It realy runs great, one of the few steamers that I have that will start out at 1 on the DCS control. And for the nit pickers, yes they are the Jersey Alps in the background.

Thanks FRANK, I have been using a dish soap container to add the glue to the ballast. But I can see where that hair dye applicator would work great. Kinda burnt out on laying all that for the last three nites, going to take a few nites off then come back and go at it, but thanks again for the great idear. I'll post pics on friday?

No big surprise here. The only thing Homeland Security seems to be able to do well is to overspend, misappropriate, and investigate things that are totally irrelevant. I used to work for the government....it's reasons like this that I left.

Jon - the other way around. She has me broken in. I have learned to obey. After 31 years in a female dominated elementary school culture, you learn a lot. And I'll leave it at that.....

Dewey, I can't thank you enough for helping me fill the extra 47 minutes I had in my schedule over the course of the next two months.

MAN OH MAN!!! NOW you CAN'T go Jim. With advice like that, I may actually get THROUGH Valentines day. I need MORE of your sage wisdom, so I may get more time for ME and keep me out of the doggie house.
PLEASE say you'll STAY!!!

Good afternoon all,
It is sunny and in the teens in SE Indiana. It took me over two hours to get home yesterday and it did not look like the roads would be much better today so I took a personal day. We had waffles this morning in the dining car. We watched "Veronica Mars" last nigh, and Lost is on tonight. I had to shovel some of the walks this morning and I will head out to the YMCA later. I did some more building today, but mostly took it easy. I have got to figure out how to post pictures. I hope Chief's mom gets better. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana

No problem, Chuck. Hey, it's nice to find out who your friends are, huh? "Don't let the door hit you . . .", "clean up your act . . .". Nice. And I thought this forum was the kindest.
I hope everything works out ok for the Chief's mom.

Thanks, Jim.
ouch - had wondered where he was. Hope this all works out as well as it can.

Good afternoon,
Three pages again since my last post, can't keep up.
Another cool one here. Interesting pics on TV of cars in Chicago froozen in place due to a water main break, didn't look like my idea of fun at all.
Pulled up the three Atlas switches in the back of the layout, which can't be reached without getting up on the table. Had an intermitent problem with engines stalling, not at the center rail gap but on the section from frog to end of switch. I think I found the problem, loose screw where jumpers are fastened on the bottom. While I have them up I am taking the oportunity to add some more feeders and jumpers to avoid problems in the future. At least I hope so.
We had about an inch of snow this morning, so I declared a holiday at the musuem and stayed home, that's why I am working on the layout. Hate driving on snowy roads, to many idiots out there. Bunch of accidents on TV with only an inch of snow!
Temp was 15 this morning, didn't look since but not warming up much. Seven day forcast shows only one day with a high of freezing, everything else below freezing night and day. I am ready for a little break.
Jim, You better clean up your act or they will ban you over there, those OGR guys are tough.
Laz, When are we going to see some pictures?
Well back to the switch project, about half way there.
CONGA. JIM, what di you win? For #3000?

one less FasTrack Girlie-Man to tip-toe around.

Well, here it is,
Very cold here this week. The only thing keeping me warm is knowing my 2056 is ready to come home. It's currently at Dr. Tinker's house, right down the street from here. Too cold to go and get it! I'll pick it up on Friday.
Frank53, don't get your shorts in a bunch. I'm just saying your photos are a bear to view. It wouldn't be a big deal to me except that I love seeing photos of your layout!
The Chief and his buddy are most likely roaming around the NC woods with guns doing their best Deliverance immitations right about now. Squeal like a pig, boy . . .
There are a lot of great people on this forum, especially the Chief. It's been my pleasure to know you all. I've learned a lot, and have had quite a bit of fun in the process. Thanks, guys!
And finally, thank you, Morgan Fairchild for the greatest night of my life!!!
See you all on the OGR board!
