Good evening,

Sir James, Sounds like Lionel is about to deliver.  I'm not one to jump right into something new, but will be interesting to see and hear some reports from the early users, before laying out the big bucks.

Laz, You guys got a lot of layout work done in a short time.  Next time I need help, I'll give you a call.

Nice day today, not to hot.

Last evening was members night at the Harrisburg Chapter of the National Railroad Historical Society. I had a display of 12 PRR engines along with a short history of the prototype and a picture. Only thing I forgot was my camera.
There were no operating O gauge layouts, but there was static display of tinplate and two members who were in outfits that operated military trains, one in WW2 and the other Korea had a display of literature and a train of armor on flat cars that was the length of 3-8' tables. Also 3 operating HO layouts and one N. Lots of other stuff, pictures, lanterns, clocks, signs, etc. It was a fun night, I took my 86 year old uncle who is a former PRR, Penn Central, Amtrak railroader.

Got a call from the LHS (Barry's) that my MTH, PRR L1 Mikado (lettered for Lehigh & New England) has come in. Hope to pick it up tomorrow. The PRR sold some of these to smaller roads after WW2.

Take care,

Everyone here on the forum,

I am sorry to say this, but for some reason, I am feeling that I have been talking to Deputy (before he became nice again) I think I may take a leave from posting.

Have a nice few days, weeks, months?!?! Whatever, I will be back when this finally goes away completely.

Perhaps you can talk to Keith (torpedo1688) about me lying and or the other subject of us. He and me had a nice conversation, maybe you can answer you questions by asking him.

Yall take one thing and beat it to death. 1 sentence can start an argument, I find that a bit sad.

Dennis, Imagine if you was in my place. Imagine if you was me. You wouldnt feel that great with your brother in the hospital with a near death accident. You seem to be what your accusing me to be. You wont let it go. Your trying to make everyone trust you and believe you when your just somebody you say yourself is not. Have a good day.

EVENING ALL,    I'm feeling old tonite, three grandsons and wife to the fair. $1.00 rides today till 6 Pm.Gave them 10 tickets each and sent  them off. 12 year old did a good job of looking after the 7 & 5. It sure made it easier for us. So no trains today but perhaps a little looking around the train room later.

I'll be dropping by later to catch the evening pots so everyone play nice. This thing going on: I have my ideas about it but have decided to keep it to myself for as been mentioned we have a good group here and I like it that way.           Sir James.

Mike C., We still have no word on our soccer season. I remember being beat like that in a game. Funny thing is we ended up beating them our next game.

Chief, you need to slow down with all this traveling. When are you coming back to Harrisburg?

Dave, prayers for your wife.

Dennis W, good news about your dad.

Fife, happy whatever?!

Jim A, congrats for Julia. I can remember when I first rode my bike. The day after I learned without training wheels, I went over my first jump..........and landed it!!

Fifedog,

Actually, not one person ever said anything about disbelieving Grayson's story. The first person to point out the fact that some might not believe him is Grayson himself. Don't you find that curious?

Chief, hope the weather here 'round O'Hare doesn't affect your trip today.  Makes me want to go get the latest Trains mag.

morning from Charlotte Airport.  Got until 11:10 [boarding time].  Bored.  Tried reading Trains Magazine and dozed off.  NO, magazine was not boring.  Just got up too early.  Well First Class to Miami.   Suppose to hook up with SkyRay [some remember him from posting a couple of years] after teaching a class.  Company has shipped CD with training Power Point to hotel.  That is par for them.  OH WELL, I can handle it.  Looking forward to seeing Dennis and meeting Dr. John.  Also got fishing buddy from Birmingham coming down.  Think I'll watch a movie.  Have a good one.  See Yanks, my eyes are on you everywhere I go. Morning guys (gals for Misty and Lisa),

Dad did get home last night.  Cardiologist friend of mine (we did early training together), took good care of Dad and it looks like he should return to work in 6 weeks.  He is now on Plavix, which is a great drug, but any minor bump will bruise big time.  Thanks for the kind thoughts.  It is tough when they are so far away.

Rich, yeah, Phil was a great guy.  Could take a joke and dish it right out as well.  His nephew was my art teacher in elementery school.  Remember when he did the routine for Meatloaf's song?

I have been looking over the Lionel catalogs, thinking hard on one of those new Hudsons.  Also want to load up on some boxcars....of course I am still on train restrictionWhistling [:-^]  Then there is that nice looking Atlantic....Oh well.

God bless y'all!

Dennis

Good morning from a dark and muggy Chicago where it'll probably storm again later. I had a good class last eve. I gave my latest Classic Trains to our conductor when no-one was around on the train ride home. He loves the magazines he sees me reading on the way home. Last night, he was telling me how best to pick up an orders hoop.

John, I was wondering about all those black helicopters on their way to Dallas - look out, Roy!

Kurt, I want one of those 'operating' hula girl flat cars.

Jim, that is great about Julia and running the El Capitan: I love the photos you've posted of that train on the layout. I like the competition between MTH and Lionel - I can see Mike's point in spending money on his lawsuits but I sure wish it weren't necessary. And I sure like MTH's PCC cars - don't have one yet. Good 'ol Phil Rizzuto - I still have his TV commercials for The Money Store burned into my brain...

Grayson, glad to hear Cory is on the mend.

I saw the new Lionel Bigboy run with the legacy control system today, engine is great but the legacy system is really nice. The Bigboy is going to be released by the end of this month. the legacy is almost ready and is expected to be released in the fall but no date was given.

I also did a good deed today as my oldest son wanted one of those train sets I told you about but at $120.00 they are gone already so

I am going to let him have the one I bought. With one exception:it has a boxcar with post war catalog pictures on it.Mine. He agreed to take a different car. Of course he had no choice in the matter. I also found out his wife got a hefty raise so I told him the set price has gone up to his new income level.only fair, right.   Sir James

SIR JAMES, where did you get to see the BIGBOY and Legacy being tested?
