Ready to go to the store.  Dennis had told me that the CTT cars and truck were out for ordering.  John gave us the site to click on.  Thanks guys.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a sunny 24 degrees. Going up to 50 today with sun all day. That's a good start for Spring.

Today, we have a few chores to do around the house. Then, I will watch the NASCAR race from Las Vegas. Maybe run trains later. Been slowly putting scenery on layout. I have a plan for roads. Working on the Dairy parking lot. I need to make a sign for it.

It looks like the 20th anniversary CTT truck is available. Csxt30 John ..posted a thread on this. Thanks, John !!!!!!!!!

Daylight savings time starts today. Set your clocks ahead.

Well, the Dining Car has arrived and it's time for breakfast.

Y'all have a great Sunday.

Mornin'---hey, where is everybody?  Sleepy heads!  Sunny and mild here in the Mid-Atlantic.  Can you sing with me, We're having a heat wave, a tropical heat wave!  Or, How you feeling! HOT-HOT-HOT!  Or,  Hot Town, summer in the city, back of my neck getting warm and gritty!

tmcc - chin up, boy.  Spend some quality time with him.

wrmcclellan - I live at the top of a hill, and I've always categoried leaves into 2 classes: GOOD leaves (the ones that blow down the hill and into my neighbors yard) and BAD leaves (the ones that don't have ambition enough to leave home).

88 - too bad you don't live in the CAROLINAS,  you could save money on your furniture needs by just going behind the local PIGLEY-WIGLEY and picking up some tomato crates.

dbaker48 - you missed a spot.

Well, it's Sunday, so propbably won't be reading any posts from the HOLY ROLLERS...

Evening / Morning all,

Got to love night shift, sleep during the day so often not knowing wether coming or going!

Colin, prayers for your Grandpop.  Not much time to work with trains today (yesterday??)  Won't do much till Monday when I'm off again.

I've been thinking of doing some detailing, on the layout.  Sort of taking a small section, then developing it, kind of like what I did with the gas station, maybe over by the coaling tower, any ideas?

Prayers to all who need them and thanks for all prayer answered

Colin - sorry to hear about your Grandfather. We hope all does well.

Spent entire day doing the yard - mulching many bushels of leaves. My house is at the end of a circle and faces a park to the west. So guess what - all the leaves from the park and all neighbors on the block end up in my yard and my neighbors when the wind comes from the northwest (Which is all winter). The wife spent the day doing the indoors spring cleaning.

Nothing but weeds growing. This past winter killed a lot of the grass. We'll see what happens.

Watching the Rolling Stones Rock & Roll Circus on PBS. Excellent.

Have a great evening all!

Regards, Roy

Hi GIZ,

Long day from yesterday till today had to go to sis in laws to help move stuff around and get them situated.  Then came home and later today went looking for materials with wife for redo of bathroom(next this summer).  Went to Lowes didn't have what wife wanted.  Went to Home Depot and bingo.  Had all the Swanstone that she wanted for shower and sink.  Costing an arm and a leg?  But she gets what she wants so that might mean more train STUFF for me?  Came home went out to eat then ran trains for two hours, NO PILE UPS, great night.

88 there is a guy in Harrisburg that probably would have Mahogony his name is LAFFERTY LUMBER CO.  we sometimes deal with him good GIZ.  I don't know number but do a search.

Have a good one.

Chief, glad you are having lots of success in your post retirement job.  At this rate, you will need to re-retire.  They seem to be working you a bit much these days.  Make sure you take a little down time to enjoy the life.

Colin, sorry about your Grandfather.  My Dad has had Cancer and had the seeds planted.  With a minor surgery and the meds, he came through just fine.  I hope that it goes as well for your Grandad.  Will say some prayers.

Everyone remember to set your clocks ahead tonight, you don't want to be late for early church.  Anyway, it has been a busy day with running around with the kids.  Wife felt a bit better this afternoon so she went out planting flowers, I swept the pine straw and cones up and had a burning session tonight.  It was just too hot to burn this afternoon.  I believe it was over 80.  Could have used a little of Kevin's open door cooling down here.

Anyways, y'all take care now,

Dennis

Evening all.  Been waiting 45 minutes to use computer.  Some middleschool kids were on it.  Seems some Rugby [boys and girls] team is here in hotel.  Obviously on one is looking after them as they are all over the place.  If they are not careful, there will be little rugbies in 9 months.  Tired.  Sold lot more chargers.

BTW: got email from Spankybird [Tom] and said his comupter crashed.  Someone needs to start the Sunday Photo.

GOOOOOOOD NIGHT.

Colin,
I am over at my father-in-laws, he gets his Sunday paper on Saturday - that still dumbfounds me... any way in the Parade Magazine on page 18 there is an article on Prostate Cancer... it is rather informative... if you don't get it, let me know I'll mail it to you.

Good afternoon from beautiful, warm and sunny Roger's Corners!

I'm HOME!!!!  Wow, what a week of travel!  Just returned from meetings in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Tired, too.  For the first time in over a month, snow is missing from my front yard.  The front is shaded from the sun by the house, so it lingers.

I need to run some trains.

Colin, I sure am sorry to hear about your Grandfather.

Thank you guys very much for all of the support. As of now, we do not know if it has spread, and hopefully it won't. He has always been positive, and I have never seen him once down, ever. He is my Hero. My Hero, no one elses. I love him to death.

We do know that they will insert the seeds in his prostate, and then we will see what happens from there.

Well, a little better news.

I just finished this a few minutes ago. It will be for my Garden Railroad. It was made with very small nails, with glue for extra strength. I still have to paint it, as well as the wheels. It is going to be a load for a flatcar that I am ordering soon.

Good afternoon all,

It is sunny and mild in SE Indiana with temps in the 50s today.  We watched "Close to Home" and "Numb3rs" last night.  The streets of Greensburg are no longer safe!   Lucas has his license!!!  He took the SAT this morning and he is hanging out with his friends this afternoon.  We did housework this morning and I have some outside activities this afternoon.  I did sleep in this morning so I missed the dining car.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Doug,
Wow you got off easy!  My wife has decided she needs:

Living Room:
Couch
Chair
Ottoman

Family Room:
Couch
Chair
Ottoman
Rocker/Recliner
Coffee Table
2 End Tables

All I wanted was the couch, chair, and ottoman for the Family room... I'm trying to convince her to let me build the end tables and coffee table.  I want to build an entertainment center for the big screen TV, she isn't thrilled about that idea either... I know what I want, and I've not been able to find what I want, so I figure 'Build it... They will come...'

Colin,
Your grandfather will be in my prayers!  Hopefully the cancer has not spread to other organs, if it has not then removal of the prostate should clear it up.  Keep us updated on his progrnosis, how are his spirits?  Is he positive?  If so, and he stays that way, he'll do fine!  I know it's tough, but stay positive, you being there for him and showing your support will mean the world to him right now.

God Bless.

Colin, sorry our posts crossed.  I'm very sorry to hear that, but I've seen cases with stage 6 (? Gleason Score 6) that were cured by surgery etc.  Has it spread, or is it still just in the prostate?  God bless you and your family and grant your grandad the best care possible.

MOrning guys.  So this Gathering....  If you hear the Chief muttering There Can Be Only One and he pulls out an old Cavalry Saber, you better Keep Your Heads About You and get your Grits Out of There Fast!  (cue Highlander music - Who Wants to Live Forever!) Wink [;)]

Just got done watching Steamboy.  The rest of the family faded and left, but I stuck through to the end.  Pretty good scifi with lots of cool retro-tech steam power.  No real moral, it's just way to complex of a story and good guys are a little bad and bad guys are a little good etc.

Tom (SPANKYBIRD) - what did you use to attach the wood to that old Marx water tower?  Super glue???

Good morning from a sunny and warming Crystal Lake where I am recovering (similar to Brent) from an evening of furniture shopping. Fortunately, I escaped with the bride only buying a couch... I'm trying to round up someone to go to the DuPage train show nee swap meet tomorrow. Tonight my wife's college roomate shows up for dinner with her husband and kids - ugh. Well, maybe I can interest the boys in the trains.

Good Morning everyone.  Watching "This Old House", it has become my 4yo son's favorite show.  Wife is under the weather and I have a birthday party to bring my kids to, so little if any train work today.

ATSJer, As I recall, it took a few weeks before I started to get my CTT.  This is of course subject to a number of things.  One is that the CTT is not monthly per se, but that it comes out 9 times per year, so depending on when you joined, it may be a few weeks, or better than a month.  The best thing would be to call the customer service, they are  fantastic.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Dennis

PS: I am not sure which seminary my SS teacher was a professor at, but will check.
