the track.  Then drill the axle holes so that only the inside edge of the tire actually touches the ground.......and only three of them at that.  Make one of the front tires hover just a couple of sheets of papers thickness off of the ground (three wheels create less friction then four!).  Also, chuck the inside tips of the axles into a drill and break out the polishing kit.  Buff those babies to a mirror shine!  While you're at it, sand the treads of the tires to smooth.  And the inside wheel hubs.....shave down the thickness on those bad boys.  Now take the axles and tires and put them in a ziplock bag and throw in some powdered graphite.  Now seal and shake the bag.  Finish your bodywork (get that thing right at 5oz. with the axles and wheels) and then fit the axles and tires.  This next step is important......test roll the car across a hard floor and carefully bend the axles until the car runs straight and true.  You don't want the car trying to turn as it goes down the track as it'll rub the raised centerline and slow you down.  Now put a ton of powdered graphite into the outer axles and wheel hubs and the inners too, and then go show the competition your tail lights!  Nothing to it!

Just to prove there's more then one way to skin a cat (where in the world did that saying ever come from anyways?  Or do I really want to know?), the second place car used butter Flavored Pam Cooking Spray as it's lubricant on the axles!

Ouch, Jeff! RRnut so.... how'd you do on the math test? You know all us ORF and ALMOSTORF will be on you about it!

Made a 5 gal. pail of ground foam today. Some of it is still drying.

I had a thought while I was stirring it around. Last weekend  I sat down to write up some more car cards as I'm starting to do some operating. It's a major P.I.T.A. to come up with destinations and bussinesses that receive by rail. What if we each listed the local or semi-local companies that do just this?It would give a wealth of destinations and loads for us all.I'd be willing to list a few at a time, and you guys can write them down. Maybe 4-5 at a time?

Haugen,WI: Feed mill, elevator, lumber yard,stationw/team track. Box/flat/bulkhead/covered hopper.the obvious loads.

Rice Lake ,WI.:2 elev./feed mills(both cenex/farmers union,1 no,1so.)

                    Station w/tt

Mastercraft cabinets bx in and out, lumber in.

American Excelsior .They make erosion control products, one of the oldest co.'s here,bx in and out.Stuff to make netting etc.,wood chips for the blankets....

McCain Foods. They make onion rings and french fries, products like that.Bx,reefer,c.hopper.

                      Shadow Plastics.They produce bags, bottles ,straws,etc.pellet c. hopper,bx

It's a start, any one interested? Maybe when we post we could add 1 per post, or something.

Let me know what you all think?

Evening all,

What's on the desert menu?

I laid 150" of mainline today and added 4,032 square inches of real estate to the layout (that's one 48" x 48" and one 36" by 48" table).

Went to start my truck this morning and the starter spins but the bendix won't engage long enough to start the truck.  First thing in the morning the tow truck will be here to haul her to the shop.

CAT HAIR?!?!? Shock [:O]

Terry,  I have blank way bills if you want them they are in a PDF.

Nice trees terry.  You should re-post your tree making procedure.  I need to get some apple trees for the orchard.

Railroad nut, I live in Ohio just north of the Chicago Line mile mark 171, 40 to 50 trains daily.

PC, sounds like you had a heck of a day.  Glad all is going ok.

Gav, I spent 2 weeks in Ireland (Limerick) and a day in London, only trains I saw was commuter trains.  As any good Bosun I did managed to get to the Prime Meridian in Greenwich.

Ok I'm going to finish peeling this glue off my arms.

Good Evening, Chloe - I'll have the Filet Mignon Béarnaise and twice baked potato, and the turkey vegetable soup, please. Think I'll go for a hot fudge sundae brownie, since PC's been in, so I'm sure the pie is in short supply...Wink [;)] Thanks!

Jeff, I can understand about the dilating your eyes hurting. After I see my eye doctor, my eyes hurt for at least an hour, I'd guess. I can see a new topic thread coming:

"Persian or Tabby hair - which makes better scenery?" Laugh [(-D] Might go as many pages as the Toaster thread has, even! Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

RRNut, the RR line nearest to me is downtown, just inside of the floodwall (maybe couple of miles from me). I'd guess a half dozen trains go through daily, but not for sure. I know I can hear train horns sometimes in the mornings when I've got up, or else in the evening, but there might be others coming through at other times (when I'm inside during the day, or when I'm asleep at night). At this distance (and since I'm a fairly sound sleeper), I may not hear trains once I'm down for the night. Zzz [zzz] We have UP mostly, but there's a shared part of the track and BNSF goes through to get to their track south of us. It used to be Cotton Belt south of us (pre-merger), and I think there's a RR bridge across the Mississippi River there (now called Scott City, MO, but it used to be two towns - the other was a RR town called Illmo (or ILL-MO... gee, how do you think they came up with that town name?...Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

PC, I will keep the prayers coming through your wife's coming home. With those drugs, she probably isn't hurting now. I'm sure she isn't complaining about pain on those. Good to hear she's through all the surgery.

As for the 'weird family' - HEY! I resemble that remark! Shock [:O]Wink [;)]Laugh [(-D] Tell your wife to think of us as her weird Uncle Charlie (and Jim and Inch and Jerry and Paul and Johnboy and...). You get my drift, I'm sure. And it's probably good to catch up on your rest, I'd say. (35 hours straight? Wow!! [wow])

Terry - 5 gallon pail? That's a bunch of ground foam! I probably couldn't use up that much, myself (but then again, in the desert Southwest....). I like your shot over the top of the boxcars, by the way. Thumbs Up [tup] On the industries locally here, I'd have to probably go north or south a hundred miles, as the closest industry I know of served by rail here would be a (not sure if it's cement or gravel) company in Ste. Genevieve, about 60 miles north.

Paul, how'd your visit to the Dr. go today?

Well, I got one of those 'nasty' payday loan things today. Saw online that the last of (one too many) charges/check had come into the account, but it hadn't posted. Think I may have dodged a bunch of charges. But I will make sure the loan gets paid off - the interest rate just for the couple of weeks that I have it, is way too high. Next, need to watch every bill like a hawk for the next month (and to get my tax return sent in so I get the federal refund; the $50 I still owe Missouri will wait until closer to April 15th). Then the breathing room will be better.

I was fiddlin' around with ideas for the layout last night, and it looks like it'll be difficult to fit everything I would like into a 10 X 10 space. I either can give up putting the turntable and roundhouse (and only have a 3-4 track yard, using the track through the turntable as a switching lead for the yard), or I could have a better sized yard, but no turntable and roundhouse. So when I move, I want that second bedroom to be more like 10 X 11 or 10 X 12 in size.

Time to get back to my dinner - Chloe, could you please bring me that hot fudge sundae brownie now? I may need to guard it from some of the hungrier Diners.

Blessings and Prayers,

Jim in Cape Girardeau

Good Evening Coffee Clubbers,

Another beautiful day down here in Paradise.  Cool [8D]  Very comfortable temperature, probably around the mid-70's.  We took advantage of it and went out to the orange grove to pick some fruit.

This is going to be a rather quick post this evening as we are in the middle of packing for our trip to Mexico City (and surrounding area).  We leave here on the midnight bus (unfortunately, not the train) and will be at our hotel in Mexico City tomorrow morning at 07:00.  Check in, a quick nap, and we'll be good to go.  The trip with our railfan buddies is Saturday.  We're bringing a gunny sack of oranges to pass out on the trip, which has been our habit for the past two years whenever these outings occur during the orange season.  We should be back here Wednesday evening.

Northern Phil:  When you get back home, we need to discuss adding some kind of anti-freeze to that OJ you're sending this way....why, maybe some of that Tequilla! I can see the Sunrise Express heading this way now!
Now there's an idea!  Thumbs Up [tup]

Fergie - I used to really love skiing, especially when I lived out west.  But it's been probably 14-15 years since I've skied, and I'm probably not going to be doing it again.  Too bad, I do miss it.

Lee:  do you have any pictures of your orchard?  I'm particularly interested in pictures of harvest season.
Quite a few, actually.  I just need to upload them to some foto hosting site.  I have opened and acct with Photobucket and established an album for the orange grove.  I'll try uploading some shots after the trip.  Anyone know if there's a maximum size for uploading photos to Photobucket?

Rob - I suspect that PC is generally correct in his assessment of the 2 different GS4's, but there's probably a bit more to it than just that.  Here's a link to a 171 post thread over on TrainBoard with a more detailed discussion of the differences, including some photos.  If you're really interested, you might want to skim through it.

http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine/showthread.php?t=96220

Railroadnut:  Question for all: do you live visibly (or near) a RR line?
Nearest railroad to me is about 100 miles due north.

I suppose I missed commenting on a few things, but gotta run.  Catch up with you in about a week or so.

Regards

Ed

Evening Gang:

PC my congratulations to your son. That is a good looking car for sure.  Here's whishing your wife a speedy recovery.

Gav: What part of England are you in? I'm a member of the Leighton Buzzard Narrow Gauge Railway Society of Leighton Buzzard. That's in the south east I think. Since I live in Texas it's along distance membership. Which reminds me my dues are due.

Philnrunt: I think that a load of this weather is on its way. I can't be sure though since it's being shipped by the Government.

Ozarkbelt: The layout is looking good. If the Powerlock works for you go for it.

The check up at the VA went well. The only bad news is that I put on some weight. I've got to shave some of this blubber off. The doc said that the Actos that I take for Diabetes makes gaining weight easy. If she takes me off the Actos I have to go on insulin and that makes you gain weight. I'll stick to the Actos and try harder to cut down on what I eat.

Rayon I'll have the Filet Mignon with the twice baked potato. Duh there I go.

Jerry the layout is back at it's original height. Since it maybe moving to the garage I figured I'd put it back and enjoy running it sometimes. I don't know if I'm going to try doing any improvements to it in the line of scenery, which there isn't any of.

Johnboy: Grandma and Grandpa are doing all right. We haven't been over to see the wee one lately. Diane's birthday is Sunday so we will see them then. From what John has said she's doing well. She fell asleep on his chest the other day and since he was asleep he didn't notice when she peed on him. Fatherhood is funny sometimes.

Rob good to hear that your wife figured out what was causing the problem. Quick you had better get the GS-4 while she may think that it's an allusion. I hope that she gets better soon. Tomorrow Mary Ann and I will be taking a couple of calves off the sale barn. I hope that the prices are up.

Terry I've got some geo maps of Wisconsin so I'll take a look. I still can't get over how great your layout room and layout look. I have got to get to work. So you grind up foam rubber too, I used to have 4 blenders going at once back when I was working at Six Flags. I used the foam for making a swamp scum for one of the pools. I used Rite fabric dye for the coloring. I made up maybe 35 to 40 gals of the stuff at a time. I've still got a  bunch in the basement that was excess.

Railroadnut675 the Union Pacific cuts our ranch in half. I do get to do a bit of train watching when I'm doing the chores. We get about 30+ trains a day right now.

Jeff good news about the eyes. Mary Ann had to have some laser work on her eyes a few years ago. She has been fine since but keeps going to the eye doc for check-ups.

Well I think that I've covered everything.

Good Night All

Hello everyone .......

I'm still on liquids after yesterday morning's tooth extraction. Earlier this evening I had "liquid pizza" (tomato soup). I have had almost nothing to eat for two days. Also, it must have been a heavy tooth because I have lost 4 pounds.

There's a lot going on in the diner I see. Everything from cat hair for vines by Jeff to an interesting lesson about the UK from "Sleeper".

Prayers for Mrs. PC as she recovers from the surgery. Also, Philip, it was good to read about the big winner at the pinewood derby.

I hope Rob's wife is improving.

As for being close to a railroad .......... not here. I do see barges instead. When I grew up I could watch Burlington trains from my bedroom window when I grew up west of Chicago.

I have a lot going on the next few days, but will stop in if I can.

Prayers for all in need.

Happy Model Railroading!

Evening all -

Just a quick stop in tonight as it's almost bed time...

Lee - Could I get a look at that pdf, please? Email me via the link on here, unless you still have it from last time we emailed.

As for a rail line in my area... I live in Fayetteville, NY, about a 5 minute drive from the CSX Intermodal Yard in East Syracuse / Minoa / DeWitt (depending on which map you look at!) It's a very active place if you get there at the right time. We have all kinds of run-throughs from CN to UP to BNSF to NS as it's the old NYC Water Level Route. CN get's here mostly via the Montreal Secondary. History for this yard was CR-CSX (not sure about PC) but a little further to the west (about 6 or so miles) is the site of a former NYC yard and passenger station. I'll do a little history presentation on this maybe next week or next weekend when I have more freetime. I'll even provide a map from one of the books I have and some links for you all to look at to see what things look like today as compared to the map.

Ok all - time for bed. Enjoy the evening!

Take care!

Hunter - When we met in January of 2000, you were just a 6 week old pup who walked his way into this heart of mine as the only runt in the litter who would come over to me. And today, I sit here and tell you I am sorry we had to put you down. It was the best thing for you and also the right thing to do. May you now rest in peace and comfort. Love, Dad. 8 June 2010

I love you and miss you Mom. Say hi to everyone up there for me. Rest in peace and comfort. Love, John. 29 March 2017

Greetings from DuBois, Pa.

It's been a long day, out to Chicago to pick up the rent-a-truck at Penskes' by Ohare then up to Newman/Haas to pick up the race car parts. I wanted to get through Ohio before I stopped and did get that done. I usually get through Chicago after dark or before dawn so I've missed a lot of it in the shadows. I think though that for a railfan Chicago and the trip down 90/94 to the Indiana border is just about as good as it gets. In the space of a half hour we went from elevated electrics to commuter rail, then tons of track and cars tied up all over the place. Once up on the skyway I saw in rapid succession Amtra, Norfolk Southern, BNSF, and CSX along with a variety of leased and patched units along with some Conrail power units cut in with the CSX units. Well cars in consists several miles long, hoppers, box cars and every sort of industry you could imagine. Pretty cool stuff. I may need to rearrange my next trip so I can make time to pull off and get some shots.

Congrats PC your son did well! And prayers for your wifes speedy recovery. Hopefully no "comebacks" this time with the surgical screws either.

I need to get some shut eye as I'll get going early tomorrow to try and dodge most of the oncoming snowstorm. Catch y'all tomorrow.      J.R.

    Hidy hi, everyone-

Sleeper33- I appreciate the information, it's always neat to get past the travel shows and books and hear things from real people. Tell us more about your volunteer work with the RR!

cederstrand- chainsaws and spots, eh? Have her work on those, get her to see winning lottery tickets and be able to solder with heat vision, now THOSE would be some superpowers!

jeffreyW- I have the same problem with my eyes, had laser cauterizing done a few years back, (I can still see spots when I blink from it 2 years later) and my left eye has a large dark spot in the center, makes for interesting mixed messages being sent to my brain at times! You take good care of those peepers, the Spray Paint Rembrandt has a reputation to maintain!

cox47- I don't know why, with the internet and all, the NMRA doesn't let you join the division you want to. I never made it to a meeting when I was a member, and when I called the member service line, they had no idea how to go about being assigned to the Dayton area. All done by a computer, and of course, any attempt to change would have resulted in being deleted from the entire world, or something like that.

PaulB- That weather is being shipped by the G'ment, eh? If that has been the case in the past, no wonder we have had such cold weather! Just like my paycheck, they've taken out all of the heat by the time it reaches here! But it looks like we are getting a BIG refund from our snow taxes. Always sleep better cradled in the comforting hands of Big Brother, eh?

railroadnut- We live about 2 blocks from a NS branchline, it used to be two tracks that crossed in a big X, but a few years back they pulled up the tracks running to the south, and replaced the wye with a turnout. Now, the north leg comes into the town I work in-Dunkirk, In, and deadends. It serves a St Gobain Glass Factory and an Anderson's Grain Terminal, and this leg get about 2 trains a day. The East-West section goes to Portland, In, and has a cement plant (Portland Cement! HARHARHAR!!!) and a new Ethanol Plant. It also gets about 2-3 trains a day, so we have a decent number running through our tiny burg.  I get to see some pretty interesting paint schemes for a branchline operation. I posted a few pics on photobucket, under philnrunt, then the local pics I took are in the philtrans sub section, if you are interested.

SaronnaTerry- If you read the above paragraph, you know what industries I have locally, the glass plant gets 36' covered hoppers of sand and a few box cars of paper supplies, the Andersons gets 54' covered hoppers- lots of 'em, and a tank of anhydrous every now and then, the cement plant also gets 36' hoppers and the ethanol plant gets the Anderson's hoppers filled with corn and strings of tank cars. Maybe you could post this in a separate thread so the info would be gathered in one place, and there might be some responses from folks who don't hit the diner. Just a thought. Now, if you were asking about the industries on my MIDWest RR, well thats a whole 'nother post!

Take care all, 'sposed to get a bit warmer this weekend, of course thats after we get another 1-6 " of snow today. Boy, I wish I had a weathermans attitude about my job- 'Yes mamn, the police will be there in 2 minutes to 12 hours from now, and we'll either catch the guy or we won't, and you'll either see you stuff again or you won't." OK, sure, thats what really HAPPENS, but I just can't say it!

Sleep tight, friends. We'll be watching over each and every one of you- HARHARHAR!!!!!

Hi Philnrunt

The duties i used to perform( havn't been down for while) were station staff : dispatching and recieving trains, car park duty and general station duties. On Sundays I worked on the P/way gang doing spot re-sleepering and constructing a turning triangle.

Mornin, I'll just have the buffet n coffee Zoe.

Partly cloudy skies and slightly warmer temperatures will be around today with afternoon daytime highs into the mid 40's with west winds around 15mph. The skies will stay partly cloudy tonight and into the weekend with temperatures returning to average. Tonight expect the temperatures to drop into the mid 20's and then warm into the mid 40's on Saturday. Sunday will be a little warmer with temperatures topping out near 55°! Partly cloudy skies will be around all weekend long with areas of rain moving back in Sunday night into Monday.

PC,,  forgot your wife was having surgery. Great to hear she's doing ok and we'll keep her in our thoughts.

Railroad nut,,

I live just off the old PRR Vandalia line [CSX] about 25 minutes west of Terre Haute, IN and there's about 20 or so trains a day through here. I watch them out the train room window or the campground in the summer.

FLASHWAVE,, I'm being nosey, about where do you live?? I figure your not to far from Terre Haute from the way you talk, probably not much more than an hour from me n Jerry. Send me an E if you don't want to post it on here.

No kids today, but Mothers off work. We're running over to Terre Haute later for a doings at one of her sisters there. Plan on leaving early and get some rail fanning in and maybe a stop by the LHS.

Thoughts for all those in need and hope ya'll has a gooden.

Good morning,

John, I sent you a blank LCL way bill and a Non-LCL way bill.

http://prr.railfan.net/documents/forms.html

Has several railroad forms and the guy did a great job in scanning them.  They are for the PRR but you could change the name as you desired.  The cool thing about the waybills is they still have a section for "icing charges".

If you want to really get into the forms I found some standard shipping rates for the railroads in 1940-1950's:

Flat switching charge: $28.80/car (Law suit between SWIFT vs. Chicago railroads)

Bulk commodities (coal, ore, aggregate) 1 cent/ton-mile

Grain 3 cents/ton-mile

Cattle $125/car from Chicago to Buffalo

Cattle $150/car from buffalo to NYC

As I understand it grain was more because the boxcars had to be cleaned, half doors installed, and the seasonal demand for several cars to be pulled from break bulk service.  It cost the railroad $100/car to move cattle.

"Incentives were established" for loads 60,000 pounds or more between rail road owned terminals (other than cattle).

Hi, all.

LEE: Geez, I'm a dope ! I meant waybills, not car cards.Dunce [D)] I've got blank ones ,that's the problem.I was hoping for shipping ideas.Trying to come up with 4 per waybill is becoming a painLaugh [(-D].I'll try to come up with a tutorial or something on how I do my trees, even the CFO thought that was a good idea. Thanks!

RRNUT: Closest active lines would be the Wisc. Central( now CN?CP?) thru Stone Lake,Wi. (15 mi.) or the ex-CNW that runs up from Chippewa Falls,Wi to Rice Lake.(12 mi.) It's a regional RR out of Chip Falls, the name escapes me at the moment. When the CFO and I take a ride on the bikes we parrallel that line quite often.RR's and motorcycles, that's livin'!!

PHILRUNT: That's an idea! I was hoping you guys would do my work for me.Whistling [:-^]

Thanks for the shipping info tho, that's what I was looking for!

Good luck to all the CFO's who need it.

Jeff, I can see a new topic thread coming:

"Persian or Tabby hair - which makes better scenery?" Laugh [(-D] Might go as many pages as the Toaster thread has, even! Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Feel free to do so. It might be interesting. I know it's one scenery trick I won't be using again. Takes way too long!

Jeff all I can say if you did it once you did it more times than I would I would probally get about 1/2 way thru that process pick up the cat hairs, paint, glass, glue, and what ever else oh yeah the pam and through them right threw the closed bedroom window th the side yard! Now saying that it looks great but way to much detail for me lol. I'am getting more patients as I get older (now 53) but still not sure about that much lol. Thats also why I like the bigger trains aka O gauge and even better Standard Gauge.

Morning all another great day here in eastern TN I'm off from work !! my second day for the week but I do normally work sat and sun. so and there alergic to over 40 hours so no OT here.

Just a lazy day for me. May go get some lumber and see if I can start on the porch. It aught to be fun anyway . I enjoy doing prodjects like that.

may even work on finishing my shelf layout so I can put padding down so I can place track and mount it so I can run trains. (one od shape loop basicly 6'6" x 7' 6" x 4'*8" x 3' 4" had to shorten 2 sides so door could open.

Well take care all talks to you all later
