Beautiful day in Ohio. Spent a lot of time outside. Except to watch the Indians win the Central Div. Championship. That was a great game. There will be cupcakes for a long time.
I hope everyone is having a nice day.
Chuck

HI GIZ,
Great day here at about 78. Took dog for a nice 4 miler this morning, great run, dog loved her swims at local creek. She jumped in 3 times and loved every bit of it. Later in the day visited with neighbor he made me drink a few beers with him.
Came home and ran trains for an hour. Ran Lionmaster Big BOY all ran good NO PILE UPS. Watched DA BEARS tie game, at 10-10. TRIBE WINS!!! IN DA PLAYOFFS!!! ALL IS GOOD WITH DA WORLD!!!!!!
Good nite,
laz57
Howdy folks - well, my neighbor cut my cable/phone/internet this afternoon. He was working on his lawn using a tiller. Cable guy is coming tomorrow and has to have house access so they can test and work on the phone and internet modems, etc. So, I'll have to take off and hang out with Chewy. Luckily, one of my neighbors has a wireless network that is not secured, so I could do emails!
Chuck M - I think Dave meant an obstruction in the coil or something, not in the duct work? Oh well, it was worth a try and I hope you get it fixed for low $$$. I hope Sir James leaves you a couple cupcakes! If you don't mind, could he drop a couple off here later? I did the grocery shopping today and apparently I forgot to buy some essentials - D'oh! Never fear, plenty of popcorn and chips to go around.

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Evening all
At work on break. This is the last nightshift for this rotation.. Man am I glad. Got off this morning after being up 22 straight hours. Hit the bed and slept 8 hours so feel pretty good. Going to help with a funeral in the morning so it will be about 1 p.m. before I can get some sleep. The funeral is for a priest friend who was 85. A real saint among the living. The wake was a real celebration. A model to follow for living one's faith.
Chuck- Sounds like low refrigerant to me. I would not let them sell you a new compressor until they prove it is not just low on R-134. Running low may trash the unit, but it may need topped off, especially this late in the season.
Doug- Warm shower to loosen up, and an advil. My best Rx.
Here's some more Glacier shots. If you get bored with them let me know.
May God bless
Jim
Here is a Right Track software copy of Level 3 in the train room
The Bascule Bridge is in grid blocks 6 and 7 along the South Wall.
The Rotary Coal Tipple starts on the diagonal 8 grid blocks down and 2 and 3 blocks to the right from the South wall.
When I get things cleaned up and put away, I'll post pictures so you can see how things fit-or are jammed together-whichever seems most appropriate.
Have a good week. My night classes start tomorrow(Monday and Tuesday) and then Saturday mornings. Each class is 4 plus hours in length. Elementary Statistics

Good evening all,
IIABSDISEI with temps in the 90s again. Went to the family gathering today and survived that. Helped son work on paper. Had bran muffins on the dining car this morning. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,

I noticed in a previous post when you were talking about vandals misappropriating someone else's property, you became very indignant and said something to the effect that you have "old school" values. Exactly what did you mean by that?
Talked with our gal Lisa tonight for a while on the tellephone. Was good to hear her voice for a change instead of reading her words just something about listening to a lady with a southern draw just melts you especially if your from YANKEEVILLE. Stop blushing LISA .
Have to drain my hot water heater tomorrow and replace the element in it. (Thank goodness it just has one ( at least I know which one it is lol) Yes its 220 but being a mobile home water heater it only has one. The only real pain in this is 1 draining it have to make a hole for hose 2. Its all the way in the back of the closet so everything must come out. did look at it the night befor last and the tank looks great no sign of any rust so its just the element I hope. as I'am still geting power to the element just not heating so I believe the thermostate is at least working (hope not stuck in on position and that caused it to burn element out)
Then going to take it easy for next two days might put up some shelves to display some of my trains on. I figure my 2343 and 6 passenger cars comes out to just over 11 feet in legnth If I'm thinking right

47 and nice here to get to 82?
ROY, OUCH we took it on DA CHIN, from the COWGIRLS. Seems like its gonna be a long season?
All have a good one.
Morning!
Hey how 'bout them hapless Lions? Sir James: Good choice on the nap. I could only stomach about 15-minutes of that in the 4th quarter. Go Tigers! Tigers vs. Tribe for all the cheese?
Working on neighbors tractor...won't start. Bench tested starter...nothing...off to search for a new one. Will have to start fall outdoor cleaning today. Hickories and Oaks dropping nuts all over the place. Good thing I have a 2-1/2-YO that thinks she is part squirell. I'm glad she doesn't carry those things in her cheeks.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a cool, 50 degrees. Going up to 90 today, with sunshine. Fall is looking like it is here.
Today is a busy day. I have some phone calls to make and a few chores around the house. Need to find a good A/C repairman. I had one come out, a few years ago. Did a good job. Thanks for all the tips, Guys.
No time for trains today. Wish I did. Plenty of time in the cold months ahead.
Dining Car has arrived and is serving breakfast. Later.
Y'all have a great Monday.
Thanks again,
I looked at the index, but just decided to go through the indices of all the issues until I found it (did this while watching Ken Burns The War) . The article and issue was Bringing Back a Big Berk, a two parter from way back in December 1997/January 1998. Time flies; it seemed like yesterday.

Hey... another hot n humid one here, up to 88
Spent Saturday at the LHS tried to fix some engines. Looks like I'll need to find a way to troubleshoot some Railsounds tenders. There is this one that just won't work, Found a broken wire and still no go. Have some "NEW" ZW problems also.
Yesterday was homework day for the younger one. Then Momma had to take her shopping, so very little got done. Should make it up tonight (I hope). Nothing new on the train front, however. I'm going to try to get some more work done. Then I have to get going on the train to work day layout....any ideas? It's a 4X6 that I couldn't use so I've planned for an outer loop with Fastrack and an inner loop with tubular. 1 post war & 1 "newer" railsounds/trainsounds engine. Then on to the Christmas layout (THAT should be interesting...!)
Wish I could be in Jersey for those little "seminars"!
Be Safe out there!Rich
PS Jim/Phish...nice pictures..love the Eagle!

Morning. Mel, rotary coal tipple takes up monster room. Hope it works for you. I sold mine as it would actually take a whole benchwork. Might work if you cut a hole in the benchwork and make it flush with coal dumping below the benchwork. Guess you could run tressle set around the outside and get it high enough. Good luck.
Could not sleep this morning. Up early. Nothing to do until around 9:30. Suppose to be there until 10 PM. Can't believe it lasts that long. They usually last only a few hours. Would think most dealers will come in the AM and then go. Interesting.
News media really kills me some time. Fox just said, "An entire Boy Scout troop has VANISHED in the NC mountains." Serious but vanished??? Especially with a strong expression on vanished. Hope they come marching in this AM. That area is at Fontana Lake [big thing on that on History Channel] and the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. Rough and remote country.
Later
Good morning, Chief and every body;
The diagram is a close approximation to what I have built. I did have to do a drop in the bench work to make the Tipple fit. Hope everyone has a good week.
Mornin' boys. Sunny & 70's here in the Mid-Atlantic region.
tmcc - Hey, whadayano. I'm out today with a right knee strain (too many stairs in my recent past, me thinks). Something just gave out---hope it just goes back in...
Prairietype - I thought THE WAR didn't have the same umpf that Burns' CIVIL WAR had. Interesting, but didn't grab me.
GOOD MORNING FOLKS,
Brutus- The cupcakes are on the front porch with frosting, I threw in a bag of chips, don,t want to be the only one with a big belly.
The sun is up, near 85 today, boy are we pushing our luck.
Me thinks some Lionels may run today. No critics I have other brands as well. Reg,. gas is still $2.98 gal.

The War showed footage, stories and perspectives I've never seen on any other program, History Channel, etc., to date. I'm looking forward to the next installment.
Good morning all,
IIABSDISEI with temps in the 80s. Taking the day off as I have a dental appointment at 1 PM, and driving two hours for a half day of work makes no sense to me. I did have waffles and sausages for breakfast this morning. I hope everyone has a good day.
A southern scondral made a comment on another thread....
Can't get layout work done if you hangout in topless bars!!!!!
Hmmm.... That just wouldn't work at all, I think most of them are politically correct now, and there are too many guys performing. Remember, I'm in California. Went to San Diego a week ago, stopped at a Rest Area on the way back to get a cup of coffee. The only thing they had was cupachino (sp?), there were 3 flavors though. And this was in vending machines! All the coffee choices had been duct tapped over. A guy was there servicing the machines, and said they do not offer coffee anymore!! I was NOT a happy camper. Did notice that most of the trucks outside were trimmed in pink and had curtains hanging in the sleepers. Couldn't get out of there quick enough.
Got call from wife this morning, she is in Laramie, with threats of snow! I thought she might turn around and head back, but they are pressing on toward Wisc.. It actually may be warmer there.
Worked this weekend on relaying out track. Significantly changed it. I think it is a lot better, provides for much more acess area and still affords the same functionality. The only problem is I'm not sure I understand it yet. I was running a couple of trains to ensure clearance and before I knew had a head on collision all set up. Since I dont have the switch motors wired up yet, have to run around throwing them manually. Forgot 1. It will definetly be a fun plan to operate on, lots of alternatives.
Tonight will get the engine yard done, (dishes can wait, we have plenty and a big sink). I need to get a engine house put together so I get the track seperation and alignment correct. So will do that today at the office.
Glad to hear the Boy Scouts in NC were found and not lost to long. Maybe they need to enlist the help of a couple of Brownies or Indian Guides on future campouts?
