Bruce, the lipotripcy is not fun and neither is the passing of the "sand" afterwards.  I will be drugged up.

I heard Red Green say that on a show(?), but then again I had heard minor league hockey announcers say that before him.  Recently the Jackets announcers said it,  EH.

Dang! If I don't read this thread at least twice a day it takes a long time to catch up.

Congradulations to the new Dad.  Happy Birthday to all celebrating the occasion.  For those that are not accustomed to snow covered roads, be careful.

Mom was from NE Ohio, Dennison High School also New Comberstown and Urichsville where we used to have family reunions.

Dennison has a very nice restored depot that houses a small museum.  Karen and I visited the museum a while ago.  Will try to go back this summer.  Occasionally, there are fan trips that start and end at the Dennison depot.  Went on one pulled by Ohio Central steam engine a number of years ago.

Got to quit procrasting and make decision whether to change my yard lead-in by eliminating it and ladder of lefthand 054 turnouts, then installing a Ross 4-way for longer, smoother transition and ability to easily move 8-drivered engines and articulateds into yard.

I had a Ross 4-way installed on my old layout.  I think they are well worth the money and the time invested to install.  Only issue was tracks ended up a little closer than I would have preferred.   Freight cars were pretty close to each other and wasn't real easy to pick up without bumping car on next track.

Now some not so good news.  Today I had and x-ray and they found an 8mm kidney stone.  Last summer the stone was only 5mm, so it has grown.  I will be heading to lipotripcy in a couple of weeks to have it blasted.  This will be my third time for lipotripcy and it is not fun.

See ya down the tracks,

Buckeye,  Hope the proceedure goes as easy as possible.  Is it the lipotripcy or the passing of the "rubble" afterwords that's not fun?  After suffering with gall stones I had the whole thing removed a number of years back.  Not an option when it comes to kidney stones though.

I'm uncertain if not knowing what the phrase means has to do with a lack of hockey south of the border or y'all don't know who Red Green is. Wink [;)]  Then again, does "south of the border" mean the US/Canadian border or the Mason/Dixon line? Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Nasty, nasty, NASTY in downtown Raleigh right now. The snow was nice and pretty until about 10:30 AM; now it has turned to a gross, misty, chill, rain. Uggh. I am going to go home early and work on my railroad yard scenery.

Got a huge media order yesterday from the Academy Awards, so going to Hollywood today for delivery.  Of course going to take a side trip to the Train Shack in Burbank.  A pretty good store bit pricey, but has lots of stuff.  Havn't been there in a couple of years.

Don, we need to get you to Akron, Ohio to see Glenn's Train Shop.  I would imagine it is just the opposite of what you would find in Burbank.

Jim, congrats on your new hardware, you'll find it quite a change. Buckeye, hope this all goes easy for you. Lots of SuperBowl craziness amongst our local media. I feel sorry for Miami.

For the rest of you.  I just ordered $200 of K-line operating accessories from JusTrains even though they were pretty picked over.  No NASA Van, No Speeder Shed, No Operating platforms, no log loaders.  Instead I ordered the Hammer guy, Carrossel, Rover's revenge, and earth mover construction scene along with Strasburg plymouth.  Can you tell I am on a kick adding moving animations to my layout?

Now comes the wait!!!!!!!!

Plus the How To Index thread got a sticky....yahoo!

Chief,

Stanley?  Stanley what?  Oh! The Cup!  Geez, as a Leaf fan we've practically given up on ever seeing that thing again!  We're getting pretty proud around here of our 40 year losing streak.

BTW.  You guys got the plastic, silver painted version of Lord Stanley's Cup.  Didn't think we'd let the real thing leave the country of it's rightful owners, did ya?  We know how fond you Rebs are about stealing shiney metal things...like locomotives, eh! Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

It is warming up here. Snow is melting. Sun is shining. Sky is blue. I have been in the train room and missed all the posts.

Dennison Depot has a great Polar Express train ride every year in Dec. They may have to cancel it this year, as Warner Bros. wants a bigger buck to use the name " Polar Express ". Greedy people.

Buckeye.... I hope you have success with the kidney stone removal.

Chief....How's the weather down South. Warm, sunny, 80 degrees ???

Well, thought I'd check in and cause chaos.

A Leaf's fan. Bow [bow] As a Blue Jacket's fan, I understand.  At least the Jackets did not move from a great hockey town, like Hartford.  Even though the Jacket's record is dismal we have a great crowd for the games. Last two home games were sell outs.

Can't stay away from this board for more than a few hours or it will take a long time to catch up.  First, Congratulations to Reggie and his bride.....we have been along for the ride for some time now and I know we will enjoy seeing her grow up on this site.  As for the trains, don't forget, they are like mental medicine when you have all the rest of life's problems and concerns.

RTHappy B-Day [bday], congratulations on the birthday.  I  had mine last month and the guys here are like family when it comes to digging a guy for getting older.  Wouldn't have it any other way.

Got a Email from Dr. John, has a lot on his plate and plans to stop in from time to time.

It was near 60F when I came to the hospital today, but started to pour down rain and I think the temps dropped off a bit.  I think the NC folks are getting more heading their way.  Of course they have the bright spot that at least it won't get as bad as it will in the north east.  Right now we have tornado watch till 10pm.  Heading home.

Reggie, wife just told me our 2yo daughter is at home with tights and a bikini top on....you have plenty of this to look forward to.

God Bless,
Dennis

Now, now Blueberry.  You should not make light of our good friends to the South plight with the weather.  Just because we consider their so called snowstorms a light dusting and they have never seen a blizzard with wind chills at -80 degrees (Ohio - 1978), making fun of their timidity, except for Lisa, to the snow, is not appropriate unless it is the CHIEF.   Then you can fire away. Reggie, glad to hear that mother and daughter are doing great.   Also, your posting about the stolen trains in Pennsylvania was interesting.  About three years ago, we had a case where thieves stole a trailer containing the local modular clubs layout.

For those awaiting delivery of the K-Line Collector Club engines I heard that they are being received, BUT I was also told that there are reports of them having a short life span.  The individual I heard from said his ran a while and it died.  Engine rest and attempting to reprogram, no label on switch for program/run, didn't help.  He had also talked to a few others that have had problems.
