Good Evening,

Kept thinking today is Friday, but its not.  Anyway, no exciting news on the El Camino, the radiator bracket and hood are on back order.  But, I can live with it.  They are starting work on the suspension on Monday.  The right front wheel was bent, did you guys no they can have it reshapped!  I didn't know that.

Did some yard work yesterday, and still working on my photo project, getting closer to being done.  A LOT of time spent, I doubt that anyone will ever notice.

Banks, I can't fathom the loss of such a little one.  Valid or not, the guilt feelings must be horific!!  Home the family and manage thru all this.  Espically with one on the way!!  Prayers for them in a great way!

Kev, I would rather go to the Dentist than phone shopping!  Society today is making them so essential anymore!  The basic purpose has been long forgot!

As everything is being closed again here, think we will have a quiet week-end at home.  Spend some time with the pool, suppose to be 95+, so that will be fine.  No fireworks though $1000, fine.

Even when I get the Camino back, the trip I was thinking about (Seattle and Reno), probably wont happen.  Given the Aunt I would like to see is 88/89, and my brother has COPD, it wouldn't be a good idea for me to go there.  So maybe just go out to the desert and contemplate the stars.

Take care all and have a SAFE weekend!!!!

Don

So maybe just go out to the desert and contemplate the stars.

Or sit in the backyard by the pool and contemplate your bellybutton. Dunce

Good evening all,

In the space of less than 2 weeks, I have been to a high school graduation party for 2 my twin nieces, welcomed a 7th grandchild to the family and learned a vibrant, active, supposedly healthy daughter of a cousin of mine who has RAN the mini with her two sons passed away from a massive cardiac arrest.  She was 42, barely a year older than my older daughter.  Events like the preceding have led to me not posting for a while.  If the 500 is held on August 23rd and I am able to attend (sitting ANYWHERE), I will be back here.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Mornin' boys.  Sunny & 67, heading to the 90's by noon.  Need to touch-up some patio furniture with flat black spraypaint.  Then I'll probably retreat to the cool confines of the train room for the rest of the day.

Youngest Princess and I finished the new garden, as my lovely wife supervised.  She's happy now.

Cheapclassics - Congrats on the new grandclassic!

Mike C. Congrats.

Don good news on El Camino and smart decision on not making that trip.

Been a little under the weather past two days. Upset stomach, feeling little nausea, and lots of gas.

Nothing train wise.

Hot and humid seems to be the only thing as of late. Put down 16 Gal of Roundup on the lane edges and any other areas where weeds are popping through. Should do it.

Mike C. Congrats on #7. We are at #6 and I think it will stop there. Youngest will be 7 next week, oldest is 20. Next will be Great Grandkids. Surprise

The SIL is telling me that the Iphones are a pain to use compaired to an Android. Huh?

Don I am already sick of thinking about getting a new phone! Ick!

Be good.

I had an old flip phone that when I say old I mean OLD. It was thru Virgin Mobile and when they were bought out/merged with Boost it was just too expensive to keep. The BetterHalf wanted me to get one of those wizbang fancy phones but I don't need nor doI want one. The only thing I want mine for is if I'm out and about and my crappy heart malfunctions requiring phone service, hello 911. Ended up getting a very inexpensive flipper,Tracfone, and a very low cost plan,  again I don't want nor need texting, internet, photo sharing or any of that stuff.  My 2 Cents

A "Doro" Consumer Cellular flip-phone is what I've got, got it at Sears about three years ago.  I only use it for phone calls, that's all I need.

I was in a Wendys about a year or so and a guy on line with me saw me pull it out.  "Where'd you get that?" he asked, so I told him.  He pulled out his smart-phone, or some such and said "My daughter talked me into getting THIS!  I HATE IT!  I'm gonna go flip-phone shopping as soon as I find out who's got 'em!"

Well Guys I caved in and today I called Consumer Cellular, got a Motorola Moto E, I like the voice reconition thing, just tell it what you want.  A Consumer Cellular Link flip for wifey. Both will blue tooth link to the Colorado truck. Both were only $ 116.88 with tax  and we shall see where we go from there. If I hate it I will get a flip and give the smarta$$ phone to one of the grand kids. Wink Unlimited talk and text with 10GB of data. Whatever that is. Laugh $25.00 less than my old Sprint account that did nothing and worked no place out here, or up north and kept our phone numbers.

Thanks for all the replies, It helped. I did the Android thing because the kids and neighbor have that so I can lean on them for help. None of them have iphones so I would be on my own. I am sure they are both good, just what you get used to.

Same weather here SJ. Way to hot to early here.

I got a set of Flex Forks for the Hustler Raptor zero turn mower. A big help to my kidneys. Yes

Cut the east end and done for the day.

No 4th plans. We have decided to stay home.

Dennis, the guy next door to the east sells fireworks that are HUGE so he is giving samples explosions to people for about a month before the 4th. Lucky we have not had to replace any windiows yet. Laugh He also does profesional firework events for groups and stuff. If his pole barn ever caught on fire holy cow it would be bad!

You guys be safe.

Mornin' boys.  Sunny and 71 in the Potomac Highlands.  Starting SPF may have been the height of initiative for me today...

Yesterday, the Middle Princess drove us back to Baltimore for a family cookout.  Had a great time playing with grandsons in the pool, eating yummy food, getting my beer fix "it might take one or it might take 6", and even grabbed the mic for karaoke.

Buckeye - Great photo!

95 and jumping.  Humid as usual.  Maybe go to farms tomorrow or Wed.  Guessers say 80% chance of showers both days.  Who knows as they miss it constantly.

Mow today.  Yes, it grows fast.

Have a good one.

Good Afternoon - Hope all had a great 4th.

Got up Saturday morning to feed the ferals and pulled my back out.  I was kneeling down and it's still painful.  Took a trip to urgent care, missed the flyover but made it back for fireworks in the back yard.  Not a bad day, just not very fun....lol.
Been a zombie since Saturday night, muscle relaxers are not my friend......

Spent the day in bed Sunday so nothing was accomplished.

Regular work day, I'm walking around as much as possible, sitting too long hurts when I stand back up.  I'll be picking up Jenni from the garage to have her power steering box replaced before going to Carlisle.  Tomorrow is a trip to Allentown, PA for a shop visit.  Then I'll pick her back up at 430 to get her Charger.

90's and steamy today- already the humidity is ridiculous...

I am the monster in your head...And I thought you'd learn by now, It seems you haven't yet.

Afternoon all

Come down here if you want to complain about humidity, you can have that and high temps all in one package.

Ever since my open-heart surgery, I get tired easily. I needed to have a cement ramp about 8" high at one end to about 1" high at the other and about 4' long and 3' wide removed. My friend who normally helps me isn't available, and they want to bring my shed in. :)

Well, they're doing some construction next door at the school. I got one of them to get a guy witch drives a big forklift type vehicle to come over pick it up and dispose of it for me. It would have cost me $60 for the jack-hammer plus tax and what I pay my friend, So $50 later ( which he didn't ask for ) and It's done and I saved about $25+

So now when there ready to bring it, it's ready for them.

Otherwise not much going on here.
