Greetings everyone.
Jim, I understand your loss. Buried our faithful under the trees last fall. She is surely missed.
Don, Great joke.
Bad day at the office so to speak. The corn and pumpkins seedlings needed irrigating today. Set about turning on the irrigation water for the first time this year, only to have the 3" irrigation valve break off. Lots of fun trying to use the key to turn off the stop and waste valve under a 3" shower. Glad it was 70 today.
Here's to a better tomorrow.

BRENT - those adhesive hangers Dennis was talking about are called COMMAND. They really do work well but are not low profile and may protrude too far from the wall. Maybe John had used other types that are just basically a very sticky tape - those will pull the paint and sheet rock off.

Zeke, Really great pictures are they in Shasta County?
John (csxt30) Glad you like the Sony classes, I've been trying to get tuition assistance from the VA but havn't had any success. I have enjoyed all the classes from there, I've done some on video, audio, home entertainment, computers, etc.. They have all been worth the time.
I was too late to post on Photo Sunday, so I put up a deliquent post with some pictures. Got home tonight got my G Scale track cleaning car couplers changed and it is now running, also put a chuff sound in the LGB Mogul I have, doesn't whistle yet but it smokes, and chuffs. Tomorrow work on the lights on the passenger cars.
Great pictures Zeke !!

Morning folks. Been up and brewed a fresh pot at 4:30 AM. Couldn't sleep any more as the Mrs. was pretty loud. She arrived home yesterday after the non-wedding - wedding party in FL. She had a great time with her brothers and sisters. Today is moving day... going to Morgantown to move the Boy back home for the summer. Dread making the round trip and the clean-up mess in one day. Then we are back to Morgantown Saturday for graduation on Sunday.
Found out yesterday that the job I interviewed for last week is not being announced tomorrow. Seems that they will now announce it on May 23rd. The wait is dreadful. At this point i just want to know... I guess two more weeks won't kill me.
Have a great day.

Good morning from New England!
Another T-riffic day on tap here. Temps in the low 80s and plenty of sun. Will mow the lawn and try to clean out the train room tonight.
A visit to Dr. Tinker might also be in the cards.
And lest I forget, how about a great big Happy Birthday to Melissa Gilbert today?! She is 43 and is most remembered as the little girl (Laura) on Little House on the Prairie. Do a Google image seach of her now. She's done some serious growing up!!!

HI GIZ,
Beatiful here today at 44 going to get to 72.
Nice run in the woods yesterday 4 miles with dog. Deer ticks are going to be bad this year already picked off 2 on me and 3 on the dog.
MITCH, hope you get the job.
BUCKEYE what was your biggest fish? Was the CHIEF doing the rowing when you was trolling?
Have a good one.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a sunny 44 degrees. Going up to 82 today, with sun all day.
Today we are driving up to Cambridge, to do some shopping and pick up a few things. Wife has to stop at Art studio and get her art picture, from her classes. And groceries, which is a bummer. Maybe , later I will be able to relax in train room. I will need it after shopping. Gas prices are still on the rise. Over 3 bucks a gallon now. This is nuts.
Dining Car has rolled in and is ready. Time for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Tuesday.

Mornin' fellas.Tired here... up late working on my school paper... Don, love the pics of the Elevated track! The all-door box cars are awesome too, and again thanks for the info and pics of the cleaning cars!Mitch - have safe trips to WVU! And I hope you get the job!Laz - Careful of those ticks. Saw a new report that Lime Disease can take up to a year to be diagnosed and if it takes that long it is typically fatal?Buckeye - Glad to see you make it back from Kentucky in one piece. Notice you have no photographic evidence that you were fishing, and caught something, so till then you were just lazying around on a lake in a boat drinkin some beers. Chief - You sound like my mother's 'retired' cousin. Until he had a heartattack he was working 40 hour weeks after he retired. Before that he worked 60 hour weeks. He was a chicken farmer for most of his life. If you are looking for a good BBQ chicken recipe try this:1 egg (wisked)1 cup vegetable oil - add after wisking egg2 cups red cider vinegar2 Tablespoons Poultry Seasoning2 teaspoons Black Pepper1 teaspoon SaleThis was the recipe that his father developed when he was doing BBQs for large gatherings back in the 30's and 40's. It is a blend of The Pennsylvania State University and Cornell University BBQ Chicken Sauces. It takes great, but tastes better if you do half chickens over a large pit using charcoal and hickory. Just make sure you watch your chicken because flare-ups are common with this sauce!
Good morning from beautiful OHIO. Gorgeous day. Not hot, sticky and stinky like the weather in NC.
The Ohio economy is going to take a big hit. Ford has announced the closing of plants near Cleveland.
88 - Too busy fishing to take photos, plus we put on the rain-suits several times. When the boat is going 40 MPH and it is raining you find out quickly the quality of your rain-suit.
Municipal mayoral election today. Is the Chief running today for the mayor of Roseyville?

A quick good morning to Y'all,
Cool here this morning, down to upper 40s, and high 70s later. That will be good for the firefighters on the line here in South Georgia. The winds from the past few days have had their toll on the guys and caused some spreading of the blaze. The timber companies have lost a lot of trees, so for those getting ready to build benchwork, the price of timber will certainly go up.
Hope Y'all have a great day.

Morning all
Beautiful in Southern Ohio!
Great shots Zeke, is it a Park?
Had lots of fun with the grandkids yesterday, we wore ourselves out playing and planting outside. It was fun. Going to cut grass for a friend and car clean-up, then there is always study. Got the papers done for this week so just reading now.
Take care all

Morning all. Lets see if I remember all the replies I want to post. If I forget someone, forgive me [I'd love to forget Buckeye ].
Mitch, praying you get the job. If not, the Lord has a good reason why and something else will come your way that is better. Have faith.
Brent, might try the sause Saturday on pork loin [wife's whole family is coming for hot dogs and pork bar-be-que, that is a big bunch of folks too].
Buckeye, not hot and sticky and humid in NC. Actually windy and dry. Think NC got moved to Chicago. Coast is having big NE'er with hawling winds. We did have a mist of rain a few minutes ago but dried up from wind. BTW: can't take pictures of fish you don't catch.
We made the big coup yesterday with County EMS. They were going to take Rolesville's EMS second duty truck away. We bought it and we finance it b ut County now run fire and EMS. They thought they could run us but County Commissioners turned it around and they suddenly agreed with us. County Commissioners voted in our favor yesterday. Actually a big upset tot he system but allowed the Fire/EMS Leaders tosave face.
Think it is train time.
[BTW: filing for mayor is August, vote Nov. and winner takes office first meeting in Dec. for 4 year term. may not run, I still have 2 1/2 years term on Board. mayor would be almost full time job and no Pro Mariner].

Does that mean if you get the Mayor Position you won't be coming to HARRISBURG? Which means "NO MORE GRITS"!!!!!!!
RUN CHIEF RUN!!
Chief, you are right. You can't take pictures of the fish you didn't catch. In our case, we didn't even put the camera in the boat due to the weather. I did get to do something I had never done before and that was cut my partners line when he hooked a fish that was too big to get in the boat. He unfortunately hooked a huge Carp. Before it broke the surface, we thought he had the biggest bass ever caught in Kentucky.

When I go fishing It is my luck to always catch a turtle I like to fish for pearch at Lake Erie, localy I go to Alum Creek, Deer Creek and Hargus lake(not sure if spelled right). As a kid we used to go to Hideaway hills near Lancaster Ohio, wish we would have kept our lot as they had a nice lodge/resturant and a pool as well as many lakes and ponds to fish at.

Hi guys,
Worked outside all day today. Wore out. Going to a NRHS meeting this evening with a friend. Don't know what the program is, guess I will find out. Tomorrow is TCA Museum day which is good, don't think I can stand two days in a row working in the garden/lawn/greenhouse.
Take care,
