Evenin' boys.  Had a looooong day, but at least it was pretty outside.  Not enough energy left to get new benchwork off the floor.  Maybe post a few pics on Sunday...

Fife - I would love to go to York this year, but it's not in the cards.  Next year I can budget my $$$ and annual leave and maybe make the 2nd one....  What airport is near the York meeting?  Maybe I can look it up and figure out what it would cost.  I need to email the Ozark division secretary and find out what's going on around here.

Have a good safe flight Chief.  Don't let them get the best of you out there.

It would be good if we can all get together for the BPS opening.  Can you ask the folks at BPS to have a tray of Grits when they bring all that food out.  Just kidding.  I am sure we will have fun.   Wife is up for a visit to MIL's, I just need to make sure that I don't have to cover someone else's call that weekend.

Dr. John, our church just announced the title of the next movie "Firestorm".  We will begin shooting in the fall.  I have no idea what I will do in it or what my involvement will be, but I do plan to be a part of what God will do with it.  I will let you know details when I can.

HOpe everyone has a great night.  Already late here, and I need sleep.
God Bless,

Dennis

Morning All.

Brewed a fresh pot, and ate a little something. Weather is beautiful again today. Need to get the grass cut tonight.  The boy says he's going to do it....we'll see...

No train time last night as I did not get home until almost 7:00, we had dinner and then I sat down to work the crossword.  Next thing I knew, the Mrs. was hollerin' at me to get up and come to bed. Guess I am just an old fogey, to bed at sunset and then up before the chickens.

Have a great day.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a sunny 68 degrees. Going up to 92 today. Wow. It's gonna be a hot day.

Up earlier than usual today. Wife has to be ready to go by 8:00. She is being picked up by niece, to go to Columbus Zoo. Little 4 year old should enjoy it. I am staying home to mow front yard this morning and sit in the shade this afternoon. Should be a quiet day.

Chief....Have a safe flight.

2000 posts. Big Smile [:D]

Well, the Dining Car is here early and ready for breakfast. Then, it is off to " points west ". Talk more later.

Y'all have a great Thursday.

I'm talking to the Chief as I type this. He's on the way to the airport. Sooooo, let's get some shots in at him! We have the whole weekend!

Last night was a train night! After a five star dinner at McDonalds with the kids, we went to the local train store for OGR 222. The boys talked me into buying some IHC undecorated HO streamliners for their Santa Fes. $9.00 each! Then we came across a junk box filled with old HO cars. We found one with a speaker in it. $3.00. Took it home and put a battery in it. It makes chuffing noises when the car rolls!

Once home, I decaled my K-Line Pacific's tender for Boston and Maine. Then as a final touch, I added a real coal load over the molded in coal. Yeah baby!!! This has turned into a replica of B&M loco 3713, which is now being restored at Steamtown in PA.  It's gonna pull some freight tonight!

Chief just hung up to board his plane. I wonder what he was talking about! Wink [;)]

Fife - the lighting I can get done in 1 day - those are easy projects.  Well except maybe the foyer light... I can even get the kitchen faucet done on the same day.  Garage door openers won't be much of a chore either as there is already one in the garage (old chain drive, noisy as a mama robin protecting her nest), and I can use the existing setup to mirror the new opener - one more day).  That takes care of everything on the top portion of the list.  The Masterbath is at least a two weekend job.  And the basement is a 3 weekend job.

I am looking at tankless water heaters now.  The water tank is huge, probably 50 - 60 gallons, and takes up alot of realestate.  If I can get a tankless heater that can supply the whole house for under $1,000 I'll do it because the utility closet won't need to be a large!  I'll probably also get a small tankless heater to run either the dishwasher or the clothes washer, probably clothes washer since that room is larger, and I'll have more room to work with.

I can be very handy if the job I'm doing is something I am confident in my abilities to complete. Smile [:)]

Jim - The closest major airport to York is Baltimore.  Depending on your schedule I'm sure I could have a room for you!  I only live 1 hour from York! Smile [:)]  And by October 2008 I should have a functioning layout! Smile [:)]

John - got your email and responded.  Definitely interested.

Well got some bad news last night.  Was packing the house and came across my Canon Fish eye lens for my EOSxt Digital Camera... picked up the case and all I heard was broken glass and rattling! Shock [:O]Sad [:(]Angry [:(!] Opened it up and the lens was in 3 pieces and the glass was shattered.  Appears to have either been dropped or something.  Probably damaged in the move from Pittsburgh to Baltimore two years ago (yes this was the first I had handled it in two years).  So looks like it unrepairable and a new one is going to cost a pretty penny... not sure it is worth it to shell out the money for a new one! Disapprove [V] I do have a 'hack job' version that I picked up off EBay (.5 focal length inverter) that attaches to the end of my other two lens, so not a total loss... just frustrating more than anything.

Jim, you have that problem, too?  I never know what he is talking about!!  Of course this makes him all the better politician and mayoral candidate for Roseyville.   BTW, just because he carries that laptop, doesn't mean anything.  He is just passing it off as the boat charger of the future.

Good morning from beautiful Ohio where we are going to see 90 degrees today.  I better water the flowers in the Garden RR.

Heading east today to Granville, OHIO.  Quaint little town that reminds one of the small towns of New England.

Good morning all,

It is another hot day in SE Indiana with temps reaching to the 90s.  Fortunately it will cool off for the weekend, and it was nice last night with our team winning 6-2.  We are 3-0 and in first place in our league.  The only downside is that we have only played teams who have not won a game yet.  Next week may be a better test for us.  I see where the dining car arrived from "Points East" fairly early this morning.  Congrats, Chuck, on 2000 posts!  I have class tonight, and so it will be a long day, but I have tomorrow off as compensation.  Woo-hoo!  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Morning all; Looks like most of us yanks will be hot today. Received a copy of the MTH club letter and it has 21/2 pages of corrections for their Vol 2 catalog. Makes me wonder what is going on there. Got an old "new in box"Lionel  frt. car from ebay last nite. I thought someone would bid last minute but no, so now it's mine. It's a nice car, good price but I did not need it,you know how that goes, just had to bid.  Mi. Jim

Getting some much needed rain here in south Florida and I didn't have to send jaabat anything to get the rain either, sorry no money Jimbo!  Just hope that I can stay dry!   Also we might get a let-up in water restrictions usage if we get enuff rain, currently can only water my lawn once a week on sunday from 4:00 AM to 8:00 AM, also outdoor burning ban lifted yesterday-which means no outdoor trash burning!

CSXect you are talking about a city & cownty next to where I grew up in Pennsylvania, only we pronounce it a little differant than you do, Lancaster-Lanc cast ster, the Berks Cownty PA pronounciation.

A lot of American city names came from Europe or Russia or are Indian names, maybe not all but a lot are that way.

Thank you Jaabat, anyway the local tribes of Seminal & Tequasta Indians have not heard of a naked rain dance or hurricane dance. Is that a northern Indian Tribal dance?  P.S. You are the Jive Turkey that asked for a bribe or to be paid!!
