Wow, that ought to be a great exhibit! We had the "Ink & Blood" exhibit come to Lexington last year and it was great. On a related note I've been up since 4:30am studying for a Hebrew vocabulary quiz, I got started yesterday but just finished putting the last 10 out of 40 words in my brain, anyone gotta couple corks to keep this stuff from oozing out?
On the bright side I now know what: qol, eved, paniym, memlacha, qodesh, hakemah, edesh, veriyts, melech, shamayim, sedech, kohen, meshephats, and 23 other words mean. Bad thing is they are all nouns so I sound like my 2 year old when I use them.
HI GIZ,
27 and windy here today may get snow on Sunday.
Gearing up for big train show in Allentown on Saturday.

Have a good one.

Good morning from New England.
Tired this morning. I might have grabbed an hour or two of sleep total. Julia was sick yet again last night. Back to the doc's today.
No trains last night as I got home too late from work. Hopefully tonight!
Have a good day, everyone.

Good morning all,
It is cold and cloudy in SE Indiana with temps only in the high 30s again. It was supposed to be warmer this weekend, but now they are backing away from that prediction. My wife and I watched a tape of "Lost" last night and also "Grey's Anatomy". My wife also gave me a haircut, which I really needed. Lucas had to work, but then he had a friend over to watch a movie. I had some more bran muffins for breakfast, but there is plenty left for "Points East" on the dining car. I'd like to know where I can get one of those good looking waitresses that Chuck always talks about. The only creature up with me in the morning is the dog, and she goes in her kennel when she sees me?!?!?! My back is doing better, but I am still not 100% (if I ever was). I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Mornin' boys. Someone run down the street and get my trashcan lids...
88 - it arrived, I've signed, it's enroute. Didn't know MARYLAND MIDLAND ran at night. Wouldn't keep me up. When I was a boy, we lived about 200 yds from the North East Corridor. It was an old house, and my mom's china closet would start to "sing" when a Pennsy freight moved by.
Good morning.
The daycare called off yesterday, so I had to stay home with Jack. He fell asleep for a few hours, and I had time to work on the benchwork some. I added my 4'x4' turnaround to one end. I still need to build another one on the other end. It's basically two 4'x4' sections flanking a 2'x5' center section making a dogbone. Once I get the other end done, I can go get the 2" blue foam and mount that. I can't wait to start laying track and getting the wiring layed out.
Have a good one!

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a sunny 22 degrees. Going up to a sunny 35 today. I hope the sun stays all day. Come on, Spring.
Today, we are driving to Zanesville. Wife has an eye exam, to order new contacts. Yesterday was a great day. I got the track done, and ran trains over both bridges. All the switches worked good and the upper level looked good. I will take a few pictures and post them Sunday. Now, I can work on scenery and the town buildings. I had a good time.
Buckeye....Good Luck today. Hope all goes well.
Well, Dining Car just rolled in from " points west ". Waitress is waving to me. Time for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Friday.
Chuck
Good Morning Everyone !! Cold here, can't wait for it to warm up !
Wishing Buckeye all the best today, he's going to have it ruff today.
Hope Julia is alright also, Jim's daughter.
Chuck : have a good safe trip also !!
Well, hope everyone has a nice day !!
Thanks, John
Good Luck, Buckeye!!
HOPE all goes well for you BUCKEYE.
Fife,They don't run at night (at least not late), they do run in the dark... there is a train that typically comes through around 7 or 8 and I didn't hear it last night...Thanks for the update!Brent- More House News - Closing Apr 17, sellers are vacating by June 12. Move in date depends on if wife wants to strip wallpaper and paint before moving in... so either June 13, 14, or 15... I'm hoping for the 14th.Wife informed me yesterday that train room construction can commense as soon as we are settled!
Happy Friday morning from a grey and cold Chicago where I naturally chose a lighter coat and no gloves for my walk to work today - I'm always guessing wrong about the weather - even with the forecast. Hope everyone is healing.
Picked some a gajillion more wooden coffee stirrers to do something with... My sheath idea to create a freight motor on the shell of an existing trolley isn't working.

Hotel full of eniors [hey, they say I'm one now ] Speaking of west, NorthWest was the worse airlines I have flown in 3 years. Only one the pilot overshot runway and had to gun it and go around for another try [Bosie flight].

Im in the extreme N.E. Bay area, between S.F. and Sacto. Felling better, went and saw a different Chriopractor than I normally see. Popped me good, and took out tons of strees in lower back. Have a different pain today than what I've had. Part of the healing process. The meds are good for that. Should be back up flying again in a week or 2.

BUNNY EARS? We'll get the whole suit out for DA CHIEF!
Thanks guys.
Sitting here waiting to go the hospital. I will be put to during the procedure and then feel like the rest of the weekend. Looking forward to running the trains tomorrow.

Buckeye--
Enjoy the drugs and let the boss wait on you
These are words I didn't want to hear, the National Weather Service just said "we will have a significant weather event this weekend that we haven't had for several years", lovely. I tend to not believe the local weather guessers but when the NWS makes a statement like that it makes me listen. 1/2" of ice followed by 8" of the white stuff, sure hope they are wrong. Good reason to stay inside tomorrow and run trains. It's been a while.
Jon
So many roads, so little time.

Buckeye... best o' luck! I've heard stories about this procedure and every one of them has me buckling over in pain!Jon... I hear ya! We just got over a 'significant weather event' where we got some rain, then 6 inches of snow, then 1/2 inch of ice... it is FINALLY melting and Saturday night in to Sunday morning we are supposed to get more Ice and possibly snow... Someone has a sick sense of humor and I wish they would stop playing jokes! At least I'll have an excuse to spend some quality time with the misses...

I hear Mrs. Buckeye is slipping them money to keep you asleep. Good luck old Buddy. Get Mrs. Buckeye to give us an update as soon as you recover [if you don't beat her to the computer].
Windy and cool at Myrtle Beach. Came to room to get cough meds. Dry cough but cold is better. Later.
LAZ, lots of "Bunnies" next door as a Doll House is next door.
Good afternoon everyone,
I have been lurking, but only when I wasn't supposed to. These past weeks have been packed with academic work, as well as work around the house. The upstairs had hard wood oak floors put in, crown molding in my room and my parents room, chair rail in my parents room, and now both rooms are being painted. I have to start moving furniture out of my room so they can have access to all the walls. Funny thing is that everything that was taken out of my parents room was (is) stored in my room. Extra work.
We haven't received any news on my grandpop lately. He is staying with my sister and me while my parents go to Florida tomorrow. He is going to cook dinner for my friends and me, so they will be treated to a first class dinner. Bravarian Gulash (sp?), pasta (noodles made from scratch), sauce, homemade ice cream, and cookies. He knows how to cook, and is a lot better than I am, but he still likes the food I cook.
Anyway,
88, congrats on the new house. Train room sounds good. Your lucky that the misses game you permission to start soon after the move in.
I hope that everyone that is sick gets to feeling better soon. The sickness in our house has dissappeared. (Knock on wood!)
Oh yea, I got a new phone yesterday. I like it a lot. Lots of features.
I hope everyone had a good day.
Just spoke to the Chief who is on his way back to the store...
Buckeye is resting after the kidney stone was successfully pulverized.
Julia (Jim A's daughter) is back home after going to the hospital. She is still pretty ill with lots of stuff in her lungs - what her mom the nurse thinks is pneumonia and her ears 'impacted' with infection.
Keep 'em both in your prayers.

Thanks CHIEF, and DOUG, for the update on BUCKEYE, will run an extra few laps around the layout for him.
CHIEF, some GIZ have all the LUCK! ENJOY!!!!!

You had better get her to define what is meant by "settled in".

One smart YANKEE.
Going to the room. Slow night at BPS.
Add to our prayer list, Ben Onley. Was retired coach for high school down here. Went back to work [they called him back]. Suddenly got bad headache. Rushed to Charleston. Bleeding on the front of the brain. They do not know what caused it. Out of ICU now and in room. Can get up and walk some. Real shock to all down here [me too] as he coached everyone and their kids. A good buddy that I "hung out with" when at the store here.
Remember Julia. She has had a rough time this winter. Hope they can get this over and then do tubes and etc. to clear it up for good.
Cold better. Had bad dry cough all day until I came back to room. Took tussinex. No cough. May go to sleep before getting down the hall.
Microwave Popcorn time. Gooood night and God bless. [Dennis W, I need to talk to you about a place in Augusta]

My grandparents lived about the same distance from the tracks in Highspire PA. I loved to vist them. Used to spend hours in the back yard watching the mainline and the steam switchers work the yard next to the main line that served Bethlehem Steel's Steelton Plant. Between 55 & 60 years ago.
