Aloha. Another beautiful day in Paradise uh Chicago. A nice weekend was had - hope the bride felt celebrated as a mom. Isn't it Hudson John's birthday? Hope you have a great day! Laz, the consensus among Bears fans is they picked OK. Their highest pick was a CB (when they really needed a safety - but doesn't everybody?), then two DTs, a RB, QB they'll try to convert and a punter. The defense got some help...

Good Morning from Blueberryhill.......

Good evening all,
Realized I forgot to post yesterday. Indy GP was good. Had great seats on one of the viewing mounds. AJ's team salvaged at 9th for Sato, and Plowman would have had a top 10 as well, but for some late gremlins. Weather was good, but grandkids were too busy enjoying each other's company to watch a wheel turn. Younger daughter and son also went to Indy 11 game. Mowed the yard today and got lunch for the wife for Mother's Day. Practice opened today for oval at IMS. Not much else going on. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana

So many roads, so little time.
Hudson - Actually, the youngest princess wound up making pancakes for everyone.
Good Morning from Blueberryhill........
It is a foggy 58 degrees. Going up to 78 today with sunshine.
Today is an easy day. I plan on spending a few hours in the train room today and relaxing. Not much else new.
Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there.
Cheerios on the dining car for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Sunday.
Aloha. Happy National Train Day to you all! Look forward to heading out to the Illinois Railway Museum in a few weeks. A nice warm day yesterday continues today - really making the dandelions grow tall. Getting the middle boy set to head out to his summer job at Cedar Point amusement park in Ohio tomorrow. Then off to serve as video director at church. Good shooting Laz! I have one of those umbrella policies with State Farm - really makes a difference.
Morning. Sunny but turning mostly cloudy with a slight chance of a shower this afternoon late.
Shoveled garden beds and set out the three big tomato plants.
Yesterday, went to tractor. Said, "If you crank right up and run good, I'll use you to disk and plow garden. If not, big tiller." It fired up. Worked like a charm. Only crank it once a month to keep it going.
Mowed both neighbors' yards and mine after servicing the mower.
Had a full day of it yesterday.
Now off to the High School for festival and following the cow for cow patty bingo. Two hours of that unless she poops real quick.
Then I have MIL meal at local steak house.
Have a good one.
PS: LAZ, got a big one first week of turkey season. Then could not get them to get close enough for a shot. Word got passed among the flock, EAGLE eye is here.
Good Morning from Blueberryhill...
Good Morning, Joe....
It is a cloudy and humid 64 degrees. Going up to 72 with a chance of a thunderstorm, later.
Today is an easy day. I have to take the dog to the groomer this morning and then do a few chores around the house. Then, I can relax and enjoy my Birthday.
Usual breakfast on the dining car.
Y'all have a great Saturday.
Mornin' boys. Mornin' English. Overcast and 65 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Hopefully won't rain on me as I'm moving middle princess back home from college. Gonna miss our frequent forays along the Eastern Shore. She starts nursing school @ University Center in the fall.
Attended a funeral this week in Philadelphia. While driving on 495, saw (I'm guessing) CSX trackage running alongside the Navy Yard. The oil tank train (K040?) was being lead by a BNSF unit, and with the row of cruisers tied up nearby, thought how cool would that be to recreate on a layout...(as a kid, I was all about plastic navy boat kit building)
Turned in a couple more MTH engines to be repaired (boards = $$) at M.B.Klein, and found the RMT Bethlehem Steel S4 I'd been looking for. Right place, right price, right time.
to all on the mend.
Very quiet day at work and got a lot of work done. Took wife out for her birthday tonight. Will be watching Grimm shortly. Both Sarah's and AJ's drivers are starting toward the back for tomorrow's race. I hope everyone has a good day.
Been busy turkey hunting this week. Yesterday morning called in 4 gobblers and missed at 40 yrds. This morning, Called in 4 gobblers and 2 hens. I got into woods at 545 AM, and birds started gobbling at about 605AM. It was about 17-18 lbs. Had a 4 inch beard. Shot him at about ten yards away. He and another smaller Jake were pecking my decoys. The big boy TOM with about a ten inch beard, was about 30 yards behind these two, with another smaller Tom and two hens. Beggars can't be choosers so I took the bigger one. I missed one yesterday but I think this was the same group from yesterday. Probably was the best two days in the woods my entire hunting career. Lots o fun.
CHUCK & BUCKEYE, TGIF!!!!
Good afternoon all,
Chief, they only cover a few guns, not an arsenal.
Hudson John, thanks for the best wishes for my wife. She has been doing pretty good this week but I am with her all the time now or have someone else there. Her endoscopy went well yesterday all though someone must have got their wires crossed on the time. We were told be there at 11:00AM but the doctor did not show up until 12:30PM. The procedure went well. There was no evidence of her lymphoma getting any larger but they took some biopsies too be on the safe side. We will get the results later.
Got new Lionel catalogs yesterday from Charles Ro but would rather have a new MTH catalog. However prices too high on both.
Our former business manager for our church passed away Tuesday after a long illness. Funeral next week. He was a very nice man. R.I.P.
later,

Hello there,
TGIF!!!!!!!!!!
Got to be careful what I wish for. Mid 80's here yesterday and today. Thunderboomers on tap for later. Grass is growing like he** and no time to cut it.
My advice on homeowners insurance........Make sure you have replacement cost on structure and contents. If not you'll get next to nothing, especially for contents. Learned that the hard way in November of 1980 when we had a house fire.
Best get busy...back when I get a chance.
Prayers for those in need

Morning. Sunny and hot. Garden being torn up and turned under. Late getting big part started but will be OK. Got three tomato plants over three feet tall with blooms waiting in greenhouse to be transplanted. Others will catch up fast.
Mower to service later and mow [yes, everyone's grass].
Dennis, here, you can't beat NC Farm Bureau with combined vehicle and home owners. Have to pay a yearly membership [$25] but rates are real low. Claims are covered and no hassle. I would think CA has a Farm Bureau. OH, you don't have to be a farmer. They cover my boats and trains. Also a few guns. Biggest gripe is I have more guns than they will cover under home owners so separate policy.
All have a great day.
Dennis --
Re: home owners insurance. Have you considered an "umbrella" policy which would include your home and cars under one policy? We did that a few years ago and have saved some serious money. Auto Owners is also rated highly by Consumers Reports and even though we've had two claims our rates have not raised and they did pay quickly on those claims.
Even though our home is now paid for I would NEVER consider not having insurance even though I hate writing out that check, same with paid for cars. Just my .02.
It is a sunny 64 degrees. Going up to 80 today with some rain later.
Today is an easy day. I have a few chores to do and then I can relax and enjoy the day.

Y'all have a great Friday.

Heading to New Philadelphia, Ohio today for a meeting and it is supposed to rain. At least it is not the snow that I traveled in during the first four months of this year.

Nice weather outside. Work was good today. Did some more yard work tonight, mostly clearing some brush and picking up sticks. Practice today at Indy for road course race. Weather is supposed to be good for Saturday. I hope everyone has a good day.
Afternoon all. Back from the farms. Turkeys 5 and hunter 0. Could not get them in close enough to shoot. Bear hit two deer feeders. Had to upright and fix them. Happens again, baited dead bear.
Brent, shingles??? Like they said, old folks thingy. Had my shingles shot years ago. Hope it works. Not comfortable they say.
Shake and Bake, counting down.
Later.
