Good evening,
Marty, Nice to see you are still with us. Better check that no rust is forming in the trains.
Buckeye, Congrats on the 32nd Aniversary.
Lisa, Bet it seems a lot longer than its been.
We went to a Rodeo at my son's church today. They had quite a crowd Looked to me like about 3000. Enjoyed it. Used to be into horses in a big way but haven't owned any for quite a few years, last rode about 5 years ago.
Happy June 24 the all! Long time no post - but have been trying to keep up. Think I've missed some birthdays and anniversaries - well Happy belateds to all.
Been very busy keeping up my hubby's "neighborhood" sized garden, the yard, house and of course the biggest job - waiting on His Royal Highness. In 2 weeks, he can start putting some weight on the left leg, back to the Dr in 3 weeks then probably physical therapy. He also has had gout in his left foot and bursitis in his right shoulder - from the crutches, no doubt.
For all of you with too much rain, could you send some our way? Please?? The river and ponds around here are low.
Chief - how are the Japanese beetles down your way? They are pretty bad up here in places but so far, they are not bothering us.
Have a great week everyone!

Watching the IRL crash fest. Doing some light projects. Hope to catch some of the NASCAR race later.
Partly cloudy here. Rain has held off. More heavy rain predicted Mon and Tues.
Have a great day all!

BUCKEYE,
First of all good luck on those northern pike. I was going to Canada on the ST. LAWERENCE RIVER from 1977-1997 then our guy moved his family to Costa Rica to open another fishing business down there. We went up another time at a different locale but wasn't the same. We all missed the guy who was like family to us. We would fish together, drink, GOLF, have fires, drink, go scuba diving, drink, waterski, tube, and have big fish frys at end o week and more drink. It was great! We would go up sometimes twice a year, on Memorial day and CHRISTMAS in August. Memorial day was always the best when the pike were in the bullrushes on there spawning beds. Use to come out at a bucktail spinner about 5 sometimes six of em and pow knock the snot out of the spinner. Biggest one I ever caught was 39 inches and 14 lbs. Saw some in the 25 lb. range. We'd also catch walleyes and perch .Great times.
Trout fishing on the WICONISCO CREEK in northen Dauphin Co. About 25 miles north of Harrisburg. The problem is the last time they stocked it was April 2. The fish commission kinda screwed us here by starting the season the end of March and stocking for the last time April second. Where last year the whole state sarted April 15 and we got 3 stockings which the last was May 8th. We in the southcentral part of the state had the season start early but then the rest of the state came down here took all our fish went back home and had there traditional start two weeks later. The commission said that there would be fewer stockings but bigger fish. Yea right. Caught the same 8-12 inchers just like the previous year. oh well? DA??
Yes, I'd like to go out fishin for those lakers, we use to go up on Lake Ontario out of Mexico Bay for Brownies, lots o fun. Plus we'd have a blast talking bout the CHIEF.
Have a GREAT TRIP up to CANADA.

The Chief has previously tagged me with the honor of being the most hopeless.
Another beautiful day in Buckeyeland. Rain meant for Roseyville is falling here this morning, but of course held off during the outdoor church services.
The hockey draft party was a big success. Columbus was a hopping town even without a football game.
Laz, what stream are you doing your trout fishing?
I'm packing up to go chase the Northern Pike in Ontario. Pike fishing is not for the faint of heart. A big pike has big sharp teeth and they will clamp down on a finger if you are not careful. Laz, you need to go after a lake trout with me sometime. In early spring we slowly troll a spoon and we catch them about 5' below the surface. Later on in the summer, they will head to the bottom and in 60-80 feet of water, they are much more difficult to catch.
Friends will be over for supper tonight, so the Garden RR will be fired up and running. If the track is dry, I might run the Circus Train. The dry track is needed to get traction enough to pull all the cars.
Called the Chief yesterday while he was cooking his grits for lunch. Of course my timing was impeccable since his grits became cold and his sweet tea became warm.
Marty, glad to see you out of the truck trailer.
Roy, what Tennessee Lake is your destination? Kentucky Lake is partially in Tennessee.
Life is coming to an end under the bridge.
One more thing, Mrs. Buckeye as of this week as been putting up with me for 32 years.
See ya down the tracks,

Was gonna paint some outside metal frames, but it's now supposed to rain/storm tonight and actually for the next 2 nights. Guess Chief finally closed the door after letting out all that drought on us! Bacon to catch mice - it just might work! I'll try that the next time we have unwanted company (other than the MiL!).
Well, off to do some quick yard work and then maybe do some work on the basement. I took it easy on my sprained hand for about the last 4 weeks now I think, so should be able to do some light work, but will avoid hammer for a another couple weeks.
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
HI GIZ,
Went trout fishin last nite and low and behold caught one. Only one rainbow between me and brother. We fish from bridge to bridge about a mile and caught a lot of trash fish but only one trout. Anyway had a fire and ate hogs and burgers on outdoor fireplace. Oh well was a nice nite anyway.
MARTY, I've been the same with the train running, not much since the nice weather set in.
Read in the paper today that JEFF GORDON got caught cheating? True?
All have a good one.
Marty - just good to know your breathing...
CHIEF - I'm old fashioned too with the new tech communications. I'd buy a rotary cellphone if they had one.
trainsandmusic - when you get those shells painted, how about posting them one Sunday.
Fortner - what's that old Hank Williams tune? Oh yea,"Your cheating heart..."
mitchelr - come here Buddy; let me help you wipe that spot of BBQ sauce offf that chin. Can dress you up....
Blueberry - I'll be cheering on 7.

Good Morning Everyone !! Looks like another nice day here today !! Great flag flying weather !! I may watch a little of that Nascar race to see how #20 does but that seems nutty to me on a road course !! Imagine Funny Cars on a Nascar track ? !!
Well, hope all have a nice day !!
Thanks, John
Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a cloudy 62 degrees. Rained last night, a little. Going up to 82 today, with a chance of a shower, later. Hope not.
Today, we are taking it easy. Company left late yesterday. Almost missed the Indians game. We won for a change. I have a few things to do around the house and I will spend some time in the train room, watching the GG1 go over the blue bridge. That is neat.
Nascar race today is a road race. I may tune in later to see how the old # 20 is doing. He needs to win one.
OK, a well stocked Dining car is here and it's time for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Sunday.
Chuck
Morning to All
Yesterday was a clean-up day at the old office. Almost done. I have a couple of loose ends that I will attend to on Wednesday. Training this Monday and Tuesday as well as Thursday and Friday this week, in addition to training on the following Monday and Tuesday. Then off for Independence Day. Finally get to the real work of the new school on July 5th.
Last night the Mrs. and I went to Texas Roadhouse. I had some ribs. Yum.
Today will be a honey-do day.
Take care,
Mitch

and this is a bad thing?
Tried Caboose again, got a box with Op Panel in top LHS, under that it says Guest #xxxxxx and some other stuff in a faint box, but no instructions or explanation as to what this thing dos. I suppose there is some kind of sign up as the start page asks for a log-in if a member. A very baffled and confused TOG. HMMMM!!

Good evening everyone,
My trip to Florida was good. I had a good time with my family. We ate at many good restaurants, and enjoyed very good food. Two of the restaraunts were on the intra coastal waterway, and we saw a good number of boats go through. I have many pictures. Our hotel room faced the ocean in Ft. Lauderdale, after we visited my uncle in Surfside, who's condo looks over the ocean too. I saw a number of interesting boats, and even two Navy Destroyers! Cars..........Bentleys, Rolls Royces, Lamborghinis, and Ferraris. I was astounded.
I also went to the BPS there. Chief, I got a 95% on the shooting range, the one with the house, and the lighted circles. I was suprised that I was that good. It was at a pro level, so I wasn't complaining. And the Air Rifles there had to be as heavy as the real rifles. They were monsters!
Well, good night. I'm in for work at 6:30 AM.
Good evening all,
It rained again today in SE Indiana with temps in the 70s. I did the housework while my wife got caught up on the laundry. I did watch the IRL qualifying live on the internet at indycar.com. Scott Dixon was the fast time with Danica 11th. It is on ABC tomorrow. I did a little bit of outside work, but nothing too strenuous. There was bacon and biscuits on the dining car as it headed to "Points East". I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
good afternoon all...im headed out to the lake for some relaxing and girl watching** i mean sun bathing

Congrats, Laz - sorry I missed that!
Worked 4 hours OT then went to Sears for a pair of pliers, which they didn't have of course. They used to carry a lot more variety of stuff at the stores than they do nowadays. Picked up a different train magazine - S2 from Williams looks sweet!
Another day, another emergency...or two. Had a emergency heart and then a gunshot. Sometimes, I just want off this train so I can play with my trains! Anyway, just catching up with all. I have been a bit on the busy side and wanted to send my best wishes to everyone. Hope Julia's birthday was wonderful. Marty, good to see you here. I caught your post the other day on the other forum. Between the two, I get a lot of information. I like the relaxed atmosphere of this one.
Anyway, hope y'all have a good weekend and get plenty of train time in.
