Kurt, I hope they run it again. Ferrari is my favorite car company. My dream car is a Ferrari 250 GTO. I LOVE those cars. I would live out of it........not really. Here are pix of it: http://www.seriouswheels.com/def/Ferrari-250-GTO-Side.htm

Thats the exact one that I would love to have, minus the No. 11 on the side.
Fife, plans aren't finalized yet........there is no date set yet.
And for anyone else who likes Ferrari, check this video out:

Evenin' boys. Evenin' Lisa. Lovely ripe tomatoes you 've got there...quit it , Brent.
88 - Kelly and I can be out your place by 2 on Sunday. Can get that shed up in a jiffy. Track plan is brewing upstairs. Not sure I'm going to Timonium. Need to start saving for YORK.
tmcc - Not sure if I can meet up with ya at B&O museum, but let me know when you'll be there just the same.
mitchelr - Just west of Romney is the MILL STONE Restaurant on 50. The owner is passionate about BAR-B-QUE ribs and pork.
Down in Petersburg is the HERMITAGE (right on the main road). Nice meal in historic landmark.
In Cumberland (Rte 28 exit/Paca St) is GEATZ'S Restaurant. Great meal, really nice inside, not pricey at all.
If CRACKER BARREL is more your style, use the one in MARTINSBURG (81 exit 13). Unlike the one in Hagerstown (65).
If you do spend the night, I highly recommend the South Branch Inn just outside Romney. Treat yourself to the Suite. A little pricey but that jacuzzi bathtub with all those mirrors...woooaaawooooaaawooooo!!!

Colin: The history channel had a special on the Ferrari Factory. Amazing. They showed a few pics of the foundry, and how they cast the engine blocks.
Went a short 3-miles with the girls in tow. They did pretty well...Dad arrived tired, and the children energized. Probably better to run them til they drop, instead of letting them recharge, and run dad to death when they get home. I still have more endurance than a 2-year old...so far.
Jimbo is still on vacation with the family, or in a prision somewhere for 'misplacing' his family.
Jon: Congratulations on bringing your comrads home! Thank you for serving.
Ran trains with the 6-month old...Saw some pics of the K-Line Ringling Bros trains! Really nice!

So many roads, so little time.
Afternoon from beautiful Ohio, where I have been on the Golden Phone most of the day since it is so cheap.
So the Chiefie is out of town. I was trying to think of a nice gift to give him for his new office at city hall. Maybe this one of NS polluting a small town would be appropriate.
He could just put that on the wall and tell everyone that NS is his favorite railroad.
Cousin and his family are heading to Roger's Corners for a visit. He works for the DOD overseas so it is nice to see them back in the states.
Had a little blood work yesterday. Had to stick me twice. I hate that!
The high was only 77 today. Normally we see 97 at this time of the year. My lawn is still green.
88, Good Point. Where is Jimmy?

88,
I've always wanted to go to England. I went to Germany when I was 8 years old, and I think I'm going back with my grandpop next year in the summer. I don't remember much from when I was there. Colin, Monaco is one of my favorite places. If you go you MUST have a meal at the "Louis XV" restaurant located in the Hotel de Paris in casino square. It has 3 michelin stars the food is fantastic. Budget about £150 for two for lunch (lunch however takes about 4 hrs to eat your way through) double that if you go for dinner. Book first.
I recomend the Cafe de Paris across the square for a drink. Prepare to have deep pockets as a Coke will set you back about £10.
I took the DeLorean for a spin round the F1 circuit which when I visited a couple of weeks after the Grand Prix they still had the armco up. The hill up to casino square is a lot steeper than it looks on TV. Oh and they put bolt down speed bumps on the pit straight so watch that Ferrari front spoiler.
If you go for the F1 race prepare for the hotel rates to treble compared to normal.

A man in Topeka, Kansas decided to write a book about churches around the country. He started by flying to San Francisco and started working east from there. Going to a very large church, he began taking photographs and making notes. He spotted a golden telephone on the vestibule wall and was intrigued with a sign, which read "Calls: $10,000 a minute."
Seeking out the pastor he asked about the phone and the sign. The pastor answered that this golden phone is, in fact, a direct line to
heaven and if he pays the price he can talk directly to God. The
man thanked the pastor and continued on his way. As he continued to
visit churches in Seattle, Dallas, St. Louis, Chicago, Milwaukee, and around the United States, he found more phones, with the same sign, and the same answer from each pastor.
Finally, he arrived in Ohio, upon entering a church in Columbus, Ohio, behold - he saw the usual golden telephone. But time, the sign read "Calls: 35 cents."
Fascinated, he asked to talk to the pastor, "Reverend, I have been in cities all across the country and in each church I have found this golden telephone and have been told it is a direct line to Heaven and
that I could talk to God, but in the other churches the cost was $10,000 a minute. Your sign reads only 35 cents a call. Why?"
The pastor, smiling benignly, replied, "Son, you're in Ohio now, ......You're in God's Country, It's a local call."
That is why they say West Virginia is "Almost Heaven"
May God Bless

There was 3/4 gazillion when we were there about 10 yrs. ago. I have no doubt that area has really grown since then. My son and family are visiting DC wanted to leave and do something else. I told them to go to Front Royal Va. see the caverns and go to the Skyline Drive. Jim

We only stayed one night there. Don't know that particular place. Those are gazillions of motels on the "strip" along with lots of other things.
Hope you have a great trip.

Lisa.
"Great Balls Of Fire" those look good. In the past I've had maters like that, I'm going to have enough but not like that. I would think our dry weather would make them work harder.daughter got us resv.at Microtel in Pigeon Forge, good deal from the web special. Do you know it? is it ok?
Sir James
Morning all from a cloudy and cool 67 degree day here in NC. Had about 0.4" of rain overnight with scattered showers and thunderboomers forecasted.
The chief isn't the only one picking 'maters. Had to get this NS GP38 to help haul them in! Sir James - hope you're jealous!

88, I am also down the shore Labor Day. Where are you going in Arizona? Two summers ago, my family and I went to Scottsdale. It was awesome. I loved it there.
Good morning everyone,
I stayed up late last night, talking on the phone, watching TV, and playing XBOX Live. I finally went to sleep at about 2-3 am. But, I am wide awake suprisingly. Well, off to finish breakfast, and then whatever I can think of. Have a good day everyone.
Morning all,
Southern Border secure.
Chuck, John and Spanky Thanks for the info about Brea train show. I checked my class schedule for this fall and I have class all day on Saturday in Columbus, so I doubt this year would work out.
Got grass at home and neighbors yesterday, if rain hold off cut my friends after work. Received a plasticville house off the bay yesterday for the all aboard layout. Really looking forward to running it at this fall's train show in town. Not as many folks see AF stuff and the all aboard is more scarce.
Going to the Smokies this coming Sunday through Tuesday with the bride. Celebrating our 29th wedding annaversary!!!
Got to go.
HI GIZ,
50 and nice again this morning. Ran a 6 miler and felt good, hands actually were cold and saw my breath a few times in the lower areas.
Finishing up on the trim work today in the bathroom, still no shower door, might be in, in a few weeks?
Have a good one.

Vac. bible school this week, my wife is helping but I passed as it they had enough to handle it. Good morning all,
IIABSDISEI with temps in the 70s. Soccer tournament begins tonight. We lost another one of our good players to injury so we may not make it past the first round, which would really be disappointing after a good regular season.
We had a great weekend. We drove up Saturday to Westfield Center, which is near Lodi and west of Akron. We stayed at the Westfield Inn, which is a fantastic hotel. The room was very plush. We asked at the desk if they served others besides Westfield clients and employees. They do and the rates are quite reasonable for the size of the room and the amenities. We drove east toward Akron to get something to eat and ate at a Ponderosa. Back at the motel, we watched Beckham make his MLS debut. Sunday morning we left early for the track. Although they were serving breakfast, we stopped and got something for Lucas because of the milk allergy. We got into the track ok and managed to see some of the Indycar warmups. We got to the hospitality tent, which was right the pit area. We wandered around the garage area for a while, and then watched the IPS race. They had lunch for us and then the IRL race started. Manning took advantage of some other drivers' mistakes and was running third until the first pitstop, where he dropped to fifth. The weather was absolutely perfect, and the crowd was good. We had plenty to eat and drink and everybody had a good time. I got AJ's autograph as well as Larry Foyt's and Scott Goodyear's. Lucas got Sam Hornish, Roger Penske, and David Letterman. Traffic was a little slow leaving the track as it took 45 minutes to get to I-71 and then it was stop and go until we got to Columbus. We saw where the Crew was playing a game. I thought about stopping, but we were all tired. We got home about 9 PM.
Just the regular fare on the dining car this morning. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a rainy 60 degrees. Woke up to thunder. Going up to 75 today, with rain predicted all day.
Today, I will be doing a few projects on the computer. Running trains, later, and relaxing. Did some track work yesterday, and some cleaning. Got the track cleaned and it was dirty. I need to finish dusting off the cars and buildings. Not much to do outside. Shade tree is not needed today.
Have a safe trip.....Chief.
Well, Dining car is here and well stocked from " points west ". Time to enjoy some breakfast and watch it rain. Later.
Y'all have a great Tuesday.

Morning to All. Another beautiful night for sleeping. Cool temps down in the mid 50's last night. Only going to 82 today. Sweet weather, but we sure could use some of that rain they are getting in the UK, hope Nick and John Baker are staying dry.
Fife - Sure would like some recommendations on the Eats in and around Romney. Not sure if we are day tripping or staying over night. After making so many trips to Mo'town over the years, three hours out and three hours back, we've gotten used to the ride. I believe the train leaves at 11:00 AM and gets back in at 5:00 PM.
Have a great day.

Evening or morning. Off to bed. Had to catch the late Big Love as missed the earler one as packing and getting rifles and amo ready to load tomorrow AM [early]. Dr's apt early and then down to PC's [pilot buddy].
Colin, my Atlas engines are all NS [of course]. Hang in there with your level of expectation in young women. You'll "land" a good one.
Tom P, did not see GRITS on the table at the meeting. Did see a real train [NS] and the short line [CSX] pictures.
Sleep tight all.
