Good evening all,

Did work the entire day today although I'm still not 100%.  Fortunately, the day was not too eventful.  The temps were in the 30s today and we had some rain.  I think the winds were kicking a bit too.  Yes, I would love for Menard's to pick up the RMT line and I hope somehow they are in talks about it.  Especially since I decided to use Snap Track for the current layout and wanted to use it on future ones.  I may have to reconsider that now.

Jim - As Doug mentioned, I have the Photobucket app on my iPhone.  It has an option to automatically upload my photos.  I can also turn off this function and do it manually.  Either way, I just have to have my phone connected to a wi-fi service for it to work.

Good night,

Joe

Good Afternoon

Well, everything has been reinstalled and reauthorized in my new DAW so I am finito of that.

Everytime I come here to the laptop Lucy has to be cuddled...mmmm...she must be channeling Spring.

I managed to take that shot just as she pounced out of that box..she is funny in play mode.

Anyhow...off to the trainroom to relay some more handlaid tracks.

JTrains

As a side note: I've been thinking about buying my first PW steam engine.  Looking for something that I could get off Da Bay in the $75-150 range.  Paint can be a bit chipped but no missing parts.  Something in the x-6-x or x-8-x range. Solid runner and smoker - doesn't have to be really collectable, just a good runner.  Perhaps something like a 2046. Any suggestions on what I should start keeping an eye out for?

JT, if your up to doing some work or painting a casting you may even get into a 736 Berkshire. But Like Fife said a 2055 Hudson would be nice. So would the 665, 2065, 685 Hudsons. The 681 Steam Turbine is a great Loco as well and will pull stumps as is the 682 and the 682 has a better drive gear action than the 681 but neither of the Steam Turbines gear drives come close to the gear action of the Hudsons and Berkshires.

There are tons of Post War Hudsons and most are all about the same so just plug in Lionel Post War Hudson on e-bay or Choo-Choo auctions and go to it.

Check this out.   http://www.choochooauctions.com/cgi-bin/ua/item.pl?item=144833

Happy hunting.

Aloha. Grey today and warmish (20s) but it didn't snain overnight. The bride still took my car instead of hers. Ooooh, Roy, that brass engine sounds like a good project. Jim, try moving your iPhone photos to a desktop, then upload them into Photobucket. That works better for me. Photobucket has an app for iPhone though that takes care of this 'automatically'

Morning,

30 out there and gray now and falling temps all day. Then will warm up for five days then tank again. Got to love it.

Not a lot planned today, got the pot roast in the crock pot for dinner and may go wash the salt off the truck later.

RT, hope they get it figured out for you. Take care.

I need to check out the Menards 6 pack.

Update: WOW those are nice and only $22.00 each hard to beat that.

The four pack of flats with tankers on them is even better for me.  I am thinking you can sure make a nice train out of those offers.

Mornin' Fellas

Mother Nature dumped 31 inches of the white stuff on us! Had the driveway cleared by Noon on Sunday, but took the county till yesterday at 5:00pm to clear our road - which was only one lane wide. The secondary roads aren't much better. When I took the kids to daycare this morning they were back making things a little wider, but the secondary roads are still a joke.

Now we are potentially in for another winter storm this Friday night into Saturday. Lovely.

JT - I love my 2020 and 671. The 2020 (no Magnatraction) can be found in your price range, and sometimes a 671 (Magnatraction) can be found in that range if you are dilligent. DO NOT SETTLE they can be found very good condition in that range (upper end), you won't be happy if you do settle on a lesser specimine - once you run em you'll be hooked.

Morning all. That 6 pack of cars from Menards sure look nice. Just can't pull the trigger right now as have 2 bids on other things going and other obligations going on if there still around in march ( which I doubt ) I might be able to but not now oh well.

Have a home inspector for the insurance company coming today and then we close this afternoon so we have our plans for the day set.

V.A. tomorrow for the tenderness around the Defibrillator and the stabing pains into my left arm ( funny never had this until they replaced the lead to my defibrillator ) This all started about 2 weeks ago or so.

Demay - wholeheartedly agree.  I'm not into commemorative cars, but that is one awesome looking 6 pack.  Gonna see a lot of those on Memorial Day, D Day, Veterans Day, etc...  Menards smacked it out of the park!

Mornin' boys.  Mostly cloudy and 26 here in the Mid-Atantic region.  Took two days, but have dug most of fifedom out.  Youngest princess's boyfriend is coming over today to "help" her shovel.  I left 2 areas to tire him out. Devil  Would like to get down to yatchet, but not sure I need to.  Wind probably kept snow from piling up on deck.

Good Morning from balmy (40+F) Southern Ohio

I have to work 3 extra 12 hour nightshifts to cover Senior Supervisor position.

Tried to mess around with the Photobucket and got the images from my iPad to the desktop, but not having any luck with the iPhone to desktop, keeps wanting a passcode and I don't know where that would be. Yes I am very IT challenged.

The boy had a good game last night, not much in scoring but performed well defensivly. I did not get to the game but that is what bride communicated to me.

Buckeye- You OK out there? Did that cough thing get worse?

Have a God filled day and may God bless

Good evening all,

Quiet but good day at work.  Tomorrow will be busy.  Got the March CTT today.  Excellent issue.   Watched Jane the Virgin tonight.  Kevin, I have to agree with you on Menards and RMT.  Would be a great match and not as much drama as CP and NS.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

I sure do like those WWII tribute cars Menards released today.

Joe, how cool would it be if Menards picked up the RMT line-up??

 Get better soon.

Good evening all,

Didn't work a full day today as I was a bit under the weather.  Feeling better now and should be 100% tomorrow.  It was definitely warmer here than it has been, I think in the 40s.  The ten day forecast looks too warm to me and no snow in sight.  I sure do like those WWII tribute cars Menards released today.

Have a great night,

Joe

Beautiful day here today. Hit 63. Cools down below norms tonight for next few days and possibly 70 next weekend?

Staying busy with projects. Hope to get back to some personal train projects in next week or so. I have a NYC brass ROW 040 tank loco that I started to install an ERR board, sound, and electro couplers last fall and got diverted.

Have a great evening all!

Aloha. I love it when 25 degrees feels warm. I had a quiet weekend - served again at church and then tinkered with digital tv antennas.

I heard there was a little snow falling out east. JT, I would add my recommendation of the 2055 as a great engine. I love the new spur!  Doug, sorry I missed watching 027 day at the museum!

Morning all Brother near York said he got 30+ inches of snow. It's 36 going up to 55 today   :). No real plans I have a set of billboards and there inserts coming in today ( no original box but this gives me extras to fulfill my other two sets which are in sets. )

Getting anxious for tomorrow so we can finally close and get this behind us.

Need to call the V.A. in Augusta and make a appointment with them to be seen as I believe I have something going from the operation when the replaced the lead as that's the pain I'm getting I think is tied to that as it's seem to be right at the defibrillator going to my left arm.  But need to get time and all for closing first don't want them to clash I've been putting up with it nor about 2 weeks I can for another week if I need to. I would rather go after the first ( payday lol ) as I could get the first purchase of flooring for the house here ( my room the smallest room) ( well what I call my room )

No real train news at present Been cleaning up stuff in here to make room in this room boy did that ever need to be done I have found a room again lol. Still have a little ways to go but it's getting there.

Hope you all have a good day talk to you all later

Good to see you back on Joe. Glad you got the Airforce car you wanted. I was offering JT a 2055 that I had gone over and would again before shipping about 1/2 way between you two lol. I also offered him a 675 and possible a 736 that once gets fixed he could have as he mentioned a xx-8-xx and there 4-8-4 and real nice engines. ( I only have 3 of them lol )

Well Carolina is going to be in it yeah and N.E. isn't yeah again. ( sorry just don't like them not really a sports type person but once in a while it comes out in me)

Hope all had a good weekend and those who got snowed to no end I hope your able to get out and around by now.

Take care all

Good evening all,

Somewhat sunny today.  Did 4 miles walking in 1:09.51, which is a margin of 2 minutes for the minimum pace for the Mini.   Leg was fine while walking.  Tightens up afterward.  Heating pad is wonderful.   Rested the rest of the day.  Did watch Chelsea beat Arsenal 1-0.  Another long week ahead of me at work.   Oh well.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Good evening all,

The trip to Florida went well, but I sat at the Atlanta airport for about 12 hours yesterday due to delays.  I made it home around midnight.  It was a bit chilly today but nothing unreasonable.  Didn't matter as I stayed inside to watch football.  I am glad Denver won and I hope they win the whole thing.  While I was gone, a recent eBay purchase arrived.  It is a Lionel Archive Collection 6464 Series 3-Pack (6-39273).  I wanted this set for a long time because it contains the US Air Force boxcar (6-39275).  It is in mint condition and I was the only one who bid on it.

JT - I agree with Fife, the 2055 is nice.  I wasn't as patient and picked up one about two years ago for $125.  It is in great condition; it runs and smokes like a champ.

RT - Sorry for your loss.

Evening all from snowy (~8" on the ground) and cool (28F) Southern Ohio,

It got down to 6F last night, but the road crews have done a really good job of clearing the snow.

Got off this morning then served at 9am and 11 am Mass then home to bed, up at 4pm and off to work again by 5:45p. I'm picking up 3 extra nightshifts so next day off will be Thursday, then Friday start dayshift. Real possibility of getting laid off in Feb so making hay now. Rest can come later. Kids are stepping up helping bride around the house.

Stay warm and safe and may God bless

Oh I got it RT. Boss hog did not have enough pull to get them there in less than 8 hours. So I was just poking fun.  Wink

Wife's stupid vaporizer puked water on the floor the water leaked through to the basement and into the CO detector set it off in the middle of the night and now it is trashed. When I checked it out last night the ladder broke and it is trash to. Bang Head So had to go to Menards and get a new one and as you would know they don't make the same one so I had to re-wire everything. No pulg and play. Changed all of the back up batteries onthe rest as long as I was at it. Yes

JT any Hudson or Berk would fill the bill. Burks are a bit higher but you should be able to snag a Hudson fo what you want to spend.

Be carful digging that heavy wet stuff you guys.

For a x 8 x you probably need to expand your funds a little there going for a little more than that at bottom just to be honest the ones I have seen now I sent you a message  that might help you thou. I might even have a couple of other ideas even better. just thought of.
