Good morning all,

IIABSDISEI with temps in the 70s!!!  It was a semi-beautiful night for soccer as well.  The boys managed a 2-2 tie in a very exciting, hard-fought game.  Our team scored in the first three minutes and I thought we would win easily, but the other team had a 2-1 lead at the half.  Our team scored with about 10 minutes to go to get the tie.  "My" soccer girls got a road win 4-2, which was against a potential sectional opponent.  With no youth games to ref this weekend, I am soccerless until Tuesday.  At least there is the IRL this weekend.  I went to the YMCA and did a half mile on the track.  There was a cinnamon roll and a bowl of cereal for breakfast this morning and I saw a CSX intermodal train going thru downtown Indy westbound this morning.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

MORNING ALL,

Bright sun 70s for the next week, guess the 90s are gone for us.  My headache is gone but still having balance problem today, going to go slow and easy.

Jim F.  thanks for the ice cream, hit the spot.

Tmcc-I saw the 42 in. one at Circuit City about the same price you paid, but this 37in. fits right were my burned out 2yr old 32in. use to be. I agree it has a super picture and lots of features I have not had time to play with yet as it got late and not feeling well.

Don B-A free meal, drinks,a doorprize, but you lost $12.00. I don't think you should go back there, sounds like they want your money.

A good day and weekend to those going away,         Sir James

Good Morning Y'all!  Hope everyone is doing well today.  Sorry to hear about the guys in Boston...pray for the families and brothers left behind.  Slept about 3.5 hours during my sleep study.  That mask just about killed my nose.  Hope the one I actually get is better.

Did some layout work prior to going for the study.  Funny thing, when we picked up my son from school, we offered to take him out for ice cream and he just wanted to go work on the layout.Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]  Think I must have done something right with the kid.  Daughter came up and wanted to help too.

Brent, thanks, but I will have to pass.  I love driving the MB too much.

While I was at the sleep center, they had a severe weather warning.  We got over 4" of rain that should really help the crops/trees.  I checked when I got home this morning and so far, no trees down on our property.

Anyway, hope everyone has a great day and weekend.

Blessings,

Dennis

Mornin' from a quiet, sunny and cool Chicago where I am nearly the only person in the office today - and on the train - and the walk from the station - and the parking lot at the station -where I got the unbelievable space #10 (I'm usually in the 50s) - well, ou get the idea. It's like one of those disaster movies where I am the last person on earth - whew, there goes the L so I am not alone.

Jimmie, the game was great - single A minor league is the way to go - last time I went to a game - it was up your way (kind of) at the Bridgeport Connecticut Blue-somethings. Not a neighborhood I'd walk through but here in Kane County (built on the garbage dump) there was something amusing every half-inning, fireworks set to disco music afterwards and we even got to run the bases. Miracle of miracles, I even caught one of those softballs they catapult into the crowd - without thinking, I gave it to my oldest which caused the youngest to melt down for half-an-inning (the little brat). OK, it was hours past his normal bedtime, but really... The best part for me was the west line mmediately outside the park with a commuter scoot or long freight passing every 5-10 minutes.

RT, I've my eye on Lionel's standard gauge open trolley and trailer. Ain't she a beaut? But I can't afford it.

Don B, I laughed at the idea of an investors meeting at the track... glad you lost only $12. Last time I went to the Kentucky Derby, I won just enough to cover my speeding ticket on the way home...

Afternoon all,

Just got back from some sun bathing by the pool with the kids. Wifey stayed home and primped for work. That's primp with an r, Fifey!

Doug, glad you enjoyed the game. Sounds like what we saw last weekend. Every 1/2 inning, something else got trotted out onto the field. Fun.

Wifey bought a new gas grill this morning, so I think I better get busy and put it together.

Be back later.

What is a snow blower??? Laugh [(-D]  Fife, maybe Mary does not know the difference between a gas grill and a frig.Whistling [:-^]  After all, the poor thing married Jimbo and did not know better. Sigh [sigh]

Definite kill.  Beaver body floating this afternoon.  No signs of the other one.  Actually no signs of any activity last night.  Went to pond and sat on spillway bridge for two hours.  Nothing moving but big fish chasing minnows in shallows.  Did not see otter I saw yesterday.  Put out salt/trace mineral block and some corn for deer.  Time to start getting them ready for winter.  Think I will take camera and get photos and post for LAZ [as he never sees any deer when he is hunting].

May go up and work on layout but in lazy mood this PM.  Sound of Music on all weekend on ABC Family.  Comercial came on and wife blasted out a, "The hills are full of music!".  Then she asked me if I thought she was Julie Andrews? Bow [bow] Told her yes as did not want knots on my head for the holidays. Shock [:O]

Congrats ans so long, Buckeye!

Chief, I saw that item last night. The blue one, right? I already have a bunch of them. Four I think. I'll keep my eye on it.

I almost gave away a 6457 caboose because it has a crummy shell. But then I looked it over and noticed that the trucks are really nice, and one of them is equipped with a power pickup. I'll use it for spare parts.

Cooling off nicely here and looks like we might get a little much needed rain. But the weekend promises to be fair and sunny.

Looking forward to a semi-quiet evening with the kids. I think I'll introduce them to The Sound of Music. I wanted to help close the LHS for the last time, but will spend the time with the kids instead. He closes in 1/2 hour. Sad...

Good evening everybody. Got my Lionel 2020 back from the repairman. Looks like he did alot of work to it. It would run fine until it warmed up then she would start running jerky in reverse. I tried everything I knew to fix it but to no avail. Looked around the shop and it looks like the new K-line stuff is trickling in. Saw some super street track and train assoceries. Not alot though.

Good news the 736 I won on Ebay came and it was better than I expected. Need some clean and lube. It runs good. Just have to fix a small ding on the cab roof. I'll post some pics in the next "Sunday Photo Fun" Best of all I got it for $141 and some change

This morning ran myself ragget trying to find a Lionmaster Pennsy T-1. Must not have been popular cause can't find any shops that have one or nobody wants to give them up.

So I went and worked on the Hog. Gas tank vent was clogged and found a spot on the tank where the clear coat was starting to peel. Now she started fouling out the plugs. Should have not went with the S&S carb. They are to finicky always have to adjust.

The wife rented "The Shooter" supose to be good . I'll let you guys know.

4000!  Way to go - how many stars is that?

Wife and kids and Chewy in KC for the weekend and I'm watching HORROR movies = The Descent, to be exact.  Pretty darn scary!  Heard and add for 3:10 to Yuma today and it sounds pretty great, can't wait to see it.

Need to sand and prep some window frames tomorrow and clean them off really good, then put rustoleum primer on them.  Bought sanding sponges - look cool, hope they work!

John S and Sir James, plenty of icecream and popcorn so stop by on the way home!

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

4,000 That's a bunch, Hate to see you leave !!!  I'm concerned what the Chief will do.... Buckeye is probably the best at keeping him in check.

Brents Car Woes, is migrating out here.  Chris said the rear wheels are squeaking, OK brakes.., went to the shop the shoes and drum is in great shape, but the axle grease seal is leaking.  Saturating the  shoes with grease, combining with dust creating the squeak.  As you would expect the front disc, needed service.  So had that done.  Going to have the axle seals replaced next week.

Then this pm, was in wifes Buick, put down the back window and of course it came off the track.  Now it wont go down or up.  No idea how to get that door panel off.  I'm sure it prys off but usually there is a couple of large screws in the arm rest.  But cant find out how or where to access them.

Got up to 103 here today!!  Hotter here than Vegas!  Suppose to cool down by Tuesday.  Did get the carpet covering today, got all the track and switches.  So wonder what I will be doing over this 3 day weekend. ????Big Smile [:D]

The Nascar race is here at Fontana this weekend, it is going to be hotter than HE>> out there.  Last year the track was around 140, and then the stands are facing the afternoon sun, and are all aluminum.  Will be A LOT of exposure and heat issues !!!  Sure am glad Im NOT going this year!!!  I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't some heat records set.  And Fontana IS on the edge of the desert!!  If you watch it on TV the High Desert is what is located behind the mountains, which is Barstow, Tehachapi Curve, then 325 miles to Vegas.

Remember be safe this weekend !!!

Well, off to bed soon !! No OT tonight, got home early !! I have almost 4 days off, since I don't go back till Tuesday afternoon !!  Yippppeeee !!! Laugh [(-D]
