Good morning from a sunny and warm Chicago where I am thinking about what I have to do to prepare for taking a week off in June - yes, I am actually going to try to go 'South' through Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina (just the tip), and end up at the very end of South Carolina.

I am experimenting with running two trolleys in tandem if that is the right expression on the same track.  They catch up with each other which I wanted  - I just don't know if I am doing something bad to the motors on the the trolley that ends up pushing the other one a bit. What do you think?

Jim A, I haven't touched the A/C in my small car in quite some time too. Not worth powering up for 10-15 minute-long drives. Yes, the rest of the family think I am crazy.

Nice to see BB and Buddy up and about.

Mornin' boys...and fellow quadropeds.  I see this forum has gone to the dogs, which could be a good thing.  Of course it really went to the dogs 4/6/06.

Chief - dealing with pea soup in my pond as well = not enough rain, not enough vegetation shielding sunlight...adding barley.

FORTNER - save evaluation...will need for Power of Attorney...

Good morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a sunny 50 degrees. Going up to 84 today, with sunshine all day. The weather has been beautiful here.

Today, I have to drive up to Cambridge, to do the grocery shopping. Gas is at an all time high. $ 3.24 a gallon for 87. Prices of food reflect the high transportation costs. We pay from all directions. Tomorrow, we are going to Zanesville to have the Wife's foot looked at by her Doctor. May have a broken toe. She still needs that out-patient surgery on the other toe. She is in a lot of pain. Hope this takes care of it.

Well, it's time to board the Dining Car for breakfast.

Y'all have a great Tuesday.

Good morning all,

It is another beautiful sunny day in SE Indiana with temps in the 80s today.  Watched a tape of last week's F1 race, and took it kind of easy last night.  Tonight will be a sad night as we watch the last two episodes of "Veronica Mars" :-(  Just the regular fare on the dining car this morning for "Points East".  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Hi Don & everyone,

Here’s BB on Sunday, my hound helper. She's tired of eating mice over the winter and glad the rabbits are now out and about in great flocks.

Been busy experimenting with various forms of casting resins. Here’s some pictures. Be happy to answer any questions. i found out you can make some cool industrial style train wheels by drilling holes through toy train wheels.

Nice weather here in Virginia; too bad have to work. Army took away our YouTube priviledges but they may give me an exception as my team puts Army videos on YouTube.

Drive carefully, Dennis. The life you save may be your own. My car's AC hasn't worked in 2 years. I just grin and bear it. The beast is 10 years old.

Recently I've had a series of nice little restoration projects that's kept me entertained. Now that they all seem to be finished, I find myself wishing I had some more. Maybe now is a good time to start working on Julia's pink girl's train. I've decided to use a starter set 4-4-2 as the motive power. Initially I had planned to use a K-Line Pacific that came in holiday colors. Nahhh!

Morning all.  A quick swing by before I start my case and they shut down the forum.  Anyway, was a good night and hopefully a good day.  Have to take one of the cars to the dealer as the AC shuts off if the temp goes over 90....as usually happens this far south.  Well, off to save lives.

I cringe at what Jim Fortner would write in an evaluation about me!!!!

Good morning from sunny New England!

Mowed the lawn last night and let me tell ya, it was a workout. 4 days of rain made the grass quite tall. The mower's bag had to be emptied constantly.

After dinner, my wife and I watched the Sopranos. Yawn! Then she clicked onto Dancing with the Stars and I felt my skin begin to crawl, so I retired to the friendly confines of the History channel upstairs.

This week I will buy some lumber to build my train storage shelves.  I've toyed with the idea of designing them to look like a vintage Lionel display.

Off to see Dr. Tinker at lunchtime. He says my 2018 is all fixed. The repair cost more than the engine...

Wife's done with the bills and time for bed, glad you liked it Chuck.  Hope Buckeye thinks it's funny.  Had 4 episodes of 2.5 Men - very funny show!  Interesting about Chris Angel and a layout in the Luxor - maybe CTT should do an interview and photo piece???  Haven't seen too many picks or stories about BB lately, hope Dave pops in....  TTFN

Good evening all - a nice cool night - sat outside after doing the dishes to read the paper while the youngest jumped on the trampoline. The daughter got her learners permit - only wanted the bride to go out with her. My time is coming... the bride is watching  a TV crime drama -I see too much drama in real life I guess to enjoy it. But I guess I should go sit with her.

Chief, Brownish/greenish water is the norm here in OHIO rivers and ponds are  nasty looking even the Lake ERIE used to look blue from a distance but up close it was pretty nasty......better than it used to be.

what do you stock your pond with???? Ilike fishing for Sunfish,Bluegill,Bass and Paper mouth(crapie) and also like perch and the occasional catfish.Thumbs Up [tup]

Are there any good fish frys in the south? In Ashville south of columbus and north of circleville they have a fourth of July fishfry that is pretty good.Dinner [dinner]

Glad you all enjoyed the quite.  HUMM, had to read pages since last night.  Think the Yanks are mouthy too.  Tongue [:P]  OH, I see the forum will be down for upgrades.  There goes the neighborhood again. Laugh [(-D]  Maybe they found the problem.  Works great sometimes and then drags some.  Had busy day.  Had pack some train items that a Yank bought and I "took to the cleaners."  Love doing that to Yanks.  Get even all the time. Wink [;)]  Got those done and then rush to County Commissioner meeting.  Rush home to return to Raleigh for Mended Hearts meeting [just got back].  Had to fill up truck and car today.  Standing up typing. Shock [:O]Wink [;)]  Tomorrow, I do hope I can get some trains in.  Pond turnning green like pea soup.  Real puzzle to everyone.  Got something from runoff.  Suspicion: water running in at a dry creek bed next to a sewer manhole may not be a spring but....  If so, City of Raleigh is in deep .... [no pun intended].  A real puzzler as it has been clear water for years and I could not get enough fertilizer in it to make it turn.  This year, only one bag in 6 weeks and that was because the supplier was out of fertilizer.  No farmer's fields close by so????  Hoping it [algie] does not die too fast or bacteria will eat up all the O2 and get fish kill.

Got to go.  Popcorn time
