tmccboy - .....thank you.
BTW, Buckeye, that BLUE COMET you sent had a bullet hole in one of the coaches. That's not the same one Bobby Bacala was holding in Jersey, was it...?
Great looking family, Reggie. Can't wait to see her running the trains. Mine started early and she still loves her trains. I bet Momma wants another by that big smile on her face.

Again,
Good morning everyone,
It's an overcast day here today. I did all my outside work for the week yesterday & tuesday. The two hottest day too. I put malorganite on the grass, plants and the hemlocks, mowed the lawn, and raked the dead grass up. Today I can take it slow, because I only have to install printer software on my dad's laptop when he gets home, and then install the printer itself on his desk.
Keith, sounds like you are enjoying your vacation!!! Glad to hear that.
Reggie, you're one lucky man. Count your blessings everyday.
Jim A wow, thanks for sharing that.
I'm going to go get some breakfast, and log back on in a few minutes.
Have a great day everyone.

Doug and mitchelr: I'm having trouble finding hula girls short enough for the 'special project car'. The shortest I've found was 3-4-inches tall. That puts clearance at 6+ inches on standard flat cars with tubular track. I may need to fabricate a recessed flat car. The other angle is to modify an artista figure. I'll keep you posted. It may be in time for Christmas..?
Speaking of which...did anyone hear about damage to the Big Island, Hawaii. A hurricane should have hit last night. It seems to have broken up this am.
Reggie: Beautiful Family!

DON,
I bang my head when in school when kids can't read a ruler when they are in 7th through 12th grade. Seems like weve missed the boat somewhere? Sometimes its better just to do it yourself.

They are both keeprs, Reggie!
REGGIE, nice PRINCESS you have there along with your QUEEN.
HI GIZ,
73 and rain today here to get to 90 with tstorms this afternoon. Maybe GOLF? Yesterday went shooting with BROTHER. We shot my Sig 229 and his Bullpup S&W .45 wheel gun along with his Glock 17 with laser site. The laser site was cool don't even have to aim just point the dot and squeeze. Made a 15 shoot pattern about 4 inches accross. Really cool got to get one of em.
BUCKEYE, LOL!!! I still remember when that first (magazine issue) came out. Was the start of OTTS. CHUCK if you give me a ride in the OTTS JET, I wiil autograph your issue free. Love the article about making a LAYOUT FOR OLD GEEZER IN NC.

Good Morning To All,
Lots of posts since last nite and its hard to avoid the "issue" but I am trying. I do have a very strong urge to say something though.
We have a beautiful summer sun rise and 86 forcast for today. Still no rain since I've returned from you know where. Going to cut the wide blade grass today and check the train room later.
I hope all have a beautiful day and Texas, heads up. Sir James

Chuck, Yes, you need to hang on to that copy of CTT. I hear it has already become a collectors' item. Bring it with you the next time we meet and I will autograph it for you. I'm sure Tom and Laz will do the same. Of course Laz charges big bucks for his autograph so that he can feed the bear.

Good morning all,
Wow!! You don't sign on for a few hours and look at how many posts were made! Dave, I am very glad to hear your wife got her medicine. I am sorry to hear it took such extreme action, but sometimes that happens. At least you have a good result. Went to the Chrysler preview at the local dealership last night to look at the new minivan. They have droppped the short version, which I think is a mistake. We have the longer one now, but we started off with two shorter ones. I also went to the YMCA to do weights. One thing I forgot to mention at the state fair was seeing a completely built up Erector Hudson with the original box. It was in an antique exhibit and quite impressive. I see where the dining car arrived from "Points East". I hope everyone (especially on the pot) has a good day.
PS The first home Greensburg high school soccer game is tonight. The girls are at home and the boys are on the road again. I can not wait!
PPS It is hot and humid in SE Indiana again.
Keep on training,

You just have to have one. Since I have a 4-year degree I'm probably overqualified, even if that degree is in journalism. Journalism has nothing to do with health care, but a journalist would ask the doctor some questions and we can't have that.

Dave,A few years back I worked for an insurance carrier in thier IT department. I had the misfortune of meeting many of their case workers due to the 1,000s of errors they constantly received. I also had to support one of their case work applications... that is how I know how little education they require, it really is sad. You have these very lowly educated people who feel the need to exert power over people and it is really sad. Your wife's case is not the worst I have heard about, although it is disgusting none-the-less. My father, who is a diabetic with high blood preasure, anxiety, and also a crohn's sufferer, has an almost monthly run in with his insurance people. His G.I. Specialist is constantly having to call them to explain why he needs to be on the different medications he is on. A few years ago they refused him the medication that absorbs stomach acids and helps to reduce his crohn's flare-ups. Without it my father is in constant pain due to increased gas build-ups in his intestines. Well he had to go 3 days without it and at the start of the 3rd day he couldn't get out of bed to go to work, he was just dibilitated. My Mother called the insurance people and told them that if they didn't authorize his medicines and he suffered one hour longer then she was seeking legal advice, she called the VP for his company and told him the same (he was hired by them knowing he had crohn's and couldn't be without the meds), about 20 minutes later the pharmacy called and told he to come pick up his meds. I still think she should have filed a suit against the insurance company due to his pain and suffering, I've never in my life seen my dad that bad off...
Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a clearing 65 degrees. Big storm, here too, last night. Lots of thunder and lightening. Looks like it is over with. Going up to 88, today. Sun is trying to shine.
Today, I am taking it a little easy. Been busy the last 2 days. Have a few things to do around the house and then, maybe, I can relax outside. I may even find time to run trains, later.
Fifedog....
Dining Car is here, and ready. No storm delay. Time for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Thursday.
Thanks for the coffee Mitch, after last night, geeez I NEED IT!!!
Fifie, thanks bud. At least I made the top 10!
Another hot & steamy up to 94 feels like 110, been like that for a week now!!!
I got a SWEEET picture of a NB (what else?) FEC at the local crossing. I'll post later...It really looks nice.
Talk to ya all later...
Rich
Good morning, all.
David Farquhar, Congrats on a job well done visa vi getting your wife's meds covered. I sincerely hope that what ever condition is causing your wife's nausea is not serious, and that she regains her health soon.
Colin, my dad fought in the South Pacific during WWII and had a ship he was on sunk while in battle. He didn't talk about the war much, but when he did, you could see why he came back a different person. He also served in the Korean conflict. The only good wars are the ones never fought if you ask me.
Don, your boards are all 3/8" too small? Not something to get stressed out about. Pull all the boards to the front of the layout so that the gaps are in the back. Go back to HD or Lowes and buy your self a 2x4 sheet of plywood or MDF and cut filler strips with a radial or jig saw. I've purchased thes "handy panels", and they are only a few bucks. Problem solved. Next time you have wood cut, bring a tape measure to measure the cut piece before you pay for it. Another problem solved. You now owe me a dime for solving your problems. Don't make me come after you for it!
My Lionel Maine Central box car arrived from Californy last night. Very nice! I have a starter set yellow boxcar that I was going to repaint as MEC, but bought blue paint instead and will make it a Boston and Maine car. My local hobby store is going out of business and everything is 50% off. Great deals, but I'm not happy to see it close. My best source of ridiculously cheap post war merchandise, but also a wonderful place to visit and get supplies.
Morning. Yawn !! Big storms last night. Happy Birthday fifedog. Late night last night. Was up reading the instruction manual for the OTTS plane. Reminds me of the TMCC manual, or was it the other way around.
Chuck, your Indians finally didn't screw it up.
Mitch, I must respectively disagree with your comments about the Chief being up too early. At the Mayor of the Great City of Roseyville, he should be on the job 24/7. He should be sleeping at city hall on an old army cot in a jail cell. The citizens deserve his every waking moment.
Reggie, yes keep posting photos of your layout and daughter. In fact everyone should post more photos.
Here's one I have been saving:
Morning to all
Hope everyone has a calm day here in the pot. Made a fresh pot. With everyone so on edge yesterday I thought about making decaf, but thought that might get me banned
Chief- you are up way too early my friend.
Kurt - congrats on the little one sleeping through the night. My sister and BIL have finally reached the point where their little guy is sleeping through most nights. They were starting to look a little sleep deprived for a while.

I'm ready Chief!!!...Wait... that's south...I'll stay here. I saw what the south trip did to Sir James I. We prayed for my youngest to sleep thru the night last night...and she is....After you've done this for a few months, it's 'normal'.
John: Haven't heard anything about the remote control trains here. Denver was the start, with a UP switchman, going under a car.
