He will not. Someone or ones ran him off. Sorry.
That's too bad - he's a nice fellow. Too bad some folks just seem so intent to being second to none in the annoyance department.
I have seen Dr. John more and more at MTJ lately.
HI GIZ,
cold here at 33 to get to 44? BRO and me going for pheasants again today hope to get two more? Then last outside fire for the year? Dogs and burgers tonite.
CHIEF, you are right on about the mower and bagger. I raked first year bought my house, never again, took out 9 truckloads o leaves. NowI just suck em up. Best investment I made.
Ran my BB last nite. Had friend come over with his train, he needed to put on a traction tire, so I put it on. Had a BIG derailment with the BB. One of my birch trees fell in the path of the BB. Which drug it down the tracks and cut off one of the natural trees I have before jumping the tracks and nocking over a lite standard. No one was hurt and NO damage to the BB. FWEEW!Have a good one,laz57

sir james I wrote:Lisa- Did you give him a hunting cap with the antlers on it so he could blend in?
Sir James - that's a good idea for Christmas!! He has enough camo gear he could hide out forever! He has several hunting "Boxes" that we built and cammo'd and a couple of ground blinds so he is well concealed.
He bagged an 8 pointer last night. That's the 2nd one in the freezer this year!! It's about time to make some jerky too.

No new trains or train related items, Naturestone floor will be able to walk on in a few days will try to post pic of basement floor soon.
Buckeye, are you ready to run the Buckeye express on a victory lap?
Hope I have not been a major anoyence here on the coffe pot.
Colin, since Mayor's job is so much, basicly retiring from Pro Mariner. Will still do a couple. BPS says they are going to do all their Spring Fishing events in 4 weeks nation wide. That means Pro Mariner has to get a lot of guys to work at one time. Have not seen the schedule. Pictures, you didn't see where some Yankee at US Airways in CT stole my camera.
Lisa, deer jerky!!!! Wildlife Officer partner of mine use to bring deer jerky to our "set up" while we were patroling for night deer hunters. Good stuff. Good to have while fishing too.

Good morning from New England!
The rain has gone and the skies are clear. It's going to be a chilly one today. Good day to head to the train show. But may stay home and tend to a sick kiddo while the rest of the family goes to the Santa parade. Then it's church followed by a dinner party at our home with a large gathering of good friends. More train show tomorrow. Then Patriot's football game.
We seem to have 2 choices regarding the pot thread and the forum. We can either continue down this divisive road of this one ignoring that one, and tossing veiled vitriol back and forth, or we can work together to right the ship and get back to being the best toy train community on-line. Personally, I'd prefer to take the latter approach. The former isn't working to solve anything. I feel that there is reason for ALL of us to evaluate why we come here each day and what we as individuals can do to make this a friendly, welcoming place for ALL to talk toy trains. If we ALL want this forum to be what it once was, we can do it. And once again, CTT's 3 rail forum will be second to none.
I encourage positive discourse. Please share ideas, concerns and suggestions in a polite way. But if you just want to spew venom, be sarcastic or nasty, please save it. Enough is enough is enough.
The time has come, people. Today is a brand new day. What's it going to be?
I can be reached via CTT private meassage only this weekend. I do not open emails at home. If anyone has issues you'd like to discuss off-line, please contact me with a PM.

Hey guys, gotta go do scouts thing, but wanted to post and say howdy. Sir James - back atcha!
TMCC MAN - The xbox360 is on hold until I get the playroom finished in the basement and a new tv set. SWMBO has spoken. S'okay, I'll get it in a few months and by they they will have a newer and better configuration I'll bet. In consolation, I'm getting an MTH 4-6-0 steamer set for Christmas I found on sale since outer box was ripped up, but contents were a-okay. Should be really great and can't wait!
Sir James and Lisa, I'm thinking of that movie Better Off Dead now, where the wife gives her husband a fur jacket for Christmas that includes the head of some animal on the hood?! He hates it, but the goes outside and the neighbor is mad because he's wearing the same jacket?!
Where's Mitch?
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Yep - However, he is restricted to hunting on the ground only - no tree stands this year.
But you are still letting him use live ammunition??????? Oh, well, there is still a slim chance he might get a deer before the deer gets him.
Why aren't you out there in the woods helping collect food for the family? Is your freezer still full with opossum and ground hog?

Colin,
I am going to get Ace Combat 6 and maybe the new Tomb Raider. I played COD2, and I didn't really care for it. Silent Hill 5 and Burnout Paradise are coming out after Christmas, and then GTA in March.
CSXect wrote: Buckeye, are you ready to run the Buckeye express on a victory lap?
Wes owns the Buckeye express, so I suppose he has it all fired up for a lap or two. BTW, that is one neat train set and the sounds are great.

Yankee part was a JOKE, Colin
Also, with this bad neighbor who screams during the night and plays his drums as loud as he can during the day. I have learned to IGNORE noises I do not like. As Jack said to Walter in Grumpy Old Men, pull your lip over your head and swallow.

Unless he is talking about yours truly.
Colin - You have a fantastic memory. Yep you sure are right. I had a problem with the MTH BB last spring. It went back to MTH, received it back and it has been great. Not only have I had a problem with BB's, but have a broken speaker wire in another. UGH !!
I have a MTH AC4400cw Diesel. Got it in April, new! Its been great, until this past Friday. Then went mute. Really acted like a battery issue. However, this is what I found out last night. Went to a neighboring LHS, and they had replacement batteries for $10, (even on sale for $8. So got one and they installed it. But it didn't go well. The original battery connector had a crack and therefor the pin would not stay in place. Ok new battery takes care of that. Wrong, the speaker was still erratic at best. Of course the wire from the magnet to the paper was loose. They tried to solder it to no avail. (magnet side of course) So now looking at- -Feasible to bond wire w/adhesive? (steel wire, I doubt that the adhesive I have is conductive.) - See about getting speaker from MTH. - Just sending it to MTH for warranty. (Shipping cost probably more than speaker cost).
With all that I don't know why, but going to try to work on a Control panel this weekend.
Hope everyone has a good weekend !!!!
Don
Well, the coffee has gone cold, apparently. And the day had such promise. Perhaps tomorrow it will taste better.
mitchelr - Please rinse the cups out really good before you make a new pot in the morning.
Sir James - Since you tend to be our night owl, could you kindly shake the front mat and turn the lights off before you turn in?

Colin -
We definetly identified the problem, the wire is messed up AT the speaker. I just have to determine weather or not I want to go through the warranty process, or do repair myself.
