I make $21 for mowing all our lawns, which takes me about 2 days, including time for the electric mower to rechange. I work for about 2 hours each day. I don't get that much during the holidays, so I get paid a lot for lawn-mowing.

Minimum wage here is about $7.25, but it beats the national standard which is about $5.50 I think?

Don't mean to interrupt, but WOW! Minimum wage? $7.50? It's only $5.45 here in Tn. You guys are lucky! There's skilled welders here only making $8.50-$9.00/hour.
BTW-You guys have a great thread going here. Lots of great work!Thumbs Up [tup]

I added several telegraph poles along the ROW and a couple telphone poles on Route 20. I just need to get some scale telephone line. Thread didn't work so well on my diorama.

Well this was totally unexpected, and was DUMB on my part. I had a derailment, a REAL derailment. Wasn't staged or nothing. But I bet some of you guys won't believe me. Here's the story:

Today I felt like running a manifest on my layout. Just felt like running my trains for the first time in a couple weeks. I set up my cars, and put on my Atlas Master GP40 on the tracks. Now I look over and see my P2K SD45 sitting on the other end of the layout. I said to my self, "I better remember to take that off the tracks, or else I'll forget it's there."

Well I didn't hook my GP40 to my train because I wanted to test to see if it was running ok. Well I turned on the power to my power pack and come to find out that it was on FULL throttle! Not a big problem, unless you got 2 locomotives on the track! Yes, I'm forgetful. Well I see the P2K barreling towards the parked cars. I panic and hit the brake, but it does squat. I watch in horror as the P2K SMASHES into the last car, shoving 2 gons off the track, knocking the locomotive off the track, and making two cars come off the track. Only two cars stayed on. Luckey I tuned off the power other wise my GP40 would have derailed right into my cliff!

I knew it was bound to happen to my P2K. I'm not sure if there's any damage because I want to show my dad.Big Smile [:D] Laugh [(-D]

I'm too ashamed to show my first kit. Tongue [:P]

Here are several shots I got today while railfanning just west of Deerfield Mass.

An Eastbound passenger slows to a stop at a restricting signal. Theres a helper in the next block. The stupid telephone poles always seem to get in my shots. Sad [:(] (This is normally a  station scene but my station "dissappeared" and I will be getting a new one soon.)

First the Telephone pole, now the tree, grrr. Tongue [:P]

At long last the helper slid in from the West.

And one last shot as the F throttled up and was off! Big Smile [:D]

lol, well it's a good thing that it didn't plow into my statition.

Well I got one more thing for you guys. My super detailed Athearn SW1500. Whi orginaly started out as a BB SW1500. So far I added a plow, MUs, a fire craker attenna, a bay window, cab sun shade, and I have painted the roof. On monday the rest of the parts should arrive.
