Well back home again...  I had to cover a guy whos father passed away.  Sort of made my being pissed about going dumb. They got someone to come in for me yesterday.  Just signed up for CTT subscription after they sent me a email.  Seems like more and more I buy it anyways.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Just got back from Montgomery with my new Toyota Tacoma. Great truck! I think I'm going to enjoy it. Took the wife to Cheeburger-Cheeburger for lunch - love their onion rings!

Son's home for the weekend, so we're catching up and watching football together. Bama beat Vandy and Auburn plays South Florida tonight.

Picked up a nice little prewar American Flyer O station off the 'bay. The lithography is still in great shape with just a tiny bit of rust at the base. If I can put together a Christmas layout this year, I'll try to talk the bride into going with my tin building collection rather than the Dept. 56. That will be a tough sell, though.

Enjoy your Saturday, everyone.

I've never recommended using brake fluid as a paint stripper on plastic. Simple green or Superclean would be my recommendations.

Just back from an afternoon of bopping about to different stores. At Barnes and Noble, I bought OGR, and then at the train store, the boys bought Thomas toys while I asked the girl behind the counter where my pre-ordered stuff was - delivered in April.

Wifey was in a bad mood this morning (she's feeling fat) so after I got my belly full of that, I went to the basement to run trains. I ran an entire set from 1952, led by a little 2034. She came down to make nicey, but I just kept running my trains. Maybe I'll skip the church picnic tomorrow and run more trains. Can't wait for Monday...

Good afternoon all,

It is hot and humid in SE Indiana, but it looks as if it could rain big time, which we could use.  A very disappointing week ended this morning as "my" soccer girls looked absolutely pathetic in a 5-0 loss.  I did ref an easy game this afternoon.  I went out to the YMCA and did weights even though I did not want to.  The dining car had bacon and biscuits.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

I've got $5 on Yes for 53 x 10....!  Dr. John, very sorry and prayers for the family.  Laz is back running, so I guess all is right with the world again. JohnS, glad to hear that Chuck fixed your window!  Hi Mitch, Marty, and all the rest I usually miss.  Couldn't get online last night due to thunderstorms.  Was gonna prime the windows tomorrow, but now we have rain coming back on Monday and Tuesday - maybe Wednesday night...  RT, I remember Chief and somebody else had used something they got at the LHS to remove paint, maybe that's that SUPERCLEAN?  Simple Green concentrated eventually removed some black spray paint from an old gondola for me, but I had to help it along with an eraser and toothbrush and a ton of elbow grease.  Might have been the paint they used though.  Won't post too much so I don't eat up the page and kill my bet!

Evening all.  Can't stay awake.  So stiff can hardly walk.  Worked all afternoon at pond.  Used chain saw to cut trees and some I lifted and carried into the pond.  With water down about 4 to 5 feet, can build lots of brush piles around the edges.  Cut some trees and got them where they will be under water when pond is full.  Staked them out with smaller saplins cut and driven into the bank with axe.  Tied them off with plastic coated clothes line.  Weedeated the bank on one side.  Went through 2 1/2 bottles of water.  Came home and got HOT shower.  Ate and collapsed in recliner.  Took some pills and off to bed.  Wife says old folks like me are not suppose to work so hard. Shock [:O]  Good night.

Hi GIZ,

Well went to gun show and bought Crimson Trace Grips for the Sig 229.  Brother has em and really shoots good put 13 shots into an area of about 2 inches.  Walked away from 2 SOCOM Is great price at 1380 out the door but going to save up for next show in Dec.  Need some bucks for YORK.

Hot and humid here.  Ran trains at buddies layout for an hour and a half all good with the world.

CHIEF, Do you have a flintlock season there?  Don't like the bow saw to many die from bad archers.

Have a good one.

Well, guess I lose again.  Kids watched High School Musical 2 again while I watched a horror movie on the laptop.  Got my Naughty/Nice car from Trainz - it was on the front porch.  Luckily, it didn't get wet!

Jim A and anybody else interested, I emailed Bob Keller and he forwarded my email to customer service and they changed my username. Ta da!

No goodies tonight other than some leftover pizza.  Toppings include spicy pepperoni, burger, bacon, green peppers, and onion Dinner [dinner]  It's left over from Friday night, but should heat up nicely.

ok - I'll bite. Pay Brutus his $5.00.

I cut back my posting on this forum because you Jim are an annoying pest and I got tired of you badgering me with incessent emails over who's mad at who and why and who said what to who and sending me your cell phone number to call you about who said what to me about you and who said you were mad and who said this and who said that. I have a full life thanks, and I don't need to be wasting my time gossiping with you or anybody else for that matter about internet forum personalities. I have no interest in calling you about who's mad at somebody else and who said you were mad at me, and who said this and who said that. I had enough of your "I know you're mad at me, but . . ." emails.

This, and your subsequent email barrage about who told me what is the kind of stuff my kids did when they were nine - they have since grown out of it.

As I stated to you previously you just do not know when to stop being an annoying clown and rather than have you badgering me constantly, I'll relegate myself to just reading up on stuff of interest to me here.

Now with the forum down tomorrow, this should give you plenty to keep you occupied . . .

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a cloudy 70 degrees. Going up to 80  today, with a good chance of some rain.

Today, I am finishing up on my paperwork and taking it easy. I have to run an errand, later, and then maybe I can spend some time outside. If not, I will be in the train room,  enjoying .

Buckeye...Good Morning. Looks like all systems are working on the Forum.

Frank53.... I for one, have enjoyed your posts and look forward to many more. I don't think I am alone , in that opinion.

Well, Junior blew an engine and is out of the race for the Cup. Tony finished 2nd and is in the finals. Nascar will be different next year.

The Dining car has arrived and is ready for breakfast.

Looking forward to SPF.

Y'all have a great Sunday.

Maybe the forum  is only working for us in Ohio.  Big Smile [:D]

It has rained all night.  I was running the LGB Mogul last night outside when the storm hit.  If you want to talk quality, LGB is tough.  Pouring rain and it is still going around the track, whistle blowing and bell ringing.

Frank53, I have always enjoyed your work, especially the rock cliff wall, which I most likely will be copying on my layout expansion.   I read about this technique years ago, but your color photos sold me on its simplicity and suitability.

Morning all.  Buckeye, ever heard of a quick fix.  Guess engineers don't know that one. Whistling [:-^]  Frank, I'll be Frank, I've missed your posts and your photos.  Great job on your site.

Not too sore this AM.  Thought the storm might make it to Roseyville but all the forecasters say, "No."  Maybe they don't know it all.  Could use 6 inches of rain.  Rather have a troplical storm than a HURRICANE.  I'll let all our Florida gang handle them. Wink [;)]

Yes, black powder season is the first week in Oct.  I do have some special camo for Yankees.  Lets you get real close to those bucks.  Some times they charge right up to you.  I think it is the big set of antlers, the flashing white tail and the cover of the fuzzy brown with buck urine on it. Shock [:O]Whistling [:-^]

Lazy this AM.  Going to sit and drink coffee.  Hope all have a great week coming up.  Think I might shoot some photos of the layout with Soundstop and post today.  God bless.

BTW: maybe the forum will respond better now.  we'll see.

Mornin' boys.  Just waiting to see what Gabrielle does to the Mid-Atlantic region.  Sunny right now.  Finished the drop ceiling in the boy's room last night.  A little filling, sanding, and priming today.

Just looked out to the northeast, and I see a wisp of black smoke...

Buckeye - You're coming in loud and clear.  Nice video.

Frank53 - I check out your www.lionellines.net every couple weeks.

Blueberry - The 8, 20 , and 24 put on a pretty good show the final 100 laps.  Too much drama over a twelth "playoff" spot, me thinks.

HA!  Jim A, you can just keep the $5, no prob!

Frank53 - keep us posted from time to time; I, too, check out your website a couple times a week for updates and inspiration.

Chief, I think that cammo of yours would work a little better if it more resembled a doe.  With the right scent, Laz could get so close those bucks would be right on top of him Whistling [:-^]  Keep your powder dry, Laz!

Sunny today, but supposed to rain again so not going to prime today.  Hope to do it one evening this week though.  Back a little sore today and I didn't do much yesterday except nap and watch movies.  Going to put up a light fixture in the basement and then some insulation.  Still have some plumbing to do, but probably not this weekend.  I'll do it when I can chase the family out for a few hours and drain the house.  Also will take some real measurements of my little basement corner where I plan to put my layout.  Will need to fir out 2 walls and put up some foam insulation and drywall to paint before I build, though.
