Aloha. Grey and colder here today. Too bad for a Sat. Speaking of being broke, we visited a local country club that the powers-that-be preferred as the daughter's wedding venue and I signed on the dotted line. Good thing I have more than a year to figure out how to pay for it all. I'm planning some things to do for next week being spring break for most of the family (not me).
I'll look forward to wishing on the new Lionel catalog. They got some good publicity for their basic sets at teh recent Toy Fair in NY.

Good morning all,
Cool cloudy day here. I checked TCA but no train meet today. Next one is April 5th.
Wound up the water exchange in my pool yesterday and added chlorine. Should be OK for now.
V8 Dennis, sorry about your air gun. New things are a dissapointment sometimes.
Got a lot of left overs in the fridge. Have to get busy on those or throw them out. Use them for lunches. Wife and I might go out to eat with a friend tonight.
Business news says that Olive Garden and Red Lobster had a bad quarter last time. We have an Olive garden nearby which does well but Red Lobster is too far away. We used to have a fish and chips place nearby but they quit years ago. I think the price of seafood has made those places unable to keep cost down and make a profit.
Got washing machine fixed yesterday. It was a part that cost $19 but with labor the bill was $124. Ouch!
Wife is going crazy trying to get our tax info together before we visit the tax preparer. Papers all over the house. I help where I can but it's getting out of hand. I think she is doing all the work for the tax people. Should let them do more.
Have a good weekend,
Ray

Good Morning from Blueberryhill..........
Good Morning, Joe....You really sound tired. Glad you had a good time.
It is a cloudy and cool 42 degrees. Going up to 56 today with some sunshine.
Today is an easy day. I am watching the opening day of baseball from Australia. LA & AZ. A few chores and lunch. Then, a nice nap.
Dining car had Cheerios for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Saturday.
Chuck
Konbanwa,
The older son and I returned from our snowboarding trip about an hour ago. We are tired and sore but we had a great time. The bus ride was about three hours each way which wasn't too bad. The resort was large and had some great slopes. We stuck the beginner trails and didn't try anything too crazy. I am feeling a little under-the-weather now so I need to go find the pillow.
Sayonara,
Joe
Good evening all,
Quiet day at work. Got the new CTT today. See where Lionel catalogs will be out Monday. Somewhere the new track catalog was posted. Finally got some switches listed for the G-gauge and S-gauge track. Good idea. Did 7.2 miles in 2 hours tonight. Not bad, not terribly good for the mini. Have to get better. Grimm was good tonight. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Hello there,
An extra prayer for David Barker.........
Done frying fish, Had some wine and a hot tub soak. now online camper shopping. The count tonight was 740+/-. not quite as hectic as last week. They even fixed the fryer that would regularly drop down to 250 degrees before the burner would kick on. I found a camper I'm really interested in. The drawback is it's in Richmond Indiana. Mapquest says it's 6hr and 15 minutes. Maybe a road trip next weekend if we can get together on price???
Been really busy at work. The good thing is I think I landed some work. That is a relief. A lot of the guys are running out of unemployment.
Where's Laz...........
Off to bed
Prayers for those in need

Still not quite finished yet on the pool water exchange but testing kit indicates results I'm looking for are close. If I don't get it today, I am going to call it quits and just live with the water as is. I can't keep pumping in new water forever. Probably going to have a big water bill next time.
I haven't heard anything really new about the Maylasia flight 370 search. Media is just spinning wheels over it. Hope they can at least confirm that the flight went down in the Indian Ocean. Finding the plane is a long shot.
Here we go again with the U.S. VS Russia. All the clown cars are running again in both camps.
Don B. I'd like to see that B29 when you're done. Must be pretty big. I have a l/48 DC3 hanging in the garage and that's pretty big. A B29 would be a lot bigger.
I have not heard any details about D. Barker's surgery. I must have missed the post he made about it being unsucessful so I don't know what he actually said. Hope he has some hope for a solution.
My sister in Florida finally got all her new dentures but is having trouble getting used to wearing them. Says they hurt but I think that will go away in time. Dentist knows all about it. Anyway, I have done all I can do about it so now I will just get out of the way. The ball is in her court now.
New oxygen supply company is setting me up with new equipment to replace stuff from my old supplier who is going out of business. New one is doctor recommended and sound really good so far. Will no more next Monday.
Dinner out last night at the Sizzler. Steak and salad bar was good with fried chicken wings too. They used to be an inexpensive place but now they charge as much as any other place. Only problem I had last night was that they brought my main course to the table before I even got back from the salad bar so just ate everything in reverse, i.e. Steak first and soup and salad last.
There may be a TCA meet tomorrow. I have to check.
later,
Aloha. SUnny and hope to get to 60 today but next week looks like 20s again. Sheesh! Wish it was warmer but lots of the snow is gone. Other than chores and work, nothing fun. 11 years... wow.
Morning. Surprise [nun-forecasted] chilly morning. Warming fast. 70's today and tomorrow. Possible snohio and rain Tuesday. What????? Oh well.
Gang, April 1 will be Coffee Pot's 11 years.
Hope all are doing OK. Anymore word from Barker? Will check his thread.
Good to see some new guys here. Also some of the old gang back [like blown].
Chores today. Spent part of yesterday afternoon correcting what was a misunderstanding in the local newspaper. Problem is, this is a weekly paper. So, the correction will not get out until a week later. Now we have to hear the "noise" for a week over a wrong article.
phillyreadingWent to Homestead FL on Tuesday for an overnight trip, my wife wanted to get away for a day or two and so did I. Went down to Key Largo on Card Sound road, a narrow two lane with water on both sides. Came back yesterday morning through Miami FL, and I won't come through Miami in the morning rush hour traffic again. Other then that we had a good time. We are sunny and warm down here near Miami FL, maybe a chance for rain.

Good Morning, Joe....
It is a cloudy 32 degrees. A few snow flurries. Going up to 44 today.
Today is a busy day. I have a bunch of chores to do and a small project to finish. Lunch and a nap, later.
Buckeye & LAZ...........TGIF
Dining car has the usual breakfast.
Y'all have a great Friday.
Konbanwa and Ohayo Chuck,
Yesterday’s post was from my Surface tablet so I guess the forum’s software was not completely compatible with its browser. I had a hectic Friday to close out the workweek, but that’s okay as it should be a fun weekend. The base is having a 24-hour vigil run today and tomorrow to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project and my unit has a team for it. My slot is tonight from 2200-2300. I’ll have to head straight to bed after that as the older boy and I are going on a snowboarding trip tomorrow. Our bus departs the base at 0400. We’re looking forward to it as it’s the only snowboarding trip we will make this season.
Sorry to hear about DBaker's news, but good to hear about Chuck's. Chief, do you still grand openings for Cabela's? If so, you are welcome to some Hoosier hospitality next year when one opens in Noblesville. If time permits, I can take you to the greatest racecourse in the world, and by the time the "saucy wench" have Hoosierized you, you will be saying "pert near" down by the "crick" with the rest of us. Excellent day at work.
I hope everyone has a good day.
Blueberryhill RR Hi Guys........ Good news today. I had my annual doctor's appt and checked out good. My colesterol was 188 and I lost 2 pounds. I got the OK to work on the treadmill to build up my joint muscles. Just thought I'd share that with you. Chuck

Got down to the layout this afternoon to see just how dust covered it got...not bad!! Had to just run the train round a bit to get the tracks all up and going....

Good Evening All !
Not much going on here, been working on an old model airplane kit. (1/48 B-29) It is huge. Don't know what will do with it when finished, probably toss it. But, its helping kill time.
I worked on Auto Pilots when I was in the Air Force, I would be surprised if the AP system did that, there are so many fail safes to shut it down, probably a ton more on todays aircraft. And that wouldn't prevent the transponders from reporting flight status. But, I don't know obviously.
Ray, That's a major project on the pool. I think Ive only drained and refilled 2 maybe 3 times in the 25 years. It can be tricky, more than one person has popped the pool out of the ground from just draining it without doing it the way you are. (Winter time the water table is up and that can cause the pool to pop up)
Ran a bunch of engines the other day, to check on battery operation. Everything worked well, need to clean a lot of track though.
Take care guys and stay healthy !
Don
Chuck.....Great news!!!

Still exchanging old water for new in the pool. This is the fourth day I have been doing it. Took in sample to pool store yesterday and they said I was almost finished with it so hopefully, I can wind it up today.
Had Chinese take out last night and lots left over for lunch today. Son wants to take us out to eat tonight.
Cooler weather for the balance of the week with no rain in sight.
Sounds like they may have found a clue about the downed Jet Liner from Mylasia. One senario I heard says they think an onboard fire may have disabled all the people and the plane kept on flying on automatic pilot until it ran out of gas. Probably crashed in the Indian Ocean. Maybe we will know more today.
Morning all. HELP!!! HELP!!!! Something strange in the sky. Its real bright and warm. Seems to appear in the morning sky in the east.
Hope all are well. Great news Chuck.
Not much happening today. Will go to the store, Wal-Mart, Tractor Supply and Lowe's.
Wifey has roast, potatoes, onions, carrots and celery in the slow cooker. Smells gooooood.
Have a good one.
Good Morning, Joe.......
It is a cloudy 36 degrees. Going up to 48 today with some sunshine.
Today is an easy day. I have a few chores to do and then I plan on relaxing. Lunch and a nap, later.
Usual breakfast on the dining car.
Y'all have a great Thursday.
Most excellent news Chuck. No sprinting please

So many roads, so little time.
Internet was down last night. Good days at work. Lots of wind outside makes the air miserable. I hope everyone has a good day.
Sorry to hear about D. Barker's bad news. Prayers that a solution can be found.
I have been working on the swimming pool for the last couple of days trying to lower the conditioner level which is too high but have to be careful with an in the ground vinyl lined pool. You just have to take water out and put new water in at the same time. Otherwise if the water level gets too low it will cause problems with the vinyl liner which sell for about $3K. I'm using a submersable pump with a garden hose draining in my toilet in the garage and another hose for adding water on the opposite side of the pool at the same time. This whole problem is caused by the type of chlorine I've been using which has conditoner in it. Over time the pool gets too much and the only way to get rid of it is to empty the pool. Not easy with my type of pool. The pool is a curse when you get old. We don't use it much anymore but we still have to maintain it.
Just found out that my oxygen equipment company is going bankrupt. I got a letter saying I need to get a new supplier. Am currently working out a new deal through my doctor's office. On the down side, I may or may not get a portable oxygen concentrator with a new company which will be a problem for travel. Might have to rent one. They are too expensive to buy unless you use them all the time. The whole deal depends on medicare rules plus my secondary private insurance. Hope for the best.
V8 Dennis, your tax preparation sounds pretty high unless you have a lot to be done. Maybe you need a new tax person.
Doug Murphy, congratulations on the pending wedding and good luck on the bills.
Cloudy, misty and warmer. On the run. Came home to let dogs out and back in. Out the door again. Home sometime tonight.
Happy B'day 8N.
Prayers for D. Barker.
Later.
Noon Time: 39 and Damp. Waiting for the rain.
Uneventful morning. Just getting ready for school tonight. Doray wanted to drive and go to PT by herself today. I will give her this, she is really trying.
8n: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Sounds like you had a good meeting at work. Speedy recovery for your wife.
Joe D: Bad news is always hard to deliver.
Fife: John-son is going to class in NJ. The State Police use the Middlesex County Fire Academy for Haz Mat Training. I have to laugh, I grew up walking distance to where the Academy is. I used to puddle jump ducks there almost every day right before dusk there during duck season. Now it is an Industrial Park. Down the road across the way is a Super Fund Site where National Lead (Dutch Boy Paint) used to be. They are rehabing it and a Shopping Mall with a Bass Pro Shop are going in there.
David Barker: Prayers that a procedure can be found that will be sucessful. .
John
Aloha. Raining is better than snowing here today but still a bit cold. Looks like a busy day in the office but I get to stay inside. Happy belated birthday to 8n!
Good Morning from Blueberryhill...........
Good Morning, Joe.........
It is a cloudy 36 degrees. Going up to 48 today with a slight chance of rain.
Today is a busy day. I have the usual chores to do and an errand to run. I will have lunch and maybe a nap.
Dining car has Cheerios for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Wednesday.
Mornin' boys. Cloudy and 35 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Back on nights. My precinct has been very busy this past month. Lots of bad deeds.
Hudson - Did John-son go to Alabama?
8ntruck - Any left?
Konbanwa and welcome back Chuck,
I made it out for a 3-mile run and some weight training this morning. The workday was fine but I had to deliver some bad news to two employees: one did not receive a promotion she was expecting and the other did not receive an assignment he was expecting. We have no plans for the evening except the kids’ piano lessons.
Brent – Thanks for all the observations. The rolling stock construction analysis makes sense. I conducted a very basic test comparing FasTrack to RMT’s SuperSnap. A small oval directly on our living room carpet using the same locomotive and rolling stock. The difference was amazingly noticeable; even my wife commented on how much quieter the SuperSnap was compared to the FasTrack.
dougdagrump – I’ve heard of people filling the FasTrack with different items from rubber and cork to silicon caulking.
Hudson John – I hope Doray doesn’t set back her recovery too much.
Kevin – I’m glad you can use the videos. There are plenty available online, including some great fielding drills.
Happy Birthday 8N!
