Evening all. We spent the day at the shore visiting with family. Although it was a little cool out, we all had a great time. Just got back. Superman is on the TV, but no one is up but me. Tomorrow is the last day of five in a row off for me. I'll try to make the least of it by doing as little as possible.

Hello Dennis!    Sorry about the loss of your 28 year old friend. At least he cannot suffer anymore. Looks like the Sound of Music is the favorite of everyone's wife here on the Pot. It would be funny if one of the companies came out with a Sound of Music theme Train. It would sell like Hotcakes if the Wives found out about it.Wink [;)]Wink [;)]Tongue [:P]Clown [:o)] Take Care all.

Went to a buddy's house for pizza.  They have an outdoor firepit and when it got a little dark they made a small fire and the kids made s'mores.  Too hot for a fire, but the kids had fun.  Brought back a whole plate of brownies.  3 of them are reserved, but the rest are up for grabs, Sir James, John S, and anybody else - first come, first served!

Dennis - I am not preordering this time, and it is killing me!  I want about $1000 worth of stuff, too.  Oh well.  Maybe next time around.

Good evening everyone,

I just got back from a friends house. We enjoyed a few TV shows, and played soccer, and Capture the Flag.

Dennis, I'm very sorry for your loss.

PhilaKnight and Chief, Shooter is one of the best movies I have ever seen, right next to The Departed.

Cool [8D] Already preordered that from last time!!!  I've still got that and a reindeer car coming, as well as a barn/chicken coop and a smoking Halloween car....   I think that's it!  Mostly, I need more track and I think a PW ZW after I get caught up.  Maybe for Christmas!

Good morning from beautiful New England. We all slept well after our day at the beach. The sun will do that to you. I have a nice sun burn on my face, except where my sun glasses were!

The Chief is a closet northerner. He secretly pines to live up here in God's country. And now he is getting chummy with Northerners in Roseyville. Soon the lion will lie down with the lamb.

Wifey drove past a yard sale on Saturday that had "an old metal train that was ridable outdoors". She didn't buy it. I think it was a Buddy L. It would have looked great in the train room.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

Happy Labor Day to Everyone !!!

It is a foggy 62 degrees. Going up to a sunny 85, today.

Today is a relaxing day. I have a few things to do, but nothing major. We will take it easy and enjoy the warm weather.  I may run trains later, when it's the afternoon's hottest. Nothing else is new on the layout. I have a lot of plans for the winter. ( bad word ) . Looking forward to the big TOTTSGEOTST on the 11th. Then the Train Show on Oct. 6th.

Question of the Day............Where is Buckeye ?????

The Dining Car is on time and ready to serve breakfast. Later.

Y'all have a great Labor Day Monday.

Good morning from a beautifully sunny and cool Crystal Lake where I have been enjoying the past couple of days with my sister and her husband who are visiting us from NYC. We ran trains yesterday and managed to derail a trolley or two in the far corners of the layout. But they really enjoyed running them, and the GG1. Went out last night for a ridiculously expensive Chicago meal but the bride appreciated spotting celebrities - all of whom I didn't know. I worked yesterday as video director at our church services for a friend whose 3 year old fell on a trampoline  (my friend, his dad, was trying to help him do a flip - which he acknowledges was stupid) and is in a full body cast for 8 weeks - boy, that'll be hard...  The middle boy is suddenly going through a friend-less, hard sort of season when everything seems to be wrong - so I took him to see the Simpsons movie in the middle of a beautiful day and will think up something to do together today - have a pleasant day, all! Hmmm, the beach sounds like a good idea.

Doug, sorry to hear about your son's friend.  We all do things on the foolish side, but usually get away with it.  Hope his recovery is uneventful.  Unfortunately, I get to see lots of the results of momentary lapses in judgement...we call them traumas.

Good morning to Y'all.  I see the president has made a trip to Iraq to visit with the troops.  Glad to see he visits with the guys.  Said a prayer for his and their safety and guidance.

Have a great Labor Day!

Dennis

Morning folks.  Doug M, sorry to hear about the little boy, hope he heals fast!  Lucky he's not paralyzed or worse though.  Hope your child feels better soon too.

Only slept in until 8:30.  Watching the last 2 ep's of Heroes, then to wash the windows and truck.  later I'll prime the windows.  That's about it for today.  Wife and kids should be back later - missed them a lot!

Morning Folks.  Thought I'd check in before I get busy with yard work, etc.  Been away for a few days. Went to our annual Labor Day weekend reunion with friends from High School.  Plenty of good food and time with friends.

Still trying to decide whether to pre-order the Flying Yankee. Would probably eat up my train budget for the year.  I would really like to see one and see it run before I decide, but that will not be possible since they will be gone before I get a chance to see it.

Well lots to do.  I'll stop by later.

Hello and good afternoon,

Slept late today. Busy last night. Handled a stabbing, arson, and last job was a shooting. Don't you love the holidays. Nobody was drunk ether.

Well this morning had to pull the battery out of the Harley it keeps going dead. Check the acid level it was low so hopefuly thats the problem. Don't feel like buying a new one.

Hope everyone has a good Labor Day
