Evenin' boys.  Just got back from the WALLY-MART, where Fifey's Wifey just got her SONY DSC H3 CYBERSHOT camera.  Nice outfit w/10X zoom and 8.1 megapixels.  Not totally sure what all that means, but I'm fairly confident my contributions to SPF will be "simply faaabulous". (2 finger snaps)

Nice to hear you FINALLY joined the 21st Century! Thumbs Up [tup] Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg] Now if we could get Chief to install running HOT water in his house we'd be cookin' with Napalm... or so they say...

10x Zoom is that optical or digital?  Means you get the equivalent of 100mm zoom telephoto lens.  8.1megapixels is the resolution of the image.  You can print up to 24 x 36 inch pictures without losing picture quality.  That's the resolution of my Rebel EOSxt, did it come with image stabilization?

88 - 10X optical zoom.  And "Steady shot" stabilization.  The SONY had a little more heft than the similar class of CANON, 20% slimmer, but still had a nice mechanical feel to it.

And, this is Ms Kelly's digital, not mine.  I still shoot K-64 with my trusty EOS REBEL.  But, bless her, she wants to see how much more crisper layout photos will be with her new baby.Thumbs Up [tup]  She's already wanting to go to WV to take some scenery shots.

I use a Sony CyberShot  - had it over a year - 6.0 megapixels, 12x zoom. You will like this camera a lot.

Ordered an MTH Premier PRR Decapod tonight and will have TMCC installed.  It will be close to trout season by the time it gets here.  Looking forward to seeing my son who is away at school but returning for a few days over the long weekend.  I have to watch the border war between Mizzou and KU Sat night.  I graduated from 2 MU campuses and live in Kansas City, MISSOURI!  So I will have to try and defend the border this weekend.  Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving.

Morning!

Coffee's fresh again this am!

Hope to glue up the foam and run wiring Christmas layout today!  Bride will be taking eldest to prep for Thanksgiving dinner at friends home.  Youngest to stay home with me to make cranberry walnut torte.

Able to peek in all the packages last night...Sigh [sigh]  no trains.  She may have left something in the friend's car...she did with the eldest's toys.  She pulled them out after she found out she was still sleeping.  She did come home with the low voltage light bars for the Dept 56 houses!  No more 1-1/4" holes for the plugs!  She also bought the City Sledding Hill!

RT, Pennvalley:  I have a feeling I'll be right there with you on the meds...We'll know in a few weeks...at least this stuff is controllable.

It's early here and it's time for Mr. T to do his 24 hour bath in the bucket of brine so he can smoke tomorrow. Should be a fun day as the final prep begins, youngest son rolls in tonight from St. Paul and oldest son's family tomorrow morning. We are so thankful for family.

We are also right on the edge of 1-3" of the white stuff, ugg. I think the ground is still warm enough that it won't matter (famous last words). We've been spoiled this fall with wonderful weather, two days ago I had a nice 38 miles motorcycle ride in 71 degree weather, today is another matter.

Thomas is waiting for my best buddy, right in the middle of piano room floor, can't wait.

Hope everyone has a safe and Happy Thansgiving.

Mornin' boys.  Mornin' Chief. Say "cheese."  Partly cloudy and 46 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  S'posed to get up to 65.  Lassie doesn't know it yet but he's getting a bath later on.  7 bags of leaves yesterday, and overnight it doesn't look like I raked a thing.  Listening to Planet Christmas radio this morning, getting me in the holiday state of mind.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a partly cloudy 60 degrees. I see a little blue sky. Going up to 70 today, with a slight chance of rain later.

Today is the day that I drive up to Cambridge for groceries. Gas is still high at $3.09 a gallon. Believe it or not, food prices have dropped in this area. That's an improvement. No time for trains again. Maybe tomorrow, I will get some quality train time.

Dining Car is here and breakfast is ready. Later.

Y'all have a great Wednesday,

Chuck

Good morning all,

It is cloudy and still mild in SE Indiana with temps in the 60s, but rain, colder temps and maybe SNOW is on the way.  Doug M., you can keep the snow up north.  I was busy last night as I cleaned the gutters and the bathrooms, helped with dishes, went to the YMCA for some track work (just walking, but at a good pace), and watched "Dancing with the Stars".  I saw where Helio advanced to the finals and I got to see one of my favorite singers, Avril Lavigne, do two songs.  Michael Flatley of "Riverdance" and "Lord of the Rings" performed as well.  It was a good evening.  I had just the usual fare on the dining car this morning as I see it has already been to "Points East".  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Good Morning - Hope everyone has a Happy Turkey Day!!

Finished installing my AC Power line last night.  Put in a Panic Switch at the opposite end of the layout as well.  Probably really dont need it since all the hand held have the HALT button.  But, it still makes me nervous when something happens and the layout gets a short or something.  Like that power off immediately.

Looking forward to the weekend, but limited train time.  Thur - family, Friday - Outside Decorations, Sat - Inside Decorations, Sunday - work 3/4 day, ugh.

Chuck at Mizells really helped me a lot.  A month a go I had them replace the thumbwheel in a DCS controller, this month ordered a speaker from him, and it should be here Friday.  Mth (Midge) was very responsive as well to call I made on Monday, but the price is the same and Mizells is a lot closer.

Those of you that have the new CTT, was anything said about the TMCC/DCS compatibility issue from last 2 months and the toggle switches??

Off to work, maybe get off early!

The Weather Channel sure is messed up here!  They are announcing our area is under a Flood Warning!  We havn't seen any rain in months!  Nowhere around either!  Somebody must be washing a car or left the sprinklers on!

Glad I'm not flying anywhere out of Atlanta's airport today.  Last I heard, about an hour ago, security waits were up to 2 hours. Shock [:O]  Also, they were running out of parking space.

Roger, we are heading that way in the morning.  I plan to leave dark early as I figure the traffic will be quite bad.  We are supposed to have a good chance of rain too, so that will only add to the issues.  Hope to get by the store on Friday.  If you are there, it will be great to meet you.

Got some issues with the dog.  Will be taking him to the vets at 11am and hope to get him taken care of...he's a good one.  We were going to let him have the run of the place while we are away, but will leave him at the vets in case.

I hate coming here with yet another issue.  Don't want to start sounding like a certain shyster who took us for a ride awhile back.

Anyway, hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving and travelling mercies to all with places to go.

Dennis

Beautiful bright sun shine day in North Florida. Rain possible tomorrow. Trying to clean house. Getting started on prepping the turkey for tomorrow. Going to the airport (ugh) to pick up sister-in-law who is flying in from the Big Apple. Arrival is 6:00 P.M. so will be in evening rush hour traffic. Haven't had much chance to run trains. Level four in train room was dead the other night and didn't have time to check where the problem was. Need to do laundry this weekend as well. Hope everyone has a great holiday.

Work???? No I don't work...Laugh [(-D]  I just have to stay at home with the kids, and cook, clean, wash dishes, shopping, bills, yardwork...and other duties as assigned.  My wife works enough for both of us; 10-14 hours a day.

I'm usually up with the youngest between 4:00 and 4:30am.  She wakes up for a bottle (still) and goes back to sleep.  I can't get back to sleep after I've been up for a half-hour feeding her.  She'll be back up for the day about 6:00am, and the eldest is usually up by 7:00am.

Hurray! The office will close early today.
Boo! The automatic doors won't lock until 6.
Hurray! Someone else will stay to watch the doors.
Boo! There aren't any trains home until 225.
Hurray! I'll go early and buy the new Model Railroader to see Rod Stewart's layout.
Boo! It's pouring rain and I'll get wet.
... This could go on.
