Misty,
I never knew where Phelan was located, just looked it up in 'Streets'. Now I know, Northeast of LA. Is that area considered high country desert?

Those black-white-red engines are what WESTERN MARYLAND called the "circus" scheme. It was a handsome paint scheme that actually lasted on CSXT into the 90's. I actually have a picture of WM GP7 5634 (nee 22) at Grant St Station from 7/90.

From the box it appears to be an early MTH set. Is marked to have loco sounds or just a horn and whistle? If it were mine I probably would just put in a Williams board and wire the motor up to that. To bad no one lives close to you to give you a hand. The shipping back and forth is a killer with the new USPS rates.I assume it doesn't do anything when you put power on the track, is that correct? Does the headlight light? Are you sure you have power on the track?Even if the engine doesn't work the transformer alone is worth way more than you paid for the set.

ok well it is loco sound
as far as putting in a new board i think thats a little more advanced then i can do right now. i wouldnt even know what board to get.
and when i stick it on the track nothing happens but my transformer resets from a overload. no headlight nothing, I can hear a faint sound sorta like a buzzing but real low.
wish i lived more towards the east coast also, lots of members live that way

Good afternoon everyone,
It was a suprisingly quick day here. School was fine, nothing bad happened at all. So far, the weather has been nice here.
Rain!? I wish I could have sent some to the people that need it. We got some this weekend, just like last weekend, and the weekend before. I'll do my rain dance for you guys for free (I'll be nice, unlike Jaabat.)
Jim Trumpie I'm glad that you like your 360. It's worth every penny that I spent on it. I don't see why people would buy the PS3, first of all with its $700 price tag, and the fact that most games, such as Call of Duty 3, aren't split screen/multiplayer enabled. Also, my friend Jake bought the Forza 2 this weekend, and he said it's a heck of a lot better than the demo, so I may pick it up now.
Breaking news from Prattville . . .
We actually had a little rain shower today. Didn't last long, maybe ten or fifteen minutes, but it sure can't hurt! Made the air seem a little cleaner, anyway! Keep the prayers coming!
Dr. John - looks like we need to add some prayer emphasis for some rain for your region. They will not say the drought is busted here as one season with rain (yep - this spring has been the only wet weather we have had for several years) does not bust a drought. Almost all the lakes are full but it appears water restrictions will remain as no one knows what this summer and into fall holds for the N Texas area.
Hope your B-Day party for your daughter is fun!
Regards, Roy
Good afternoon from dry and dusty Dixie! The one good thing from the drought is there are no mosquitos to be found. A lot of clouds float by overhead teasing us but they aren't dropping any rain. Local cattlemen are auctioning off their livestock now rather than in the fall. Grass is scarce and hay prices are soaring. Farmers are having it tough too. Some have irrigation systems but most do not. We just keep praying for rain and hoping.
Oldest daughter has 21st birthday tomorrow. We'll take her out to eat tonight. She flies to Jacksonville, FL on Thurdsay to visit her closest childhood friend (our other, other daughter ). The wife and I head to Birmingham the following Thursday for her heart procedure. We're looking forward to getting that done!
Hope everyone has a great day!
Good morning or afternoon all!
Looks like the rain has finally ended here. 90's for the rest of the week and sunny. Gonna be extremely humid too with all the moisture in the ground. Mosquitos are on the prowl! Can't open the door with out a few of them getting inside. Ouch!
Hope your day is a good one!
Thanks JB for the JD.
Pond looks great after all the worry. "Thinned" out [less turbidity for Buckeye] and turned brown. That is what I wanted for three years but not such a shock. Actually the Good Lord took care of it. The hot dry days let it do its thing and not die out quick and cause fish kill. Then when it was ready, he sent the rain. Walked the sewer line for over a mile. Hot, ticks and deer flies. Got to run. Lunch time.

Sorry Brent, My warped sense of humour got the better of me, You will find the countryside outside London is stunning and the further North you go the friendlier the people are, the beer is better too.
Hey Cheif, I've found your JD.
Chief, does your joint ache?

Chief, glad no one was injured. Sad when folks build houses so close together, another reason for living more in the country. Have a friend that I used to work with on the FD had an aneurysm and is in a coma. Light schedule today, have only to help on one case and then I am off. Plan on hitting the gym for a few reps and then, time to get the tractor out. Rain has brought lots of growth with it. HOpe to get some train time in this afternoon. I have to run lines to strips and power up the main lines.
God Bless,
Dennis
