Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a nice 58 degrees. Blue skies. Going up to 80, today, with some clouds, later.
Today, I am going to do some chores around the house. Need to clean up some things that have been needing attention. Maybe run trains, later. Grass is all mowed for another week. Garden is getting ready to have some nice , red tomatoes. Cucumbers are plentiful. We had green peppers with dinner yesterday. Very good.
I am planning on going to the Train Show in Berea, Ohio, on October 6th , as I did last year. Hope to see some of you guys. Planning on having lunch at the Station, again.
Time for boarding the Dining Car. Breakfast is served.
Y'all have a great Monday.
Chuck
Mornin' to All. Just brewed a fresh pot. Had a beautiful weekend in G'burg. Low humidity, high in the low 80's. Couldn't ask for any better weather.
The Mrs. and I are planning to take the Potomac Eagle excursion train near Romney WV in the fall. Anyone else taken that trip? We are thinking about taking a weekday rather than weekend trip, figuring it might be a little less crowded. I think one of our friends who is a real bird watcher is going along too. Supposed to be prime bald eagle watching.
Take care,
Mitch

Chief, We fully support you as allies of the South We can do a nice line in fast blockade runners should you require one. However payment in grits stock will not be excepted as we have had some unscrupulous indviduals swap the real deal for instant grits(horror). I now only except waffles and maple syrup....Hmmm Waffles.

Nick
Good evening all,
I am reporting in late tonight as I have been away all weekend. More details will follow, but we had a wonderful weekend in the great state of Ohio. I saw some mention of American Bricks as well and I will comment on that tomorrow as well. It is late and I had a long day. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,

Jim, I just had some Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Icecream. I think I'll take some more though.

Back - took about an hour to catch up on the pot! Prayers for Dewey, Barbara and Doug. Well, I had a good time at Mattoon. Got there Thursday night with Jeff and we stayed up all night discussing the problems of the world - can't remember the solution, though . Went on an early cruise at about 4:30 to 5 AM just as the sky was lighting up and checked out the lake, then rested up until the rest of the guys showed up. Ron and Jeff went night fishing Friday. Fished about all day yesterday. Ron won longest fish and most fish. Jeff won first fish. We are pretty sure I won smallest fish - killed it by accident, since if swallowed the hook down. At least I didn't get skunked like one guy (Sharpie - Jeff's FiL). Got home this evening and went out to Cracker Barrel for dinner (Country Fried Steak, Mashed potatoes, corn and green beans).

Spent the weekend working on the house with Susan. Friday we ventured out to Home Depot to order the wood for the shed... Saturday we removed the shutters from the house (16 pair), washed the siding (lots of dead bugs, cob webs, and old bee hives), washed the shutters, and painted them black. Then went to Home Depot (again) to order the vanities, mirrors, and shower door for the bathroom remodel. So all in all a very productive weekend... also went to FiL's on Saturday (deliver groceries) and he had fresh peaches off the tree... 4 scoops of vanilla ice cream and 3 fresh peaches...
Forgot to mention... I also lost 5 lbs! So I'm now almost back to where I was went I met Susan... only 5 more to go... 10 till I reach my target...

Hi guys, I'm still around, just been busy. Read the last few pages and it looks like most are healthy. Prayers for Dewey, Barbara and Doug.
Garden growing wild. Just a small garden as the Chief can attest but getting more than we can use and giving a lot away. I think I read that Sir James finally picked his first tomato, is that correct?

Yeah, just add a scoop to the old grounds !! I might have a cup !!
Oh, got any popcorn ? !!
Evening everyone,
Took a nice hot shower, and shaved. I broke my toe a few weeks ago, but never had it wrapped or anything. I hit it against a goal post yesterday at my friends house. Now it really hurts.
Fife, I'm scared, sir.
Mike C., How does MLS win over Ireland? I thought for sure those europeans would have won! And Chelsea didn't dissapoint me. I think Galaxy would have won for sure if Beckham would have been in longer, but his ankle held him back severly. Oh, since you like F1, you can probably appreciate my soon to arrive Ferrari hat and shirt. Now I have to order the Ferrari Racing Team shirt..................Mom, I figured out my birthday present.........it's only $130!.......looks like I will be buying it myself now.

Actually, Don, we have had Buckeye going DEEP undercover and planning the security for the Ohio borders. He was watching the movements of Chief, by setting up meetings with him and following his every move.
Afternoon guys,
Just got back from caddying. $50 bucks, which brings the grand total to $450 bucks in 12 days. Me like it a lot. I'm thinking of buying a projector instead of the plasma now. It can double for my use, and the use for movies outside in the backyard.
Hope everyone has a good day.
Sunday greetings John.
I never saw wood ones but one of the neighbor kid had the clay ones and of course I had to have them. They have plastic window inserts with a green edge to look like a window frame and orange wood peices to go top and bottom of window openings with slots to hold the windows in place. It seems the clay ones disappeared when the plastic ones came out. Jim
Jim : I've seen them in an antique store once where they were just like mne & made out of wood. I should have bought them !! I think they were first made out of wood & had paper windows then when plastic was invented, thay made them out of plastic. Oh, I remember seeing some from England, made out of clay & it even had the box & instructions !! I wonder if that's what you have ? !!
Lisa,
We have been there once and liked the area but I was suprised at the difference on the two sides of the smokeys. Not knowing the area I was not prepared for that. We are glad our daughter ask us to go with them. We were thinking of a trip to Waynesboro Va. but I'll gladly settle for this.
John,
Late 1940s I got a set of American bricks made from a clay substance, had a dark maroon color, and went together like yours. I still have them and I wish I could show them to you but as you have probably read I don't have the equpt. Sir James
